Personally, I have a little theory that ties in with what you're saying about the tribes. I think that the Nathlans actually transmit the power and consciousness of the Archon to each other through a kind of competition where the warrior who wins accedes to the title. Mind you, when I talk about consciousness, it's more like having a "Johnny Silverhand" (réf : cyberpunk 2077) in your head who communicates with you when you need advice than anything else. In fact, from what I've seen in Inazuma, I imagine the current host as a sort of "standard-bearer" warrior advised by Murata's conscience.
When the drip marketing for Neuvillette was revealed, the name Xbalanque was dropped. Highly likely Xbalanque is from Natlan due to the cultural ties of said name.
Considering they were titled “One entombed with the primal fire” (Terms like primal usually associated with the primordial one) It’s highly likely Xbalanque is the Pyro sovereign or at least connected to it.
Xbalanque is actually the name of one of the Mayan Hero Twins, which comes from a myth about 2 twin heroes called Popol Vuh. Xbalanque was the one mentioned and Hunahpu is the other twin. Perhaps the events of Popol Vuh will serve as inspiration for some Natlan lore? Much like Khaenri'ah and the Nibelungenlied/ Wagner's opera Der Ring des Nibelungen. 🤔
I have ALWAYS thought it was so odd we never met anyone from there. Cause fairly early on in the game we met someone from each nation. In Mondsadt we meet someone from Snezhnaya, Inazuma (Scara in unreconciled stars event) Sumeru and Liyue. In Liyue we meet people from Snezhnaya, Inazuma, Mondsadt, Sumeru and Fontaine. So odd we have never met or heard anyone speak about anyone from Natlan or Natlan it self. I hope we learn about it in this next update
It would be cool if Bennett actually has his ancestry from Natlan. His past seems to heavily hint towards Natlan and him being from Natlan would be a nice twist to our preconceived notion that we haven't seen anyone from the nation of Pyro.
Also Diluc and Nilou’s ancestries could totally be twisted to reveal that they both descend from the children of Murata edit: they don’t have to confirm it directly either, but just mentioning again in game that those with fiery red hair are children of murata as a means to just confirm the mangas explanation would be a smart piece of storytelling as they mention they are far and few outside of natlan which would explain Nilou’s and Diluc’s case as their respective families could of been nomads who roamed outside of Natlan in a similar case to Vanessa and their red hair is just a dominant gene or something
I agree, Bennett has white hair and slightly darker skin as seen in Iansan, and I believe he was also found as a baby near Natlan, so I believe this to be the case as well.
I know! I would love to see Benny in Natlan! …Although on account of his bad luck he *might* possibly get blasted by a volcano by the time we meet him there 😅
The not-so-surprising knowledge that Natlan has heavy volcanic activity has been around since the Inazuma update. The owner of the hot springs house says it himself, and even built his business off of it. :D
Additional lore around the public hot spring: Yae once disguised herself as a regular person to have a dip and the owner was later flabbergasted at the amount of pink fur in the drainage
[7:30] The theory that *Natlan* has had multiple Pyro Archons is corroborated by the *Archons/Hypostases pairing theory* which, if it is right, point to the possibility of *upwards of 8 dead Pyro Archons.* According to it, each Archon has an active Hypostasis associated to it and, if the Archon dies and is replaced, said Hypostasis also breaks down and is replaced. There two bases for said theory: *1.* Erosion can be observed on the "older" Hypostases (Anemo, Geo and Electro), associated with "original" Archons (Venti, Zhongli and also Ei, as she ruled together with the deceased Baal), while the "newer" ones (Cryo, Hydro and Pyro) don't show any erosion (The Dendro one shows less erosion than the 3 from "original" Archons, so maybe the "reset" from Rukkhadevata into Nahida has halted it's Hypostasis' deterioration a bit? *Also of note is that the Hydro Hipostasis is the **_only one_** without it's central core shining bright* - dunno why); *2.* The Hypostases' have "codenames" (that can be seen in combat) which follow the Hebrew/Phoenician alphabet, but do skip entries; Said "skips" *mostly¹* make sense if we insert a broken, gone Hypostasis of that name to fill each blank, as the order goes: 1st - Electro - Aleph 2nd - Anemo - Beth 3rd - Geo - Gimel 4th - Cryo - Daleth 5th - Hydro - He _6th - ??? - Waw_ < (either broken or renamed; seemingly Dendro?) 7th - Dendro - Zayin _8th~15th - ??? - (...) < (possibly all broken; maybe all Pyro?)_ 16th - Pyro - Ayin ¹The problems with this ordering part are that we possibly saw Baal's "dead" Electro cube in Inazuma, during a quest (Treasure Hoarders wanted to steal it or something)... and that the Dendro Hypostasis' entry seemingly skips one letter even after the fact that Rukkhadevata didn't really "die" (so maybe the cube just got renamed and reset like her?)... Also, by this order, the current Hydro Archon is still associated with the original Hydro cube? (makes some sense, as this one's core isn't shining and the original archon is _still kinda alive_ as a tree?)... aaand there's also the "fact" that Venti told us only him and Zhongli remain from the original archons - but that was kinda of a lie, as Ei is still alive as the twins were a duo, and Nahida "just" got reset, so yeah)...
But the Pyro Cube is damaged though lol As far as the game tells us, specifically the little bits of research done by the Akademiya, they tend to show up where large amounts of whatever element is present in the area/ley lines It’s unknown if they’re collecting the elements or releasing it, but in my opinion, they seem to be absorbing elemental energy Cryo Cube is in Dragonspine but it did not cause the ice, I believe it’s there to absorb it Electro Cube in just to the east of Dragonspine but what’s in the area? Not electro; it may have all been absorbed, leaving the Cube as eroded as it is Geo Cube is located in Zhongli’s playing ground and we all know what went down over there Just a few examples but I ultimately doubt this theory though since we probly won’t see anymore Cubes, yet we have plenty of new regions with messed up ley lines
@@ratman6754its not strictly german as it seems to be inspired by roman culture etc for it's history. Lot of latin and aspects like gladiator fights etc.
