Neat video, thanks so much! For people doing this now in 2023, Steam changed the location of where to find Library folders in the settings. Under "settings" you now have to go to "Storage" and then you can add a new library folder by clicking the "+" icon next to your existing drive. Then select the games you want to move and click "move"
I am getting a m.2 for my second drive and had a hdd so Im moving all my 42 games onto it and this saved my life man fr thanks didn't want to uninstall and reinstall everything XD

Thanks hugely Fraser. For anyone this isn't working for, I had missed the "create new folder" step because I wasn't paying attention properly to Fraser's excellent instructions.
ive been wondering why i had so little space on my pc left then realized I had a secondary place I can put my games but didn't know how to move them. But this video was short, sweet and to the point and I appreciate that. I give it a thumbs up and subscribe.

Finally got it, Settings>Downloads>Steam Library Folders> Then right click on the drive u want to use as default>Click Repair Library Folder. After this, check if you have now the option to move installed folder.
Apparently you have to already have the folder you want to move it to be made default before you can move them in Steam's settings. Once you tell Steam where the other folder is and that you want future games to go there the option becomes available, for some stupid fucking reason.
Hey i dont know if it helps you out now after 2 months but when you are in a Steam family you have to enter your family password first then it will appear
Thank you . This video help me do exactly what i wanted to do for months. now i got tons of free space for games on my D drive that i can use. you made a new subscriber here.
