    Have you all found that insurance will cover IBCLCs that don’t have other medical credentials?
    I was trying to hunt around and it looked like a lot of them possibly won’t cover unless RN, NP, MD, DO, RD. It looked like a lot of them maybe don’t cover only IBCLC. 😐 which is super unfortunate

    Hi! I hope you ladies are still going strong in the lactation consult field! I'm in Shreveport, LA and I'm about to start my training course for IBCLC but I want to make sure I have my private practice stuff ready to go, I'd love to touch base if possible and get some clarification about the job, opportunities, and starting up a private practice!     In Uganda, you go to the registration bureau services and get info about registration of companies, NGOs, sole proprietorship etc. Then register for TIN number for tax, capital city authority and post office. If you are going to offer services in a physical location, you need a trading license.
    So definitely things differ but there are structures in place