@ratman6754 i mean its literally canon that monstadt's lawrence clan enslaved a tribe of natlan people... it was in the manga and it's part of why people hate Eula. Even though Monstadt hates their own past for that and condemns the actions of the clan, it's possible there could still be resentment from people from natlan since they wouldn't even know how monstadt has changed. There's probably a good reason we haven't seen natlan npcs yet, and I'm betting it's because of distrust (or maybe hyv is just lazy or hasn't fully designed the visual identity of natlan yet) From what i understand, fontaine has not done anything to people from natlan but we might get more lore
@@ratman6754Germany? Since when are they making real life representation of countries? Genshin never claimed to be a geography game, they took Gnostic values and lores and combined it with Folk and cultural facts from the past of the world. This anxiety for representation is so cringey and cultist
A long time ago I thought of a cool concept similar to what you theorized! My idea was that whenever the pyro archon feels its lifespan coming to an end (Or feeling their mind eroding), they would host a huge tournament between the tribes to see who gets the pyro gnosis and becomes next archon. However, at the end when the winner "kills" the pyro archon, they would transfer their consciousness onto the winner, thus "resurrecting" in a new vessel. The traveler could arrive just as this tournament is starting, and be forced to join just to stop Capitano from getting the gnosis. After defeating him we would win, but refuse to take on the gnosis. Maybe the current archon remains, or someone else is chosen... But in the end the fatui would take the gnosis still.
The whole fight for the archons new vessel could totally relate to the cbt beta voiceline where venti mentions that someone named aym (which could potentially be the demon name for the pyro archon) transferred all their power to the traveler and then jokes saying that they need to protect him, maybe the new vessel and transferred consciousness is done as a means to combat against erosion?
I feel like the Pyro Archon will resemble a phoenix, like a God spirit that gets resurrected by the means of a new vessel every time the current vessel dies.
I love Natlan! I'm excited for Fontaine but I'm SO excited for Natlan. I think I'm so hyped based on how much we don't know about the area or the archon. I think from now on esp since we've moved past the middle of the story stuff is gonna get heavy. I'm just so excitedddd
What would be interesting is to make the Natlan/Snezhnaya Arcs about war. Specifically, between the two nations. For example, the Pyro Archon refuses to give his/her gnosis, and the only one who can match them would be another archon (Cryo Archon), which would eventually lead to war between the two nations. However, that would be the entirety of the Snezhnaya Arc. Instead, the Natlan Arc is a Civil War between all the tribes (I'm guessing there will be multiple tribes) as to whether Natlan, as a whole, should go to war with Snezhnaya. Currently, I imagine Natlan to be divided, so a war would be something that can connect the people of Natlan together...
@@davevaibhav1988I’m pretty sure Natlan is Latin America, I’d say the USA is closest to being Fontaine or maybe Khaenria. Natlan, like Latin America, is probably a hot mess due to warring factions and ethnic tensions that are probably exploited by outsider powers for their own benefit m
America has no part in the game at all...people forget this game is made by a chinese company...china has a negative view on america as a whole. there is very little culture to be borrowed from America anyways.
@@Boomdizzle99your first point doesn’t really apply cause the average Chinese hate the Japanese more than the Americans due to atrocities the Japanese committed in WWII but we still have Inazuma. The last point makes more sense though.
So far, there have been a few similarities between herrschers and archons. Wendy/Venti and freedom, Raiden Mei and Ei with their internal conflict and electricity mastery, Focalors and Seele with duality. I think that the pyro archon will resemble Murata Himeko in things like Love, Passion, mentorship, fighting spirit, and sacrifice.
Falcolor also has many similarities to sin mal especially design wise and personality wise Zhongli it definitely a welt with them both being wise old man who has been through the wars and guides the young.
@@rue1533yes but I think the point trying to be made is the internal duality/personality struggle which might be more similar to seele, I’ve played ggz and love honkai and mal doesn’t have a split personality from what I remember
@@OhSnapItzSam i mean physical appearance and general personality Falcolor looks like a blue version of a sin mal outfit in ggz you can look up sin mal outfit ggz and you might find it, even the hair style is almost the same Also nahida and thereasa share general themes like knowledge and learning Both are leaders of a famous school
I love the idea of the pyro archon being replaced so many times Simply because so far up to sumeru the archons have basically been the same since the archon war, created using the same material (irminsal) in the case of Nahida, or a sibling like raiden though raiden might as well be the same as zhongli or venti since she did take her sister's place occasionally in the past during battles Ever since venti told us about allogenes and their purpose I've been looking forward to the idea of a vision wielder being an archon potentially So here's hoping Natlan does that
this may be farfetched but my theory about the people of natlan is that they literally cannot leave natlan, due to either the environment or the dishonor thing you mentioned
I dont think it would be environment related cuz inazuma was literally surrounded by huge storms yet we have seen npcs from inazuma before we got to inazuma.
A theory from my friend is that the Pyro Archon Murata is actually a different version of Himeko from Honkai.. because of the same last name, "Murata" And that Ressurection thing.. kinda fits with how Himeko is shown throughout Honkai.. Died turning into ashes, and a similar version of her appear in a different world.. So i believe the theory of Murata being 1 archon only, that is being ressurected.. Or something along those lines..
