I just got the life application study Bible and WOW! Life changing ❤❤ breaks down EVERY VERSE
Awesome!
I wouldn’t recommend giving a new believer a ESV Bible straight out the gate because they may not understand that particular translation and I would recommend giving a new believer NIV Life Application Study Bible, NLT Illustrated Study Bible NKJV Study Bible, Helpfinder Bible and etc!
thank you, Wendy, for sharing this information most of my bibles are the NIV translation this was a good video for new believers
Excellent. Great video, Wendy. Thank you. God bless you 💙🙏
I love this so much, God bless you!!🌷
I love watching you your so amazing love how you teach about the Bible and are good ones to read and study Thank you so much for sharing this with us AMEN
Love these kind of videos
Another great video. Thank you. Big hugs. Xxx
I’ve been following Jesus for a year and half and I have wayyyy to many bibles 😊 I do have one study Bible tho and use it everyday. The others I grab and go for church or just when leaving the house in general. I feel naked sotospeak without one near. Yeah I have apps on my phone, just not the same.
I hear you about the apps! I have so many bibles and that's why I've been giving them away, lol!
Thanks for sharing God Bless💗💗
Of course!
Every Man's Study Bible is pretty good. I've been reading it all year and I was able to understand it more than the 2020 NASB and NKJV, but you can read it then read these bibles so you can get a clear view of it.
I haven't used English translations for at least 30 years, strictly using the original languages, except for reference to nonsense doctrinal statements by some. That said both the NASB and ESV are SIGNIFICANTLY better than the rest, for accuracy, giving the nod to the ESV.
The ESV study bible seems to be writing in Calvinist theology in their notes, which will lead you to place your assurance of salvation in works and not Gods promise of eternal life. Read with caution.
Come on people over 1.k views and minimal likes. Show your support. And I only found her channel today.
I appreciate the support!
Thank you, I have NLT, NIV, and amplified.. I love them all
Good afternoon 😊
I would suggest nlt new believers bible niv study bible or life application study bible lots of translations
ESV Bible come in Spanish?? Waiting for you answer, thank you. God bless you!!
I found this one: amzn.to/4crhnmp
I bought the Every Man's Bible (NIV) for my husband. He likes it considering he's a KJV reader.
Off topic. I know you have a Cultural Background study bible. Are you familiar with the IVP Bible Background commentaries? I'm curious if it would be worth getting the Cultural Background bible if I already have these commentaries.
esv apparently changed the description for the mark of the beast
Another reason to avoid it.
and same goes for niv, and other translations
Paul, our apostle says in Romans 1:15 KJB
So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
(Then he follows up with the gospel)
Starting with sin as in a court of law and we are found guilty.
Romans 3:21 But now! Paul explains how we receive justification in the eyes of God.
God imputes his righteousness unto us when we believe in Jesus and have faith in his blood. Romans 3:24-26 KJB
Believe as Abraham did, fully persuaded.
Romans 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Consider reading Romans 1-4 KJB for justification, then the rest of Romans is for sanctification (holy living) Death, burial and resurrection is what we remember for sanctification.
5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
King James Bible is God's truth
Not according to the Kjv preface. Only the original documents are 100 % accurate. The KJV is only a translation among many. Not sure why so many people think that KJV is the only one to have, when the current version has been revised so many times. If it was the truth of God's word, meaning it is 100% accurate, then I guess you believe in unicorns and the we should "sin on more". These are two of many errors that are and have been in the KJV.
@@BiblicalTeachingsit’s a lot closer to the truth then ANY of the other versions. Additionally, the preface is being TRUTHFUL while others don’t even bother to mention that it is a translation. It is the best of the best. Remember: Beware of false prophets.
Nice review -- though I would NOT suggest beginners start with study bible, because there is SO MUCH interpretation added to them. I want to FIRST see what I understand from the words in the Bible and not be influenced by a denominational interpretation. In addition, study bibles unless they are BIG and HEAVY tend to have much smaller print, and I favor a minimum of 10 point font. I like to use the King James as a standard, love the MEV even more (Modern English Version) but want to know the difference between the two when a particular verse intrigues me. The MEV used the SAME original manuscripts as the King James (KJV), but there is a much-delayed update that corrects some typos in the first printing that many are waiting for it to come out as currently it is very difficult to get copies with larger print (and nice binding, etc. for those who like to have something printed and bound more nicely). I also love to have a NLT (New Living Translation) for any passages that seem to go over my head or confuse me. I do have a few study bibles, but they tend to state as FACT in commentary which is really THEIR interpretation. And I totally agree that The Message and Passion translations are best left alone (as well as those put out by the Catholics, where a LOT of the words are very, very different). It is good to remember that the Reformation happened back in the 16th century with the activists being scholarly Catholic priests who discovered that the words they were give by the Catholic church most definitely did NOT match the original manuscripts and in fact that church "made its own religion" in many ways very much disobeying Christ Jesus.
I agree that a new believer shouldn't start with a study bible. I think that the NLT or NIV is best to begin with then move on to NKJV or ESV as they mature as Christians and understand the bible better. The first bible that I found and understood was the NIV (I think it was the 1982 or 84 translation). Then I moved on to NKJV, then NASB. Now I have a collection of translations. One of my professors was a translator for NLT, he wasn't happy with the translation (and I can see why) but I still think it's a good version for those who are beginning their reading of the bible. (professor told us that he didn't agree with how some things were translated and left it at that). That's why I tell people to always use at least 3 different translations when doing bible study. Biblehub is a great way to do comparison translation study.
