This video went viral over the internet: a boy struggling to get to the surface after getting pushed deep into the pool. When panicked, the body becomes heavier. However, the human body has a natural ability to float. To survive in such a situation, it's important to stay calm. By relaxing, the body can regain control and naturally float to the surface.
To survive in such a situation, it's important not to empty your lungs. By keeping your lungs filled with air, you increase buoyancy and improve your chances of floating to the surface. So, in moments of distress in the water, remember to keep your lungs full to stay afloat.

Hi! Lil swimming kid here. If you want to flowt back up, don’t kick your legs like that. Also stay calm while floating back up. To get to the surface faster, kick your legs like a frog style. Heres how to do it: kick both of your legs to the sides, not paddling your legs but instead real kicking. Its fast and i suggest doing that.

this is big facts, its dangerous to empty lungs especially if you’re scared to touch the bottom
I dived oncetried to reach the bottom it was like 15 metters down i thought it was less than that, i was like 17 and more athletic than i am right now so i got close enough and thats when i felt i dont have enough oxygen but still i just kept going till i reached the bottom where i just used my legs to push and thats when i realised that i had no oxygen left and it was so scary that the surface seemed sooo far to me, thank god i kept all the air in my lungs because i had experience with that, if i wasnt a swimming lover id couldve been dead.

The pool we had in our school had almost the same depth if not more and a friend of mine pushed me to the bottom like that. I have had intense fear of deep waters throughout my life and to make matters worse at that instant the power went out in our school building leaving me in pitch black darkness as I ran out of breath at the depths of the pool struggling to get back up(the pressure kept pressing me downwards) and the slant of the bottom surface made me slip more towards the deeper end of the pool in the cold pitch black water. I'm getting goosebumps even writing this. I don't know how tf I survived but that gave me real bad ptsd and thallasophobia.
OMG i once swallowed water underwater in a 12 foot pool and choked all the way up it was horible
The fact you made it out of that situation and wasn’t prepared means you can overcome swimming and get rid of that pesky ptsd. You’ve been to the bottom and made it out. You can conquer your fear now.
Wait so you almost drowned or you just had a hard time swimming in deep water and now your fear has gotten worse.
I once got sucked into a low hanging dame as a kid. My friends mom saved me but it felt like something grabbed me by my ankles and sucked me straight to the bottom
omg I feel really bad for you kinda the same the happened to me One time I was supposed to pass through this mat in the water it was pretty big but I didn’t really mind and went under then I was out of breath and tried going up and was still under the mat it was so heavy to lift so I was stuck under then I finally got out and drank a lot of water and I was too scared to go under it again this was at school
Empty your lungs and the floating disappears. A muscular person will have an even heavier time getting back to the surface.
Waow really does getting rid of the obvious thing making you float stop you from floating? I thought air made you sink under water

@@negius7237not obvious to many. it's needs to be pointed out lol

@@negius7237 I’m glad Yk obvious things man
For those who struggle to swim. Dont kick your feet, act like youre walking, relax your ankles. Use your hands to push the water below, like youre trying to dig with your hands. If youre one of those people who just sinks no matter what, if its only 10ft or so, you can wait until you hit the bottom, and jump. Make yourself thin and jump as hard as you can, youll make it to the surface. Im a florida man whos swimming for as long as i can remember
Thank you for advance 😊
I will definitely try this, thanks! It's hard for me to stay afloat. I can swim, but treading makes me tired so fast.
You may have negative buoyancy
Kicking your feet is just an alternate way to swim and works just as well, though he didn't do it correctly
Thank you
As a swimmer, we were taught to do "dolphin kicks" aka kicking with both legs at the same time. Doing this helps you reach the surface much faster than doing regular kicks. Or you can jump once you reach the bottom of the pool.
Breaststroke kicks are also very effective
This guy is top tier gaslighter, you do not get heavier when panicked those kinda thoughts will just make u panic more 😭
dumb people trying to intelligently summarize. but no the panicking makes you breathe more and release more air. that makes you denser, as theres less air. and has nothing to do with your emotional state.

Okay there should be some warnings on this video. 1. This person obviously didn’t have the ability to swim down that deep. And his friends pushed him further than he was able to go himself. Do not EVER do this. Especially if they don’t know to swim VERY well. With one wrong move this guy could’ve been at the bottom of this pool for a long time. Please only do what you know youre capable of. 2. It’s a lot easier said than done to stay calm when you’re running out of oxygen. Instead try to focus on holding your breath in for as long as you can handle the CO2. Although it sucks the air that’s in your lungs is helping you (even if slightly) get back to the surface. Once you breath out it will be SO much harder to swim back up. Especially if you’re already at the point where you ran out of oxygen for your body to use. And 3. Please stay safe and don’t do shit like this. I’ve been swimming for 15 years with experience scuba diving. And I would need some serious prep work before I would want to try this. And I wouldn’t have my stupid ass friend push me down to the bottom if I couldn’t reach it. (I’m sorry that really pisses me off because literally his friend could’ve ended his life with that stupid decision. But anyway) you guys please stay safe around the water. You might think it’s all fun and games until you’re at the bottom of whatever body if whatever you’re in and your body is forcing you to breath in water while you try to reach the surface. Only to sink progressively deeper. Yeah that sounds scary right? Good. Stay safe around water. Please.

This is not how a normal person swims up in a panic, in fact, as a diver i can tell you, when you know what’s the right way up, you usually go too fast and hurt your eardrums or if you’re deep enough, even get the bends, but that only happens when scuba diving usually.