I may be odd for saying this but for some reason I feel more hyped about the Pyro nation than the Hydro nation and can't wait to see what their Archon and characters will be like ^_^
Just my speculation, but there is a good chance that Natlan was basically hit by a cataclysm. The nation itself is dead for the most part. The damage was done during the khaenri'ah incident or before. The old pyro archon herself either died fighting in khaenri'ah or survived long enough to die in natlan, making a good chunk of the place inhospitable to live in. Some tribes live in the habitable areas with a couple small towns. The rest is volcanic mountains with rainforent/amazon jungle, ruins of the former natlan civilization, and maybe some of the unified civilization ruins under the mountains. All of that is bordered by desert on east side and water on the west side. Maybe a island chain pokes out the main landmass. the current pyro archon either hasn't been born yet, or is running around in the jungle like a wild child, watching over the tribes of whats left of the nation. Think FGO's quetzalcoatl. She shows up now and again to participate in the cultural rituals that keep the tribes unified (tournament arc maybe). Basically Sumeru 2; pyro boogaloo. Or its something completely different as we have so little on Natlan beyond Vanessa's legacy and interaction with 2 natlan NPCs. Anything else is just speculation based on Mihoyo's game design choices, and themes plus characters from genshin's sister games. And looking at where Mihoyo is taking their inspiration from. A version of Himeko for pyro archon is speculated and that comes with the death, rebirth, and obvious phoenix themes. War and conflict also happens when civilizations break down and is associated with survival, an aspect of nature. I see Hoyo mixing in legends and myths into those themes from the regional cultures they are taking inspiration from.Very likely natlan is where the game gets a lot darker.
I hope they represent a lot of Meso American , African and south east Asian cultures here , and the 4-5 star characters represent their respective tribes and cultures iconically
@@playmobilegamescodm No, China is racist towards blacks. Mihoyo is at best influenced by that culture and to a small degree, if the Chinese user base( which is more or less the primary concern) why to play as black characters, we'd have more of them.
@@vakamablack4324 yes both Indians and Chinese are racist towards blacks. No wonder they are good Neighbors 😁. In India being a black girl means no established man will marry you.
I think natlan having the most past archons by a long shot would make sense since if your nation is all about war then the archons life expectancy wouldn’t be very high
All I know is the Fatui are gonna have to fight a war if they want their pyro gnosis lmao. Will be the hardest one to get, probably why they saved it for last
ie been so excited to discuss natlan! cant wait to see you unpack lore that im very confident is in the description for the talking stick (HIGHLY likely to be from natlan from how it looks like a macuahuitl)
I was reviewing the lesser key of Solomon earlier because of another lore video I watched, came across Phoenix as one of the demon names. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if this ended up at the Pyro Archon’s name and Murata actually keeps being resurrected from ashes, just like a phoenix in mythology. Would go along with the title of the chapter for Natlan.
Natlan's plot will gravitate on slavery and colonialism. The triangular trade (in the atlantic: buying slaves in africa, selling them in americas, and buying commodities to sell in europe). Also, ppl are saying about Natlan doesnt have a capital city, and is divided in tribes. This is more like 16th subsaarian africa than Americas (that have huge central empires like Aztecs and Incas). Anyway, the region will give us both regions, like Sumeru is Both the "arab" desert, and the "hindu/south eastern" jungle. And also, Iansa/Oya is a warrior deity, married to the Orisha of War (Ogum). So it works VERY well with Natlan. Also, subssaarian africa is south of Sahara. So it makes sense Natlan is "isolated" beyond the "ocean of sands". AND, ppl already said that we have to get a boat to go to Natlan. Wich makes more sense than the dangerous travel by land and desert. (and crossing Mare Jivari - a place that we know existis in Natlan).
Actually, you are wrong about there only being some great empires in Mesoamerica, in Mexico alone there were more than 6 big cultures that existed at some point, the mexicas(wrongly called the aztecs) where just one of the last cultures to exits in the territory and are the most known due by their wars and how bloodthirsty they were
There will almost have to be a main city. We need a centralized place where we meet the Adventurers Guild, work on an Alchemists Table, and other important things that usually are found in a main hub for the Region.
Here are my potential expy's from Honkai Impact 3rd that I think the Pyro Archon could be: 1.) Murata Himeko 2.) Agata 3.) Jackal 4.) Carole Pepper Great video by the way Silicon!!!
I have a hot take, what if, what if it's based from HoFS kiana, that would be awsome. But i can see it being impossible, and captains would mald if they don't see a himeko face in this game.
im ok with the blazing heat mechanic showing up, as long as its not the entire zone, i hated exploring dragonspine because of it so i would much rather it be like the zones in Sumeru that you had to revive it was just a short small area of decay. also im really really really hoping that the archon of Pyro is actually unknown/not decided because the Archon in Natlan are always fighting and getting themselves beaten and our character showing up in Natlan would be helping 1 side become the winner of the war.
In one of ventis voice lines he calls the geo archon a brutish, blundering, buffoon but when we meet zhongli, he doesn’t seem like any of those things. Venti also calls the pyro archon a wayward, warmongering, wretch which is why I believe that the pyro archon is actually going to be just a really nice person, who isn’t absolutely obsessed with war and fighting
Natlan about to be the most action pack. Reasons The archon is the god of war Pyro is like a dps element 2 of the strongest humans or most hyped up lore characters are there. Varka and Capitano Childe loves strong people and no doubt natlan has some of them And idk lol
if we do have to step in and save the pyro archon from a challenger, they prolly be pissed and take it as a sign of dishonor. like how dare you impede our battle
I’ve always had this idea of natlan being like a post apocalyptic scene or something resembling nature closely. There are those with visions who form small groups for survival fighting over who is the leader, those without visions either schooling like smaller fish or those who seek protection by vision holders. Then there are vision holders who are the leaders of a small or larger group. And then there are the lone wolfs, they avoid other people and only go by their own strength. Last there are those who lend their strength to the highest bidders. The capital of natlan is basically a glorified coliseum where the most powerful fight eachother in entertainment for the Pyro Archon and to earn the right of living in the honorary part of the capital. The rest of the capital are slums, scattered camps and strongholds where the only rule is: kill or be killed. But its probably to much death and fighting and not interesting enough to make a compelling archon story. So im probably way of with my head canon 😂
Maybe the reason we haven’t met a single character from Natlan could be because of volcanoes. There could be volcanoes blocking off the entrance and exit of Natlan and only some people know how to get across the volcanos. And maybe in Natlan’s story we could meet Natlan’s first playable character that way
A sentence in Neuvillette's description is written by someone named Xbalanque That name sounds Meso American. Who could that be? God! I'm so excited for Natlan
This was a great video. I have always thought there was a reason we have not met anyone from Natlan, so I really like the idea that is is across another ocean west of sumeru or maybe it was heavily destroyed or something like that so people cannot travel easily. And the theme of a phoenix tied to the Pyro Archon makes a ton of sense I love that too! thanks for the video and have fun in Fontaine!
