When I was in Iraq in 2003, I Noticed the Iraqi-tabuks are based on the Zastava type AK's The most unique one I captured was a Folding stock Yugoslavian RPK! The Al-kadesia Marksman rifle is half SVD and half Romanian PSL! If I got time I got to email you these Ak's.
wow! I watched these two videos and also the other ak videos(recently the history of russian ak 47 and semi auto imports and others on individual aks) this videos are awesome I love them so much. It makes wanna start buying aks and start my own collection.
The Chinese called their AK as 五六式冲锋枪, it means, 56 Type Sub Machine Gun. However, the term 冲锋枪 is more closely related to the German Sturmgewehr, meaning to storm or to assault an enemy position. It's just one of the thing I'm fascinated with, how translation doesn't work with cultural context.
As usual, extremely informative! I gain information every time I watch your videos. I pray your always correct! LOL. What do you have for.your own collection? Would love to see a video on them. I haven't shit yet, but after I leave my communist state of New Yorkistan, I will have some!
I've seen a photo of a Panamanian Defense Force soldier carrying an MPI-KMS side folder while giving the middle finger to the camera, so yeah...The Germans really did export a lot of them to rather odd places
I have a 1977 10/63 with all matching numbers, it's the only one ive very seen. Is that uncommon? And why does my Romainan 10/63 have a circle Y on the barrel?
I see you have one of the new converted VEPRs for sale on GunBroker...you keeping one for yourself to review. I see a 5.45 was released today. I am hoping to see some RPKs next
Yep, hopefully the 23" barreled version with bipod will eventually come out.As things stand right now, the 7.62mm version will sell better than the 5.45mm just due to ammo cost/availability and originality. If i had an RPK barrel, i'd put it on one of them.
Do they make Yugo M77’s chambered in 7.62x39? I was told my M77 was chambered in that when I purchased the rifle, but I cannot find any information saying they were made chambered in that round. Only .308 or the 7.62x51.
Hi Eric, yep i have thought a bit about doing a mag thing...probably with pouches too. I like pouches...but right now we're starting a month long project, with the first installment uploading now. So we'll be busy with that for awhile. We'll revisit the AK though, cheers.
Hello! Im from Germany. You videos are awesome. Have you ever heared of the civil version AK's from S.D.M. (produced in China Bejing)? That guns are often sell in Europe (no ban from China). Thy are like Norincos Typ 56. I heared so that S.D.M. (Sino Defense Manofacture) is a civil Brand of Norinco.
Thank you for watching, and welcome to the channel. We are adding new videos about every 2 to 3 days, including German and Chinese guns from time to time.
Between the two? The M92PV: better quality and shorter. SAR-1 vs VEPR? SAR-1 for the simple fact they have been out of production for nearly 14 years. You can go and buy a new VEPR anytime.
+Ozark Bear Arms thanks for the input. I like the fact Draco are chromelined but don't see them much anymore. I think they used to be cheaper too. The vepr were supposed to be of high quality but I have an opportunity to get a Sar1 at a fair price. I wouldn't pay 1000 for them tho as I can get a 107fr for the same value.
I wouldn't either. I sell new VEPRs for $700-$800 in the store depending on model, and the SAR-1 should go for $700-$850 depending on condition & accessories. Chromelining is nice but overrated. The M92PV has better build quality compared to the DRaco, and is much closer to a true AKSU 'Krink' too. And if you like fireballs, there is also always the Mini and Micro Dracos hehe.
Question; so I've been looking for a Romanian, Polish (anything but Russian or an Arsenal) AK47. I want an older AK47 (I love the idea of an old AK47) SOMETHING IN THE 1960'S (maybe 70'S). I want to put nice "Russian Red" furniture on it, bayonet, fixed stock, basically a very "classic" AK47. I haven't been able to find ANYTHING.. Atlantic Firearms has a Romanian 63 parts kit (fully-assembled) but with no stock, trigger group, safety lever but they haven't got back to me if the AK47 is actually stamped from 60'/70's. I don't care about the finish either- I'd finish it myself. I just CAN'T FIND ANYTHING AHHHHH!! It's killing me! I don't know how to build my own so that's out of the question. But as far as finishing or adding furniture, bayonet, muzzle break, that's no big deal. Does anyone know where I can get something like this? I don't want it from USA or Russia (& I don't want an Arsenal) MONEY IS NO OBJECT! THANKS!
- TheNuttyGunNut - actually, not a bad idea. For some reason, even though I'd be willing to pay up to $1300-1500 I have a soft spot for the WASR 10! The only issue would be finding a 60s/70s stamped trunion. Every one I've come across is made from within the past couple years. Side note, if the wood was nice enough (like a Boyds Russian Red or even just a really nice plain wood) I wouldn't habe to mess with the furniture. Possibly a Khyber Customs "cheese grater" but that's it
Agreeing, most of the time a WASR10 is the right answer to someone's first AK. Personally, i do not like the faux 'Russian Red' wood furniture made in the USA. Its entirely too red. The real stuff is more subdued and can range from basically brown, to red tinted, to reddish blond. Tula wood tends to be a darker shade, somewhat 'blood red.' Izhevsk wood usually has a lighter tone and is not as red.
Haha, very nice! Yeah btw that Intrac maadi sold, and unfortunately this other guy here I was selling my rifle and parts too is just ignoring me now lol. I have 3 other potentially interested ppl, but idk if you'd or any1 you know be interested. I'm selling my unfired straight cut mak90 94 b-west import and I have all the Original Norinco Chinese parts to convert it into a spiker aside from the fsb spiker unit which is made by Polytech USA. Don't know if you'd like that sort of thing but thought I'd ask. I can txt pics if u want.
I feel you....My conversion rate on GB is very high with usually only 1 NPB every 6 weeks or so. This month? I've had 5 of them. I have no idea why people are so flaky. You know damn well that if you did them that way in a reverse situation, they'd be screaming bloody murder lol. My friend Jerry likes Chicom AKs. Let me ask him. Might be able to help you out. Lets take this to e-mail though. Just shoot me a line at this username @ gmail.
Ozark Bear Arms Yeah, crazy right now, like these guys know the price going in, don't play games and waste my time, and thanks a lot for the help man! I'll send an email.
Great video series, comrдde! I have a question. Do you know if the current production Zastava M92 PAP pistols are being built in factory with new old stock/surplus M92 parts, or are they built using newly manufactured parts. Someone was trying to tell me that these are being made with old M92 parts kits, in Serbia.
I think that all parts are new. Serbia runned out of old stocks for AK. Had one and trust me, mud, extensive use and dirt couldnt stop its great performance.
Exactly, i just got the hardware and stuff to SBR mine...great little gun for the money. J&G once had the M92PV for as low as $400. I paid $500 for mine and still consider it a bargain.

Depends, what are you looking for and what interests you? Thank you for watching too.
Also if it helps, i just bought a James River rifle for myself. It was a BM59 though, not one of their AKs.
my personal recomendation is Yugo AK. l had great expirience with it, trust me, you wont regret it.