Problem was, he panicked before he even hit the bottom where if you had any water experience you would know you're supposed to allow yourself to sink to the bottom and then use your legs to spring up and you initially place your arms at your side legs straight to ascend as far as possible. This guy's leg movements were almost completely useless and his arm movements were hardly better.
It may look like he sprung from the bottom but he actually kicked the side of the pool in panick which won't really help him go upward when you're that far down (pressure.) I am pretty sure the instructor was trying to help him spring off the bottom. Maybe the trainee needs more water acclimation before going this deep.

Some individuals are just not as buoyant. These individuals have a harder time keeping their head out of the water.
Fam just don’t release your oxygen
@@Bxlltfn the buoyancy test where you take in one full lung of air and hold it and stay vertically still with minimal clothing on a calm day at the beach(should be salt water) it differs for everyone regardless of body type. Some individuals with the same weight and body type may have different buoyancy one has his eyes or even nose above water by staying vertically still and one might have his head barely breaking the surface. It’s just that there are some people who are very buoyant while others are sinkers.
@@PitFitHuntFanthats why you dont just stay there you start taking big strides up while having your lungs filled its how i taught my 4yo brother
@@alexisvargas7455 yes if your not as buoyant as an average person you have to work harder on your technique to stay afloat. I’m one of those who are not as buoyant and I’m a recreational diver. On our dive course we had our buoyancy test on the ocean and in the pool. In the pool on a lung with full air if I assume an Indian stance sitting position, I sink to the bottom. In the ocean even with a full dive suit which adds to buoyancy, top of my head barely breaks the surface by staying relatively still… in the group me and my son where the sinkers along with one other individual while my wife and daughter are floaters and some where extra buoyant requiring very little effort and hardly much movement to stay afloat. I’m not thick boned like my son but I am still a sinker, it’s just the way I’m built probably having denser bones either thru genetics or adaptation as I’ve been into martial arts since I was a kid and had several minor fractures and bone/joint injuries. The great apes like gorillas, chimps, and orangutans also are sinkers just for trivia.😁
@@PitFitHuntFan i aint reading allat if my 240 frined can do it there no excuse
People say "its easier said than done" but its actually much easier to do it than to explain how it works.
Explanation: when deep into the water stand straight like a soldier with your hands down. This will give you a more water dynamic shape that will put the bodys ability to float in much better use. While straight in might take a second for you to gain momentum so to speed up the process flap your feet in a back and forth peaceful and fast(if necessary) motion. More experienced swimmers will also use their hands and whole body to help them reach the surface faster. By doing all this you are sure to hit the surface in no more than ~10 seconds from 7 meters deep so make sure to *STAY CALM* cause there is not reason to stress
"The human body has a natural ability to float"

Bro all I do is close my eyes and hold my breath and then wait like 5 seconds then I’m up😂
You can also just relax every muscle which will make it so you float to the surface of the water, then you can swim all the way to the shore
3 tips from me
1.never panic because water is 830x denser that air
2.never empty your lungs
3.always have a partner that can swim
That’s how I swim in my dreams
releasing air from lung is like "why do you want to die so quickly"
Close you fingers and cup your hands. If you are trying to swim but are not moving, it’s because the motions you are creating are canceling each other out. First push with your arms, then your legs. Alternate between those.
This is kinda hard to describe through a comment… but if you are not confident in the water. Go to a pool in the shallow end and try stiff out and play with the timing of your strokes to better improve
Im a swimmer, if you pushed to the bottom of the pool, let your feet touch the floor, trust me
Then push/ kick the floor as strong as you can with both leg then make your body streamline ( stand up still position)
You will go to to the surface in a second, even in 8 m deep pool
Bro has a bad friend
You panick more, you fight the water
The way of relaxing in these situations is KNOWING how to get out of it. The more full the lungs of the air, the faster you will float out. Secondly, never make uncontrolled moves like this guy did in the video. And third, if there is anything underneath you, try pushing yourself off of it. It gives you the much needed velocity in the beginning to start with getting to the surface. If there is nothing solid, move your legs as if you’re carrying fins as scuba divers do.
This is true one time when I was younger at my school we were swimming so I barely knew how to swim we were still learning while we were holding on the edges listening to the teacher I accidently let go from the edge and drowned to the bottom I stayed calm kicked my legs and arms and got to the surface and held the edge again if u panic u will drown no one really noticed me drown but its fine

they wasn’t finna let that man go out like that 😂
When i was younger, i used to empty my lungs like this so i could lay down at the bottom of the pool. I only ever did this in like 3-4' water so i could resurface by just standing tho. Not tryna die just wanted to chill down there for some reason😂
People worrying about the man:
Me worrying about how deep the pool is:
I drowned once surfing and was revived on the beach. I panicked and then gave up and breathed in water. I blacked out and friends saw my board tomb-stoning. Never surf alone!)
as someone who has been swimming and diving into absolutely deep pool waters, i just push my hands down without kicking to go up. lol
If you don’t know how to swim and you’re in a pool/and form of water
Try and get on you’re back (CALMLY) once you’re on you’re back you’ll float to the surface pretty fast
If not slowly take you’re hands and form a cup on Botha palms if you’re hands and slowly put both arms stretched above you’re head and push down to the sides like you’re making a snow angel
For you’re legs you want to kick slowly in a simple pattern
Kick you’re one leg first and when it come back into its original position kick the other and repeat
That is called a breaststroke and it is the pain swimming form when underwater
Remember to be kind, help others if the guy panicked way to hard, he could have drowned.
Do not betray people to get first place, and he shook it off like it was nothing, the pool looked like it was 8-10 ft deep, so if this ever happens to you,
Just make sure you got this. And do not