I thought Vanessa and her tribe were all slaves. I'm expecting a lot more intense story, especially considering the 1700s reference for other nations and that time in mesoamerica was very brutal for the natives
@@anniemacleod8264 Yeah I get what your saying, but if I remember right Vanessa mentioned that they were a wandering tribe before they ended up in mond and taken as slaves.
That new intro tho!! 🔥🔥 You know it’s a good day when Sili posts a vid!! 🙏🏼 and actually, there’s an NPC in inazuma that talks a little bit about Nathlan, you might find it interesting! He’s by the bath house, right next to the kimono shop! That’s pretty much the only one tho lol
9:30 Fontaine's quest seems to be something like "the origin of life (primordial sea) is now making people return to nothing", so, Natlan's quest could be the oposite of that, like "the nation of destruction is now giving people a life again"
Huathlpu and Xbalanque is Mayans Mythology, the Twins are fight against the God of Dead. They are also References of Road to El Dorado that simbolize Miguel and Tulio
Hopefully Vanessa gets some mentions in Natlan. Kinda like how Collei and her history with Dottore. That’s kinda different though since she’s still alive, and it played an important part in the overall story. Might be kinda hard to have Vanessa be relevant at all in the current story
In Inazuma (the City) there is a dude standing in front of a building between the police station and the restaurant where ingredients can be bought. This man claims to be from Natlan, and that the hot spring pools there are amazing for a person‘s health. He then gives us a few pyro chards for character ascension. So if this guy is telling the truth, we do know an NPC from Natlan. Edit: Someone raised my awareness to the fact that this guy isn’t from Natlan, he is from Inazuma and only got the inspiration from Natlan, so my bad, I made a mistake.
@@justawallflower7587 oh really? Then I made a mistake, I guess I need to pay him a visit, thank you for making me aware of that, I‘ll correct my message then :)
welcome back sir silicon. Sad we never met any natlan(muratan people) descendant in mondstadt who stay after the fall of aristocrat timeline(i wish we can see them in dornman port) the soundtrack of natlan in teyvat trailer is near sound of carinosa the philippines folk dance. Possible natlan will be combination of south american spanish culture and some old south american culture, african culture and the small vibes of philippines(we are the other south east asian countries have spanish culture) if they add a natlan npc name jose rizal we will be happy
yeah! the Philippines has similar culture to spain bc it was colonized by it. it'd be awesome if they included at least 10-20% of Filipino folklore in the region lol
I think so too! Haha, as a Filipino myself, I imagine the Pyro Archon will be a little similar to Hara Urduja. If you don't know who she is, you can watch the drama series, "Mga lihim ni Urduja" or probably search in google a history about her. I mean, after watching the drama series, I can't unsee the Pyro Archon in Hara Urduja. 😭😂
From what ive seen in game so far, Natlan seems to have a HEAVY theme on poetry (maybe a form of prophecy?) as in the Pyro Gemstones description it reads very cryptic compared to the others (i bring up the gemstone as all of them have lines that their respective archon has said, or atleast the general gist of that) and the travail chapter seemed very poem like to me aswell. Hopefully we get some more Natlan lore before the end of Fontaine lol
Same, and seeing as how sumeru was done wrong I’m fully expecting the characters to be white /pale skinned with maybe 3 tan characters which ppl r gonna say r black😭
Awesome video! I can’t wait for Natlan especially since we know almost nothing about it. I’m interested in the theory about there being a cycle of rites of combat to determine the hosts of each Pyro archon. I also agree with your reason as to why natives may not be allowed to leave Natlan. My own thoughts include those who survived being slaves to Mondstadt’s aristocracy fled back and have passed rules to their ancestors and the newer Pyro archons to never to leave the nation, fearing the same thing could happen again. Perhaps the Archon(s) are enforcing this rule as well by keep their tribes occupied with recurring instances of tension or combat. But that’s just my thoughts.
I wonder if the reason the people of Natlan are divided into many tribes is because each tribe follow/followed one of the pyro archons or one of the Archon’s incarnations. Just a thought
I have a small idea on why we maybe have never met anyone from Natlan. Of course the fact that they maybe stay in their homeland out of tradition, but maybe they are not permitted to leave their nation, like in Inazuma during the Sakoku decree. Maybe there is some kind of seal (very much an idea) or just that anyone that steps foot outside will be killed or something like that.
I noticed that when you level up characters, they sort in a weird order. 1. Geo 2. Anemo 3. Cryo 4. Electro 5. Dendro 6. Hydro 7. Pyro And I have a theory that this order indicates the age of the Archons. And thanks to your theory, the pyro being in the last place makes perfect sense
Im fully expecting her to be not just a good warrior but an amazing healer. A nation skilled in art of war should also be skilled in medicine. Otherwise you'd have no warriors to fight if they die from infection, illness, ect. here. We also don't have an archon that's a healer by the way, its odd. 😮🤔
That would be such a unique way for the pyro archon to be similar case to how nahida is, like how she’s the goddess of wisdom but is a child, but in this case the god of war being a healer, also in baizhu’s story quest there’s some lore on a paper message that reveals Jialiangs family is going to Natlan in search of special herbs and their healing hot springs as they have benefits and might have properties not recorded in medicine books currently in teyvat
I really feel like multiple tribes could be a thing, added to that speculation is succession rites to the archon throne or perhaps the chess piece. to add to the phoenix speculation, it could be that murata could have spilt her self into sections when she died and her essence is passed on to a warriors- her children spread out to each tribe could also be a thing which meant a battle of succession that's happening for hundreds of years. but definitely there is a resurrection related theme in this region, if its true that its based on Mesoamerica from the mythology Xochitlicue is the closest form to murata, Xochitlicue birthed the prince of flowers and the precious feather flower. also we have to look in to the travail that refers to the pyro archon as "she", but the the Agnitus agate gemstone mentioned a "he" in the description. but if 2 potential archon will be released 1 will become a hoax and the other is the real archon, the release could be somehow similar to Neuvillette and Furina, one who seems to have god-like powers too and on par with the real archon could happen.