I do have MEV, CSB/HCSB, ESV, NASB, NIV, NKJV, KJV, and a few Catholic bibles. I mainly use NIV and NKJV, with ESV and NASB as comparison study.
Maybe “CSB He Reads Truth”. I have not looked at it but it is out there.
I was gonna say this!
There is an Every Man's bible in the NLT.
King James
@@MaureenAnneCThompson amen!!!!
First read the red letters. If you need the simple translation go for it first. This is a good start if you still have doubts rad the Book of Mormon, (First nations bible) even though most wanna be dominant religions would say no, this is a second record of proof that Jesus was the real Messiah, he did come already, he is the Word truth and light, the only way to salvation and eternal life. The book is true. The Utah LDS church is not.
I would avoid the Passion Translation all together. Do a research on Brian Simmons and you will see why. I do have a copy for research and it's really bad. There is a reason why Gateway removed it from their list of translations.
Agreed. I was going to do an entire video on translations to avoid but didn’t want to get into it in this video.
I love the KJV it is so poetic, but I love the NLT too ❤
Are you a Born Again Christian I am
ESV is a rough read as a new believer. NIV is a bit easier.
It can be, but I wanted to give a word-for-word translation option as well!
The KJV is the only Bible
Tell me more. Why do you believe this?
Because it’s the true word of God . When you read others translation it changes what God said in his word.
Some Omitted Verses from New Age Bibles
Matthew 17:21, 18:11, 23:14
Mark 7:16, 9:44, 9:46, 11:26, 15:28
Luke 9:55b-56, 17:37, 23:17
John 5:4
Acts 8:37, 15:34, 24:7, 28:29
Romans 16:24
1st John 5:7
Revelation 1:11
These are just some of over 200 verses omitted from alternate versions and there are thousands of differences (5,337) between these versions and the King James Translation that literally change the context and meaning of those verses. There are many verses in new age Bibles that even say the exact opposite of the King James Translation. Do you notice how Satan has used his subtlety to take Christ out of the scriptures and pervert the word of God?
2nd Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
Ephesians 4:14-“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”
By Elder Don Watson from CanyonPBC.org:
[On July 22, 1604, King James of England appointed 54 language scholars to translate the Bible into English. Forty-seven met. These men were organized into six companies, two each at Cambridge, Oxford and Westminster. Each group was designated a portion to translate. When completed each portion was sent to each of the other groups. The entire version was finally studied by a group of six to ensure accuracy. It can be seen by this method that each jot and tittle (Matthew 5:18) was carefully gone over at least 14 times.
A jot (iota) is the smallest letter or punctuation in the Greek alphabet, and a tittle (yod) the smallest punctuation in Hebrew (Luke 16:17). Remember how adding the letter “s” would change the entire meaning of Galatians 3:16. Any word not found in the manuscripts, placed to make easier reading, was written in italics. The 1611 translators' use of formal equivalency (direct translation) and not dynamic equivalence (interpretation, not translation) gave no opportunity for private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20-21).]
[From Elder Hulan Bass:
The King James Bible contains 3,568,489 letters; 810,697 words; 31,175 verses; 1,189 chapters. The word "Lord" occurs 8,000 times. The word “and" occurs 46,627 times. Psalms 118:8 is the middle verse. The longest verse is Esther 8:9; the shortest verse is John 11:35; while Ezra 7:21 contains all the letters of the alphabet except J. The 19th chapter of 2d Kings, and the 37th chapter of Isaiah are alike except the numbering of the last verses. The longest name in the Bible is in Isaiah, the 8th chapter. The Chapter Divisions came in 1250 A.D., and the Verse Division in 1551 A.D. Now, these details are measured by 47 scholars from Cambridge, Oxford and Wesminster, and It took 7 years, from 1604 to 1611, as each had to check each other's Translations till they all agreed to the letter.]
It must be noted that all of the scholars that translated the King James Bible directly from the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek languages did not have any doctrinal spin to put into it as this would pervert the word of God. As stated above they translated the original manuscripts directly from the original languages to English. The King James Bible is on a 5th grade reading level and is not hard to read. God at His appointed time, through holy men, inspired His written word over a time period of about 1600 years which was completed almost 2,000 years ago and it ended with this warning:
Revelation 22:18-19, “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
maybe you should take Textual Criticism in seminary and you will know that there are NO missing verses. Read 2nd-4th century Greek manuscripts and you will see . Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts has digitized NT Greek manuscripts.
@@BiblicalTeachingslaughable and clearly a jaded comment.
ALL OPTIONAL GARBAGE
KJV only!!!!!!!
Stop!
Amen! KJV!
if you read the preface to the KJV, even the translators said that their version was not 100% accurate but to the best of their ability. Which is true unless you believe in unicorn and Easter (which is named after a goddess). I celebrate Easter but the true word for πάσχα in Acts 12:4 is Passover and NOT Easter. In Isaiah 34:7 (and a few other places) KJV translates the word 'reem' (Hebrew Strong's 7214) as 'unicorn' instead of 'wild oxen'. So there are translation errors in the KJV. The "modern versions' (as KJVO people call) translate these words correctly. Before yelling KJVO , read the KJV preface and study the original languages. You will see that KJV is NOT perfect. It is a great poetic version but not a version that ALL people should ONLY read. And consider those who do not speak English and have learning disabilities and cannot comprehend the outdated English.
Please stop. The KJV is the first english version, but that does not make it the best version. If you want to read it, fine. However, there plenty of other versions that are more readable, more accurate which means someone will actually read it.
@@donnamiovski1783anything other then a KJV is just a watered down interpretation that has omitted many verses, therefore YOU STOP.
