    That's the topic I was expecting someone to give me advice on and your video came right in time ! Because I didn't make it to GSOC but I did make it to GirlScript Summer of Code (GSSoC'23)(same opensource internship as Gsoc but for 3 months only) thanks to you and yep there are few things i need to work on so will be religiously doing projects and upskill and already connected to your discord too so fingers crossed for GSOC'24

    I have learned basic web stuff like react next some backend etc. but now i am going to to do something on my own and build projects without worrying about tech stack

    Hey sir i am a 2nd year college student
    I contributed to a organisation for GSOC this year my proposal was good and i was in top contributors this year my mentor loved my proposal and really wanted me to get it gsoc but unfortunately Google didn't provide enough slot and community also did some unfair selection and i didn't make into GSOC and the issue i faced that i wasn't good with react i am sorry confused and stressed about it and i also have some doubts you shared about calcom open source project so should I contribute to open source project like calcom or i should build some projects or do DSA and try for internship so confused about all this please guide me thank you!

    Maybe I'm wrong but I'm a 3rd year student and this year I didn't apply because I already had a summer internship signed with JP Morgan and didn't want to over burden.. So for next year I should focus on contributing early right or learn new tech(like web3/devops, as I'm currently a Full stack dev)? Rather than projects

      @@tanaymaurya6806 No I got it from on-campus, like there was first this hackathon called as Code for Good which comes to campuses for registration and I got this opportunity via it. I did used to practice (just some) dsa/cp before, like in my first year.. but in the hackathon only dev skills mattered.

    Can any one tell
    how to know which projects of a particular organization are going to come in GSOC list.
    I know orgs are selected by Gsoc
    Are the projects also selected by Gsoc ,Or organization itself?
    And do we have to start contributing to only that project which is going to feature in gsoc as he mentioned in video. If so, then the project is already coaded right, then why to code the same project again during gsoc coding period.