I'm curious if we'll finally meet someone from Natlan in Fontaine. I really want to know what's up with that place and why we haven't heard anything about it aside from the hotsprings
There is a NPC right at the beginning of Fontaine (Waterfall Harbor) that claims he is in love with someone who lives in Natlan. But all I remember him saying is there are many Tribes in Natlan.
i can imagine quite the opposite. i feel like one of the major rules of how people live and view life in natlan could be "chaos brings creation/change". opposing to the very conservative view of eternity of ei, the pyro archon could see life in death or in this case, war. of course that would be the other extreme of this idea of life, ei being the first one. my point is that after a big fire in the forest, the nutrient rich ash acts as a fertilizer to the new life, the new forest that comes out from under it. it's similar to the concept of the pheonix which you mentioned. there's even native tribes that (used to) live in the jungles of south america that use this knowledge to their benefit. a couple of years after harvesting crops, they would burn the field with its remains and move to the next nearby field, doing this a few times throughout a decade, spinning in a big circle which surrounds the area where they have settled. that way, when those years have passed, the burned remains build a new layer of hummus for new life to spring. as for the political system, since every region has a different one (mondstadt: somewhat of a democracy, i suppose; liyue: capitalism; inazuma: authorotarianism; sumeru: honestly, unsure, would love feedback; fontaine: seems like a monarchy; and snezhnaya: """""communism"""""), it could be one similar to anarchy, as chaos is a big part of the way anarchy works. at least that's my speculation but i admit that i have a bias for the concept of chaos and would generally like to experience it happening in genshin.
Since Venti and Zhongli are the only surviving archons from the original 7 (3 if you include Nahida because of the Irminsul tampering) that would mean Murata may be the previous Pyro archon or possibly the one that took up the mantle :)
As a Brazilian, I like to add about it: Natlan seems to be inspired by Latin America culture, they have influences from all the cultures that makes Latin America…Latin America. Brazil for example is the country with most africans outside Africa. I think they will make Natlan to look like Ixtal from LOL for example, a nation with Tribal theme and aesthetic but its essence it will be Latino America
I don't play Genshin but hearing about a red haired Murata with a flame theme is really familiar to me as a Honkai player, of course thinking about Himeko, Murata Himeko
i can see Natlan being in a Civil war, a war within the tribes, fighting to be the strongest, and the pyro archon despite being the god of war, wanting peace
i think that there is more than 1 dendro archon, cuz in nahida's story quest part 2 the fungi's said that nahida got smaller again so that means nahida wasn't the first branch that got picked and the old ones had been forgotten
African religions (where Iansan's name comes from) are strongly present in Brazil, which only adds more fuel to the the speculation that Natlan is representing multiple cultures found in Latin America
i think the Fatui will use Natlan's hot-headedness against them . But also there will probably be a tournament of some kind , possibly active war zones with special conditions , PvP zones?
2:25 dawn winery also has some guitar themes probably might give us a bit more on the music and where Diluc hails from, sorry if the comment ne useless tho
I thought it was pretty cool to see natlan in the new bp claymore lore. Excited to see how we make our way there through the rest of the story! (Also I pray to the seven above they don't do blazing heat like dragonspine its just a needlessy annoying mechanic and makes it less appealing to spend more time there than you have to and enjoy the place)
Aside from blazing heat, we can also say that there is a boiling water (same with the water around king of iron and fire in Fontaine) are present in Natlan
Hmm, I guess Natlan has different culture and different tribes. So they cannot unified as Natlan Nation. What if Natlan was still fighting to unified the land. Because every tribes has different ideology. And also, Zhongli said Cryo, Anemo, Electro, and Hydro are following like the flow of water means justice and law. But Pyro wasn't include from he's line. Could be Natlan was still active from civil wars? If there is no justice and law, then there would be an anarchy nation. Capitano was also like a commander army. So maybe there would be something about the war. Or conflict from snezhnaya and natlan border.
i would love if you made a short video about dessert lore, specifically the variious kingdoms and city states that formed after gurabad and put them in order, (like tullaytullah, saleg etc.) and about charecters like farmaraz, makhira, xiphos, and how famrarez met the viridecent huntress inthe forest etc. also would be nice to mention that the bloodstained knight was in sumeru forest for a time, with his deaf (or maybe blind) brother, this brother was the one that gave the huntress the hunters path bow
I really hope this is the best region Genshin had to offer. I expect zneznaya to be the caveat theatrical ending we expect so I don’t expect them to mess that up but I am concerned about what they always do before the big finale. And will it deliver.
I forget if this was proven in some way or not but I love the idea of natlan being about resurrection and the pyro archons are more like a title passed down for someone to inherit that in turn becomes the pyro archon, Specifically with Signora taking on the mantle and being brought back as a playable character that way.
Ngl I was really hoping Natlan would be inspired by subsaharan africa. I'm not sure where I got the idea, I was probably just projecting how badly I wanted a video game to represent my own culture and those surrounding me, to have a representation of these cultures projected to the world and have people CARE about and research our history, stories etc. That said, I grew up obsessed with MesoAmerica (not in a cool way, I was the dork ass 10 year old lugging around a big hardcover book full or archeological digs and sociological essays on Aztec and Mayan culture) and I'll probably nerd out to a concerning degree when Natlan is released. It West Africa is part of Natlan culture soup, I wonder if they'd do an off shoot area more inspired but cenro and southern African cultures. I also wonder if they'll represent certain tribes, or make a mix bag of their own. Africa has a truely amazing history that's so easily overlooked in favour of Europe, Asian and even North Africa, I'd take any scraps of representation gladly.
