I really like the way your analyse things and specially the psychology analysis your did on the Kepler OT8 video, you give amazing insights and I'm ready to hear whatever you are ready to discuss next. Before I start watching this new video (And I didn't even followed Kepler career that much lol) I hope one day your make a analysis in the I-land series, it was my obsession this summer and I think it gives great material to analysis, specially season 1. For me personally I would agree with the main dancers and put Yujin and Yeseo in lead since they are above the bottom 3 dance wise by a good margin. Yujin is also the one who seems to teach everyone the choreo from the media I’ve seen which puts her immediately at lead for me and she has very good detail oriented skills she might not have the explosiveness of the top 5 but shes the best at what she’s the best at and it’s honestly really important. And Yeseo was in the 3 dance breaks that Kepler has and is the closest to the top 4 Dance wise only being below Youngeun depending on type of choreo sometimes even being better than her.
I won’t speak on anyone’s dance skills since I know little. I think these are really good arguments for both Yeseo and Yujin, although if I picked one for main I would pick Yeseo, since Yujin is a main vocal in this universe. I personally feel like the meaning of ‘lead’ vs ‘main’ etc is so convoluted I’d rather just stick with ‘main’, ‘dancer’ and ‘sub’, but one day maybe they’ll have widely accepted meaning across all of kpop
@@dragonintheorb I get that I generally accept lead for dancer and singer as members who support and add to the mains and can compliment and have enough skills to stand out individually if given the spotlight on the occasion that they do. So for example the rest of red velvet has specific roles within their vocal arrangements. Wendy is the melody Seulgi and Joy harmonize up and Yeri and Irene harmonize down since all 5 members are good vocalists. But supporting adlibs are done by Seulgi and Joy and they are most likely the ones to have the difficult vocal arrangement after Wendy making them leads. Same applies for dance but I’m more experienced as a vocalist and I haven’t danced since I was 16 so I can’t give the exact way of deciding lead dancers but what I said above it’s usually what I think about.
See, I agree with that definition and I think it’s good - but then I hear people say that main and lead are the same, or that lead is actually better (like a leader) or whatever else… so unfortunately I don’t think the idea of the lead as complimenting the main is fully accepted/integrated yet (although that is the view of lead I subscribe to).
