Imagine his colab with Boston Dynamics. We'll have an army of terminators walking on the streets lol
I think boston was trying this method of muscles but it needs too much equipment, to move one arm, so electric motors are more compact¯\_༼ •́ ͜ʖ •̀ ༽_/¯,unfortunately(
I don't know if Boston dynamics are really focused on have robots like humans. I think they prefer functional robots for specific functions, so they don't have to be like humans.
Keep this in the private sector. We need to maintain ownership of some technologies.
@@Titax911 Boston dynamics also uses hydraulics. Electric motors are not scalable.
@@DicePunk Private sector is not "we", we have no ownership of anything on the private sector. We are the public sector, where we own everything.
The dexterity is beyond any other projects I've seen. With more work and some really efficient softwares to run it, it will be incredible.
I've been dreaming of this design since I was 10. Sucks to see someone else make it but exciting to see it made!
Yep, what's shocking is how these things are being made by engineers in the garages.
You still have your chance. They are using hydraulic-based muscles, which require awkward, bulky pumps. Find a better material for artificial muscles, and you'll be able to make a whole artificial body from scratch sooner than them moving to the elbow-arm-shoulder part.
or you can apply for a job in Clone
you're a genius ! did you really think of it when you were 10 ? damn...
@@nowymail - these McKibben style PAM/HAM actuators are excellent in their own ways. Sadly, the electric-only HASEL and EAP materials I've seen thus far don't seem to have similar performance characteristics.
The rhythm of the servos and electronics and all that is very pleasing, what a happy singing little bio machine!
It will sound pleasing when they're patrolling the streets telling you to stay inside your home during the next pandemic.
@@Wodkaholicthese hands will have the same weak points as a real human hand, only worse, as nylon strings cannot heal.
just grab the thumbs and pull it in the opposite direction.
@@cessposter If you really think it'd be that easy then you aren't thinking about it enough.
@@klaus6178 with enough bricks anything is possible

So badass!
Can’t wait for the robot takeover.

Sorry, never heard of it. Sounds interesting though.
This I believe is the best approach when it comes to robotics and prosthetics. Replicating the muscles of the body and their function is a great approach. Can’t really get that with motors and hydraulics. Convincingly anyway.
the progress you guys are making is insane!! the amount of dexterity and the ever shrinking pump package is unreal
Been following this channel for a few years, it's been great seeing the hand evolve
I would give any and every possession in my life away for even the chance to work on a machine this beautiful
Exactly what we did ❤
This looks fascinating and compact.
Compact, if not for the case full of servos needed to operate it
@@maxgrey3694 I'm referring to fact that arm doesn't have to be bulky in order to work properly. Sure servos are one of reason why you can't make it into prosthetic arm without adding extra bulk.
You guys are doing some insane works!!! This is the most realistic robot hand to a human hand. Congrats!!!!
One of the most advanced and beautiful articulated hands I've seen. It gives a little insight of how the human anatomy is so complex yet so astonishing.
this is like the premise of the anime "knight's and magic"
(not a typo, that's how they puctuate it)
Wish i still had the extra funds to keep donating. Ive enjoyed watching the progress over the years.
Thank youuuuu ive been picturing this design in my head for ages. Seeing it in person feel so good. This is the future of protetics and FULL functionality
Excellent 👍
Awesome love you guys can't wait to talk and work together. Talk you soon!!
Lucky
As we can see, even without a lot of money, ambitious people can change reality. Awesome!
You’ve guys came a LONG way!!! I’d remember watching your vids over a year ago and now just wow 😯 time passed by and keep it up y’all….
It's got a nice beat and you can dance to it. Awesome device!
the suit case looks like a BOMB XDD
cool movements though
It's great that each new version dramatically increases the capabilities of your robot arm.
One of the best and most realistic design around. Keep up
Im so facinated, it looks so natural! cover that hand in fake skin and mute the sound and you'd have a hard time noticing it's robotic until it zooms out.
Exactly..how crazy would that be, imagine also them using actual shapes of muscles for the tendon muscles instead of long tubes, then with a realistic silicon skin this would be able to fool people into believing it's a real hand.
You work is outstanding, I appreciate Your work 👍👍
Amazing work
Sounds like a bop
It’s getting better as time passes
Damm this robot gonna have some crazy ball play
Hey, I’ve been watching your content for awhile and your progress is looking great. Keep it up bro
Clone is very good at handling balls. Brilliant progress so far
Hol' up 🤨
Just need another hand to stroke the shaft.. 😏
have we learned nothing from every robot apocalypse movie? Still that is impressive.
This beat goes so hard🔥🔥🔥
Truly impressive
Nice to see one of the most advanced pieces of prosthetics is powered by a rasberry pi.
Damn, you guys are building the future. I would love to see you connect this hand with an AI and see how effectively the AI controls this hand.
I have a feeling that in six months, maybe in a year, we will see the simultaneous work of two hands from such a suitcase.
How wonderful
Yooo those are some 💥💥💥💥 beats
this is very impressive
Beautiful💚💚💚⚙️
Very impressive
Niesamowita i SUPER w dodatku produkt Polski 🙂
good start, now we need to miniaturize it and come up with a good man-machine interface to control it.
I mean if the power pack can be miniaturized to a briefcase I could probably be miniaturized with backpack and then then someone could just wear it and it would still be better than any of the current prosthesis on the market.
Now we just need some living tissue for this metal endoskeleton
Как же это круто!
That's a nice arm inator
Closest we get to replicating a human arms and fingers
Wow!!!
Nice beat
Even if this isn’t that strong/durable, this could be used for those who are in a more intricate and less physical line of work, like doctors, jewelers, or artists
Niesamowite postępy robicie. Ciekawe czy dało by się skalować zestaw sterujący do mniejszych rozmiarów. Kiedyś dość mocno ciekawiły mnie zawory piezoelektryczne, to chyba było najbardziej kompatkowe rozwiązanie jeżeli chodzi o sterowanie proporcjonalne ciśnieniem. Festo miało kilka lat temu wyspę zaworów piezoelektrycznych co znacznie zmiejszało rozmiary układów sterowania.
Czekam na więcej :D
This is without a doubt amazing but I think our limiting factor for things like these are the power supply and the pneumatic pumps to work it all
I hope you are preparing for something big Gentlemen Because we haven't seen you in a long time. I don't even want to think about global super elites eliminating you
I've been wanting to see the progression of prosthetics to reproduce the strength and dexterity of real human limbs and this looks like the path to that. Limbs that have operate off of a mechanical version of human musculature and biology
Wonderful
It has better motorics than 90% of people.
I am paralyzed on the upper left side of my body, i can't wait to use this arm.
T800 arm! i knew it!!!
Spooky!
It's alive IT'S ALIIIIIIIIVE
Хороший прогресс)
ligament ... not to confuse with ligma xD xD
and wow nice progress and results
Polski TERMINATOR zaczyna istnieć
Terminator guys Terminator we getting closer
Hey here's an idea, instead of using only braided pneumatic tubes. Maybe try shaping larger muscles groups like arm muscles etc in their respective shape. Keep a tube structure within the synthetic muscle and find a restrictive braided sheething. I understand how these pneumatic muscles work. I actually wanted to make prosthetic limbs when I was a kid up to my teenage years.
Aren't the muscles already grouped? It may just be my lack of understanding the anatomy but I blelieve that the Pronator teres and the forarm flexors are already correctly placed and grouped.
I am scared scratching my balls with this.