If we are talking the Nation of War, then the most we can expect is a Nation that is the opposite of what we have seen from the 5 Nations so far where it be much more chaotic as it's a nation that revolves around conflict. I say this again but it was a missed opportunity for the Pyro Archon to be a male war god. It screamed a man to man duel between the god of war and the Captain who has ungodly strength. With il Capitano having a piece of action in Natlan, most I could say is a test of strategy, endurance, and strength. It would be like being caught in between the war going on in Inazuma but up that by 5 where it's a nation where elements of Pyro are strong.
My idea plot for Natlan will be the entire theme of resurrection. Meaning we can finally get some revived characters from the past but you get to only choose one. The only downside is I doubt we get to choose who we want to bring back cuz the story may be linear that way. But I have a feeling we will be seeing some characters in old character story quest some time soon in Natlan.
I think we seen something from Natlan actually if you ever seen birds flying up high like falcon's. This could be some sort of clue worth looking into.
Pyro Archon: Scorchems, a Archon who forgot to become human, until a Mechanic Woman who sacurfices herself to save the traveller gives them a new form of passion.. Reigniting their flame, becoming the Mechanic Woman Herself, Gyra.
I think the different tribes could be versions of the different IRL inspiration countries and tribes you mentioned with each tribe having different culture and fighting styles that they think is best. Conflict of culture and sorts could be resolved through duels between the strong warriors. These tribes would most likely be conquered and brought under the rule of the Pyro Archon unlike the other nations who mostly took people under them to protect them I also think the pheonix is correct but the Archon will not lose their memory as from Dainsleif s line it seems she has something important to tell us. And as Dain says that she had her reasons for it and i think the reason will be that she also wishes to declare War on Celestia. I would like to see a match up between the Archon of War and Asmodae as her cubes also seem to be made of Pyro which can be seen in Deshret ruins I'm hoping Natlan would have a Coliseum for events like a fighting festival or such. I think I know how the Fatui plan on taking the Gnosis. They will challenge the Pyro Archon to a duel with Capitano as their warrior which makes sense as he's suppositely one of their strongest and maybe the Rank 1 And from Varka's letter Capitano is probably already there unless Sneznaya is like super far away. Maybe by the time we reach Natlan the Pyro Gnosis would've already been taken or Capitano continuously challenging but keeps losing and keeps challenging her Another really cool scenerio would be a Siege of Natlan but it's unlikely as people still seem to be traveling to Natlan
One gut feeling i have for the pyro nation, is be that Alice took the Pryo archon place and wacky events il happen And some say the archon be Himeko or a look alike , and now whit the notion of the archon revive as a phonix, i can see this scenario
Update: I've seen the new lore from the Preload, guess I will be making another Natlan video soon!
Yay!!!
Himeko is Murata?
When the drip marketing for Neuvillette was revealed, the name Xbalanque was dropped. Highly likely Xbalanque is from Natlan due to the cultural ties of said name.
there's also some natlan lore on the new bp claymore
Considering they were titled “One entombed with the primal fire” (Terms like primal usually associated with the primordial one) It’s highly likely Xbalanque is the Pyro sovereign or at least connected to it.
The name Xabalanque is inspired by Ixabalanque from the maya culture if I remember correctly
@@peachcloudx1672 So maybe there will be stories of resurrection and maybe even a new shades of phanes (the God of death)
In Inazuma there's someone talking of having visited Natlan Hot Springs I believe
@@elveebee3264 OH YES you are right. Other then that tho we know nothing. Yeah theres that bath house in Inazuma.
You have red hair. Are you from Natlan?
@@Rash7 Lol I do not think so.
Jean talks about Vanessa, who is from Natlan, but we don't know that from the dialogue in the game. Check out the manga
It would be cool if Bennett actually has his ancestry from Natlan. His past seems to heavily hint towards Natlan and him being from Natlan would be a nice twist to our preconceived notion that we haven't seen anyone from the nation of Pyro.
Also Diluc and Nilou’s ancestries could totally be twisted to reveal that they both descend from the children of Murata
edit: they don’t have to confirm it directly either, but just mentioning again in game that those with fiery red hair are children of murata as a means to just confirm the mangas explanation would be a smart piece of storytelling as they mention they are far and few outside of natlan which would explain Nilou’s and Diluc’s case as their respective families could of been nomads who roamed outside of Natlan in a similar case to Vanessa and their red hair is just a dominant gene or something
I agree, Bennett has white hair and slightly darker skin as seen in Iansan, and I believe he was also found as a baby near Natlan, so I believe this to be the case as well.

Wasn't he born in Mare Javeri?, He is pure Natlanese then
The not-so-surprising knowledge that Natlan has heavy volcanic activity has been around since the Inazuma update. The owner of the hot springs house says it himself, and even built his business off of it. :D
Additional lore around the public hot spring:
Yae once disguised herself as a regular person to have a dip and the owner was later flabbergasted at the amount of pink fur in the drainage

@@eyn6286 relaaaax lmfao
[7:30] The theory that *Natlan* has had multiple Pyro Archons is corroborated by the *Archons/Hypostases pairing theory* which, if it is right, point to the possibility of *upwards of 8 dead Pyro Archons.* According to it, each Archon has an active Hypostasis associated to it and, if the Archon dies and is replaced, said Hypostasis also breaks down and is replaced.
There two bases for said theory:
*1.* Erosion can be observed on the "older" Hypostases (Anemo, Geo and Electro), associated with "original" Archons (Venti, Zhongli and also Ei, as she ruled together with the deceased Baal), while the "newer" ones (Cryo, Hydro and Pyro) don't show any erosion (The Dendro one shows less erosion than the 3 from "original" Archons, so maybe the "reset" from Rukkhadevata into Nahida has halted it's Hypostasis' deterioration a bit? *Also of note is that the Hydro Hipostasis is the **_only one_** without it's central core shining bright* - dunno why);
*2.* The Hypostases' have "codenames" (that can be seen in combat) which follow the Hebrew/Phoenician alphabet, but do skip entries;
Said "skips" *mostly¹* make sense if we insert a broken, gone Hypostasis of that name to fill each blank, as the order goes:
1st - Electro - Aleph
2nd - Anemo - Beth
3rd - Geo - Gimel
4th - Cryo - Daleth
5th - Hydro - He
_6th - ??? - Waw_ < (either broken or renamed; seemingly Dendro?)
