absolut genial!! die trompeter haben einen orden verdient ;) echt tolle leistung!!! ihr spielts das irrsinnig schnell (und trotzdem ohne fehler - bewundernswert), was sich sehr gut anhört. die verzögerung des schlagzeugs passt pefekt dazu! gratulation zu diesem traumhaften auftritt!!!!

Actually, while the drums did vary from the written part & play a bit louder than needed at times, it is similar to what an American jazzer might do, and this piece is all about military boys on holiday getting into mischief!
Weird trumpets....sideways and they don't move their fingers. Quite strange. I've played this...you have to move your fingers... Plus there is an upper register thing going on...not the usual arrangement. Sounds amazing, though, so no complaints..
WHOA!!!! Where's the fire??? It's almost too fast; the orchestra barely is able to cleanly articulate the scales/runs. Four trumpets? And inappropriate liberties were taken with Leroy Anderson's magnificent arrangement.

Wow. Fast! Great recording. And I think the symbol percussion is deliberate. Adds a nice syncopation and jazzy feel. I love it.
