I think the daughter is delulu and is acting entitled. She’s an adult (young adult but still an adult). Allowing the father of the child to move in and for them to play happy family under OP’s roof is asking too much. While I do believe it take a village to raise a child they need to at least get their own space and then the village can come to them when/if needed.

I think that they should all sit down and talk about how they are going to be able to raise this child realistically. Maybe get them to understand where your coming from and try to understand where they are coming from. And your resin piece looks beautiful 😍

it is a hard one but at the end of the day it was the daughter & bf who created the baby so both need to mature quick & do what's best for baby, this also includes not relying on the mum. the bf sounds like he's not gonna be too involved so daughter will still need some support though.

Honesty, even though it might sound harsh , I think op is doing the right thing. Sounds like the daughter is used to her mom/dad come help her and support her when things go wrong. I have a feeling the daughter thought she could get op to take care of the child so daughter could play mommy when she felt like it. Ops daughter is 19, her mother doesn't have any obligations to her. Alot of parents would have kicked her out the moment they were told, not offer her other options. Yeah, i agree its kinda sucky of op to kick her out if she doesn't have an abortion but at the same point, it doesn't sound like the daughter is ready for a kid at all.

I think the bigest AH is the boyfriend. I see this situation as a broke dude trying to make his life more comfortable by impregnanting a stupid teen. He probably told her some fancy unrealistic tales about their perfect life together and an unexperienced girl totally bought it. I'm on OP side. OP didn't force their daughter for abortion, but just said that it is not good time and on their oppinion it would be betted dessigion. Feel grown up and ready for this responsebility? Great. Not in my house. You and your sperm donor are on your own now

Kids 19, shes legally an adult but thats still a teenager going through big changes. For her mom to try and get her to have an abortion and then kick her out for this is absolutely absurd to me. She should have asked instead of expecting when hoping to have her partner move in, and op should have sat down and had an in-depth conversation about expectations and boundaries going forward so they could make a plan together. And as a mom herself I would think shed have an idea of how emotional her daughter would be about this, especially as a pregnant teen mom!
Kid sounded like she was hoping to have the baby dad move in to help with the baby, and when told "thats not happening" shot back with "oh so then you get to take his part if youre not letting him take it", which while not the best thing feels like a push back of "if i cant have x I need y instead, if you cant provide y then allow me to have x"

I absolutely feel the father on this story.. the dad was trying to help them be sensible.. he's doing whatever a real dad that wants what's best for their kid would do... I was this 19 year old one time however I didn't demand all these things like a little brat. And my dad did eventually get over and helped me and my daughter more then anyone in the world. Dad's have their own way of raising kids and it's not kiss ass like moms. And anyone raised by a man only would only understand this. The daughter is being super selfish here. I'd never do this to my dad. However he did turn out to be my biggest fan n help. However I didn't force him or give him ultimatums..

It doesn’t say that OP was a dad and when she refers to the post she actually said her and mom.