7th - Dendro - Zayin
_8th~15th - ??? - (...) < (possibly all broken; maybe all Pyro?)_
16th - Pyro - Ayin
¹The problems with this ordering part are that we possibly saw Baal's "dead" Electro cube in Inazuma, during a quest (Treasure Hoarders wanted to steal it or something)... and that the Dendro Hypostasis' entry seemingly skips one letter even after the fact that Rukkhadevata didn't really "die" (so maybe the cube just got renamed and reset like her?)... Also, by this order, the current Hydro Archon is still associated with the original Hydro cube? (makes some sense, as this one's core isn't shining and the original archon is _still kinda alive_ as a tree?)... aaand there's also the "fact" that Venti told us only him and Zhongli remain from the original archons - but that was kinda of a lie, as Ei is still alive as the twins were a duo, and Nahida "just" got reset, so yeah)...
this is so intriguing since there is an empty hypostasis floor thing in fontaine
@@brimstned420 maybe it fled with the oceanids... lol
But the Pyro Cube is damaged though lol
As far as the game tells us, specifically the little bits of research done by the Akademiya, they tend to show up where large amounts of whatever element is present in the area/ley lines
It’s unknown if they’re collecting the elements or releasing it, but in my opinion, they seem to be absorbing elemental energy
Cryo Cube is in Dragonspine but it did not cause the ice, I believe it’s there to absorb it
Electro Cube in just to the east of Dragonspine but what’s in the area? Not electro; it may have all been absorbed, leaving the Cube as eroded as it is
Geo Cube is located in Zhongli’s playing ground and we all know what went down over there
Just a few examples but I ultimately doubt this theory though since we probly won’t see anymore Cubes, yet we have plenty of new regions with messed up ley lines
Considering there were tribes enslaved by other nations i doubt they would have a high opinion of other nations, especially monstadt.
Isn’t mondstadt Germany though? You’d assume for them to be more hostile towards Fontaine, since they’re France with a bit of England.
There's probably a good reason we haven't seen natlan npcs yet, and I'm betting it's because of distrust (or maybe hyv is just lazy or hasn't fully designed the visual identity of natlan yet)
From what i understand, fontaine has not done anything to people from natlan but we might get more lore
@@mybeaniebooz9601 ah yeah, that makes sense. I didn’t realize you were talking about the Lawrence clan lol

I love this theory! I want it to be true!
I feel like the Pyro Archon will resemble a phoenix, like a God spirit that gets resurrected by the means of a new vessel every time the current vessel dies.
So the current pyro archon is the resurrected of the first pyro archo
Ok let me say this natlan is USA and sneznaya is Russia 😮😮😮
@@davevaibhav1988I’m pretty sure Natlan is Latin America, I’d say the USA is closest to being Fontaine or maybe Khaenria. Natlan, like Latin America, is probably a hot mess due to warring factions and ethnic tensions that are probably exploited by outsider powers for their own benefit m

I love the idea of the pyro archon being replaced so many times
Simply because so far up to sumeru the archons have basically been the same since the archon war, created using the same material (irminsal) in the case of Nahida, or a sibling like raiden though raiden might as well be the same as zhongli or venti since she did take her sister's place occasionally in the past during battles
Ever since venti told us about allogenes and their purpose I've been looking forward to the idea of a vision wielder being an archon potentially
So here's hoping Natlan does that
this may be farfetched but my theory about the people of natlan is that they literally cannot leave natlan, due to either the environment or the dishonor thing you mentioned
I dont think it would be environment related cuz inazuma was literally surrounded by huge storms yet we have seen npcs from inazuma before we got to inazuma.
@@itsKalinkoyeah but during vision hunt decree, no one was allowed to come in or out from Inazuma.
A theory from my friend is that the Pyro Archon Murata is actually a different version of Himeko from Honkai.. because of the same last name, "Murata"
And that Ressurection thing.. kinda fits with how Himeko is shown throughout Honkai..

So i believe the theory of Murata being 1 archon only, that is being ressurected..
Or something along those lines..
I may be odd for saying this but for some reason I feel more hyped about the Pyro nation than the Hydro nation and can't wait to see what their Archon and characters will be like ^_^
Maybe because we know almost nothing about the nation?

@@readerofalltrades she will most likely be Himeko since hoyoverse loves to make alternate universe counterparts to their beloved honkai characters
Me too. Live fire themed characters the most, which sucks because I still only have the f2p pyro characters.
I cant wait for natlan as i myself am african i hope they take great care of the representation and lore
I hope they represent a lot of Meso American , African and south east Asian cultures here , and the 4-5 star characters represent their respective tribes and cultures iconically

Here are my potential expy's from Honkai Impact 3rd that I think the Pyro Archon could be:
1.) Murata Himeko
2.) Agata
3.) Jackal
4.) Carole Pepper
Great video by the way Silicon!!!
I have a hot take, what if, what if it's based from HoFS kiana, that would be awsome. But i can see it being impossible, and captains would mald if they don't see a himeko face in this game.
It"s more likely Himeko. Kiana seems to has another appearence in the game.
im ok with the blazing heat mechanic showing up, as long as its not the entire zone, i hated exploring dragonspine because of it so i would much rather it be like the zones in Sumeru that you had to revive it was just a short small area of decay.
also im really really really hoping that the archon of Pyro is actually unknown/not decided because the Archon in Natlan are always fighting and getting themselves beaten and our character showing up in Natlan would be helping 1 side become the winner of the war.
Reasons
The archon is the god of war
Pyro is like a dps element
2 of the strongest humans or most hyped up lore characters are there. Varka and Capitano
Childe loves strong people and no doubt natlan has some of them
And idk lol
if we do have to step in and save the pyro archon from a challenger, they prolly be pissed and take it as a sign of dishonor. like how dare you impede our battle
And maybe in Natlan’s story we could meet Natlan’s first playable character that way
A sentence in Neuvillette's description is written by someone named Xbalanque
That name sounds Meso American.