Nice nice
Do you guys have a simulated version, that a model can train itself on changing from one pose to another? I think that with this kind of design it could turn out great. Biomimetic hand being controlled by a neural algorithm sounds dope :D
yes, we are working on that
Introducing: Arm in a Box! This summer's must have family fun!
When will it be able to deburr after cnc?
that is looking so damn good! I hope you can get peak grip strength up to 30kg or so while retaining reasonable actuator and pump sizes. how is the overall noise level?
One RUclipsr, namely Alex Burkan, proposed the concept of using a hydrogen generator instead of a compressor. Yes, it is explosive, but who does not take risks does not drink champagne. According to the idea, the use of an electrolyzer instead of a compressor will give a number of advantages, namely compactness, lightness and noiselessness. Maybe even speed up.
If it's not difficult, please answer this comment.
now the only thing remains is to make the pump system more compact
Controlled by Raspberry Pi 4 I guess 😮 Beautiful ❤️...
Praise the Omnisaia.
Have you tried to individualize each finger code to make it more confident on the movements?
Don’t bring that briefcase to an airport
Is there one with silicon smooth skin
i wonder would the hand and the digits expirience touch if you upgrade it with hall sensors
👍👍👍👏👏👏
Maybe this could possibly be the pathway for prosthetics?
What if you use a combination of muscles?
Положение шарика без видео камеры определяется с помощью датчиков только на руке?
I see, you work on a compact design. That´s the key to prostetics, or use in Androids.
seems just like my hand
How many muscle fibers equivalent does it have? How much force can it output?
Dude! Somebody send this to Elon Musk post haste! This is awesome. Really interested if they would want this approach on Optimus.
there is a very small number of individual “muscle fibers”, which is why the functionality is so weak. but if u create this with nano-technologies using robots u can make a good one with good functionality (good mobility). u have there maybe 200 elements. if u use 2000 000 elements and good programming u can make good one.

To much hardware to get any practical us but i love the idea
At some point, if you make a full sized humanoid, the pumps will be a problem to fit inside the body. R u looking into any different forms of muscles, other than hydraulic?
How do the fingers sense touch? Is it through measuring pressure of the muscles?
Right now is pressure and vision
How close are we to me being able to chop off my arm that is fucked up from years of boxing and gymnastics?
