    One thing I like is after you get the tape set and you then make adjustments, you just re-set the pointer to the top of the pre-set tape.

    I just bought a Tommy Hogg double pin to try out. My first slider sight. I chose it over the Fast Eddie because the gear wheel is enclosed and it’s supposed to be a bit tougher built. It weighs 2 oz more so not terrible.

    The bird sound effects you put in this video are a game changer

      Your comment reminds me.of Brian Reagan joke about bird sounds at a PGA event.

    It Looks interesting. I'm buying my first bow soon. Jemez new Mexico( 6C ) elk next year with any luck. I'm ready to step up my physical and mental game for bow hunting. Rifles at 500+ yards have been successful however I'm told bow hunting is more fulfilling. I'm excited for the new journey .I appreciate your channel , attitude and approach to physical health and hunting. Happy trails from Edgewood New Mexico.

    Hey man I have that sight I threw it on my old bow it's brand new I have a mathews vertex now. I've been wanting to try it it came with the only single purple marker I found a dual purple marker it's a dual pin. I'm just curious how on the whole dial thing. I'm a big elk n deer hunter out here in colorado rough terrain etc. I have a 5 pin spott hogg n absolutely love it. But I wanted to try the single/ dual but just curious on the distances, pros n cons as we all know elk can move and I don't wanna be just guessing if that makes sense I sighted in the 20 on my older diamond but I wanna see it how it does with my new bow shootin 70 pounds with a short draw length. Any feed back would be great. I haven't put any of my sight tapes on yet seems like they can be tricky to get them exact with such little room

    Interesting limb design on your bow there. What is the name and model of it?

    Can you show how you mounted your quiver with the sight? I'm having trouble mounting my existing quiver b/c of the Knob adjustment on the dovetail

    Quick question, I just finished setting up my fast Eddie Xl same pin set up single. Shot 20 perfect group made my way back to 60 same thing all hit nicely . Landed on the sight tape 20 start practicing working my way from 20 again in all the way back. Now I’m no Levi Morgan by all means but i consider myself a decent archer. Not my issue is I’m hitting nice groups all the way up to 70 yards. But at 80 my groupings are all 10-12” low. Could this be a improper sight tape ? Could I have miss read the calibration tape ?
    Some guidance on the mater would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

    So when you first start sighting in do you go all the way up with the slider and then start shooting just so your sure of fletching clearance?

    Great video. I pulled the trigger yesterday and have my first bow coming next week RX1. Figuring out whether multiple pin or single pin is best for a complete newby is my issue. Any advice? Thanks and I enjoy the videos

    I’m having issues adjusting mine left to right. I’m shooting groups far left but the adjustment knob don’t seem to do anything when I use it.

    Does third axis help shooting from a regular stand 10-15 ft up a tree onto flat terrain?? Or unnecessary

    • @ElkShape
      @ElkShape  4 года назад

      My opinion, 3rd axis is important/matters and folks should get it dialed! Minimize opportunity for failure.

    Wondering if you can use a scope or any type of magnification with it?

  • @waynemartin5247
    @waynemartin5247 4 года назад

    Most range finders nowadays have an Archery Mode and computes distance and elevation. So rather than the distance being the hypotenuse, they calculate that your shooting down or uphill to indicate what distance you should shoot at. So a 3rd axis isn’t necessary

    • @ElkShape

      I completely disagree

      Wayne Martin that has absolutely nothing to do with having your third axis set correctly.