Hopefully Vanessa gets some mentions in Natlan. Kinda like how Collei and her history with Dottore. That’s kinda different though since she’s still alive, and it played an important part in the overall story. Might be kinda hard to have Vanessa be relevant at all in the current story

yeah! the Philippines has similar culture to spain bc it was colonized by it. it'd be awesome if they included at least 10-20% of Filipino folklore in the region lol
She ends up giving her power to the traveler to make their way to the Land of Love
I am Honestly so scared of Hoyoverse colorism i bet the darker skin tone hero will be 1 shade darker than Candace....
If anything: the pyro archon is the title given to the strongest in Natlan. To become the strongest, you must slay the strongest.
1. Geo
2. Anemo
3. Cryo
4. Electro
5. Dendro
6. Hydro
7. Pyro
And I have a theory that this order indicates the age of the Archons.
You mean a 5 star Bennett?
@@roxanamariastoica2534 if talking game mechanics sure why not. 🥳
@@ishdjdjshdudhe Exactly. It would also fit the life and death stuff Mesoamerica has. Much like a teacher or motherly figure. 🥰😌🔥
Her??? Are you sure its female??
Love the new intro
!
Loved the spec, subbed
Nice theory!
As a Brazilian, I like to add about it:
Natlan seems to be inspired by Latin America culture, they have influences from all the cultures that makes Latin America…Latin America. Brazil for example is the country with most africans outside Africa.
I think they will make Natlan to look like Ixtal from LOL for example, a nation with Tribal theme and aesthetic but its essence it will be Latino America
Also, Iansã is pronunced the same eay as Iansan
African is not the original native american.
@@manoharalisa5829He didn't say it was
I want archons to do something like raiden Killing signora
I don't play Genshin but hearing about a red haired Murata with a flame theme is really familiar to me as a Honkai player, of course thinking about Himeko, Murata Himeko
i can see Natlan being in a Civil war, a war within the tribes, fighting to be the strongest, and the pyro archon despite being the god of war, wanting peace
I wanna see speculations of the Cryo archon please
Natlan is gonna be the "Inazuma with steroids"
i think that there is more than 1 dendro archon, cuz in nahida's story quest part 2 the fungi's said that nahida got smaller again so that means nahida wasn't the first branch that got picked and the old ones had been forgotten
my theory about the pyro archon is that she will look a lot like himeko while the cryo archon will be bronya
African religions (where Iansan's name comes from) are strongly present in Brazil, which only adds more fuel to the the speculation that Natlan is representing multiple cultures found in Latin America
imagine capitano becomes the new pyro archon bc thats what the rules of war imply , that who wins will become the new pyro archon
What if a big part of Natlan's population is dead and thats why we havent seen someone from there?
Would be cool to see a duel between capitano and pyro archon
You want Murata de....
Rip Murata in Honaki Umpacto.
Nah bro I want to beat him myself
My most anticipated region .
i think the Fatui will use Natlan's hot-headedness against them . But also there will probably be a tournament of some kind ,
possibly active war zones with special conditions , PvP zones?
Maybe there is succession duels in which any warrior who kills the pyro archons become said archon.
2:25 dawn winery also has some guitar themes probably might give us a bit more on the music and where Diluc hails from, sorry if the comment ne useless tho
Pyro Archon and her Natlan characters will have many dps because their main scale based on Attack power.
I think Hoyoverse will keep Natlan a mystery for us in order to keep the tension and anticipation of discovering the next region.
Africa has a truely amazing history that's so easily overlooked in favour of Europe, Asian and even North Africa, I'd take any scraps of representation gladly.
get this guy working at hoyoverse, this story idea is so fking cool
Any speculation on the Marra Jivari ?? 🤔
Those will come soon! Likely a bit after Fontaine
I hope they drop the natlan song from the old trailer, i wonder if others are already out 🔥
I think we seen something from Natlan actually if you ever seen birds flying up high like falcon's.
These tribes would most likely be conquered and brought under the rule of the Pyro Archon unlike the other nations who mostly took people under them to protect them
I also think the pheonix is correct but the Archon will not lose their memory as from Dainsleif s line it seems she has something important to tell us.
And as Dain says that she had her reasons for it and i think the reason will be that she also wishes to declare War on Celestia.
I would like to see a match up between the Archon of War and Asmodae as her cubes also seem to be made of Pyro which can be seen in Deshret ruins
I'm hoping Natlan would have a Coliseum for events like a fighting festival or such.
I think I know how the Fatui plan on taking the Gnosis.
They will challenge the Pyro Archon to a duel with Capitano as their warrior which makes sense as he's suppositely one of their strongest and maybe the Rank 1
And from Varka's letter Capitano is probably already there unless Sneznaya is like super far away.
Maybe by the time we reach Natlan the Pyro Gnosis would've already been taken or Capitano continuously challenging but keeps losing and keeps challenging her
Another really cool scenerio would be a Siege of Natlan but it's unlikely as people still seem to be traveling to Natlan
im starting to think its a combination of the current or recent IRL nations and combined also with "pre flood" nations.
@@nightmarerex2035 but teyvat has already been flooded
Ooooh new intro, nice :)
One gut feeling i have for the pyro nation, is be that Alice took the Pryo archon place and wacky events il happen
And some say the archon be Himeko or a look alike , and now whit the notion of the archon revive as a phonix, i can see this scenario
pretty cool theories!
There was a leak that natlan has something to do with resurrection and we could see signora back
Oh God, if the pyro achron, I'd a mix of fu hua and himiko I'm gonna lose it. Wallet not ready
For once natlan doesn’t have to be forgotten, unknown , and not known to exit x
The fact that murata is the last name of murata himeko from honkai impact makes me wonder if shes a expy of her like mei and raiden and yae and sakura
Blood for the blood goddess skulls for the skull throne? Throne of skulls? 🤔
