    This episode reveals what we know about the solar system’s hard-to-reach planets and the probes that have visited them plus the evolution of one of space explorations most iconic survival tool: the spacesuit.
    Before spaceflight aviators began wearing pressure suits to allow them to function at higher ceilings. These aviation suits were adapted for the early Cosmonauts and Astronauts but as requirements became more demanding spacesuit design became more elaborate.
    This episode looks at the evolution of the modern spacesuit, capable of supporting life in extreme conditions.
    For most of human history our neighbouring planets were little more that dots of light in the sky with comets and asteroids being a complete mystery. Today the smaller rocky planets and asteroids are seen as the key to understanding in the formation of our planetary system.

Pressure difference in space is 1 atm vs 0, while underwater it could multiple atmospheric pressures vs 1. So, space conditions in the orbit are easier when you get there. rockets need air to thrust against, theres no air in space apparently

    • @martiansoon9092
      @martiansoon9092 3 года назад +1

      Not true. Rockets exhausts the fuel and from ejection speed rockets gets their thrust. There's no air in the space. Rockets doesn't need air to thrust against.
      On atmosphere rockets can use air to flow with fuel and get more molecules that speeds up. Also pressure of the air gives extra oomph. Ie. SpaceX is designing to use 2 different engine cones, one in vacuum (Vacuum Raptors aka. RVac's) and other in the atmosphere. RVac has larger cone and lower exhaustion speeds to function better in the vacuum.
