Kevin, please visit a physical therapist who can provide light exercises to strengthen the affected muscles. Your content is amazing and I wish to see you healthy for a long time. Love to your beautiful family.
The purpose for the dish soap is to make the water wetter. It breaks the surface tension of the water that prevents the water and powder from mixing thoroughly and that causes lumps of powder from getting wet all the way through. That allows the powder and water to mix quicker and better.
I’m a retired stroke nurse from Michigan. I don’t believe a pinched nerve would cause numbness down your entire left side, including your face. It sounds more like a TIA (transient ischemic attack). This is very common with the type of work you were doing…neck gatched back and can cause a particular bad stroke. We saw this a lot in the stroke unit with painters. Something to not ignore. I’m sending this with respect and concern
Don't want to discount your experience and wisdom, but I'm thinking it wasn't a mini-stroke. He mentioned nothing about a drooping face or slurred speech at the time. While he should be monitored closely to verify, obviously, it very much sounds like a pinched nerve. I once got a pinched nerve in my shoulder area that made my entire side numb, including leg and face. No drooping and very reminiscent of his symptoms. We did many tests and monitored me for days. Everything came back normal every time. After spending time with a physical therapist, naprapath, and a few other specialists, they were able to determine that I had pinched a nerve so badly it caused some actual damage that took quite a while to heal properly. The tingling-numbness went away and I got all my motor function back.
I agree. I've had a TIA on my way to work. I do construction as well. I also had a dissected carotid artery a month before the other TIA. The second one had my face drop going but no other signs.
What a beautifully done ruclips.net/user/postUgkxYGamVaHfdHiPlAQaLa7zkwR02OKpGYDU ! The instructions and the photographs are brilliant. It is thorough and genuinely informative. Ryan got another winner! No one does it better!
That build is the best one so far! I'm so sorry you went to the hospital with this one and I'm glad you're doing better. Lena is such a lucky girl to have such a talented Dad that creates little fantasy worlds for her. Thank you Rachael for taking care of Kevin! You're a wonderful woman 😊.
There are temporary strokes which go away when a small blood clot in the brain clears itself out. They can create all kinds of strange and alarming neurological symptoms. My dad lost his ability to speak for a few hours and then became normal again. Hope you’re ok. I think pinched nerve would have been more localized.
Why don't you just get you some raptor truck liner and just cope the whole roof that way, you'll know that the Ruth sealed, and it will look good because you can mix any color you want in it, wrap your Truck bed liner.
I had to change my post! OH MY GOSH!!! That ceiling is AMAZING ❤❤❤❤ You’re the best dad ever! MAGNIFICENT. As someone who has pinched a nerve…..I’d still go the next test. That way you know.
The ceiling looks very cool! Glad you’re feeling better and it wasn’t anything serious! Still looking forward to the stream install, trying to picture where it will be entering the pond. Until next week, take care Kevin.
This project reminds me of why I love this channel show much. It is turning out beyond my expectations. Your daughter's reaction was priceless! I hope you are feeling better and can look back at your hospital visit as just a big nothing burger event. Be well and build.
I'm so glad you're still kicking Kevin!.. and super happy for the little red-haired princess to get her castle... you're the best father, my friend! Much love and respect to you and yours.
Kevin, I'm so sorry about your medical emergency. I hope it was a pinched nerve or something like that from doing all that plastering overhead, and not a stroke. And I hope you are fully recovered and won't have any more trouble like that in the future. The ceiling of your castle building looks fantastic. Very professional looking. Good work!
Hope your feeling better, and nothing else develops latter. The finished job is out standing. I enjoyed just watching the different settings it has. Keven, your definitely a jack of all trades. Your wife and daughter should be proud to have you for a husband and daddy. Thanks for sharing.
Dude, the stuff you make is amazing, been following you since the beginning. But if you never stopped to the point where it's literally sending you to the hospital.....FOR GOD SAKES SLOW DOWN MAN!?! (Lol, watch..... I haven't watched the video yet and it's probably just clickbait thumbnail, something not even serious, and now I look like douchebag 🤣) Regardless, love all your builds. You have an amazingly creative/unique mind good sir!! 👍
I have worked in construction for 30 years, and have nerve damage in my neck and arms and legs ,and I can’t tell you that the vibrations from the grinder for that long would have made my nerves go crazy and I would have suffered numbness and maybe even severe weakness in my limbs. Glad you allowed your body to heal. We want you to be around along time for that beautiful girl.
Kevin, sorry about the jnjury. The ceiling is awesome! Loved the dark with the moon and stars! Your daughter will love and always remember the castle you built her.
That sounds very much like what happened to me, I lost all control of my left side, had all of the symptoms of a stroke but it wore off after an hour or so. I was blue lighted to hospital and had a bunch of tests. Thankfully it wasnt a stroke, I was diagnosed with a Hemiplegic migraine caused by stress (it was just before the birth of my first child so it makes sense) I do have a history of migraines, if you do too it might be worth mentioning to your Dr.
Glad you’re ok Kevin! Oh and btw, I was curious on how long that battery lasted on the angle grinder?? (You never told us, the suspense is killing me!!😂)
Lena is so big! Love her reaction, definitely satisfying! The projection is great, such a nice touch. All that work paid off so well in the reveal. I kept worrying that the dust from the foam or drywall was the cause of the hospital visit. Sucks about the pinched nerve, I’ve had a few of those, none as benign as numbness, mine all involved shooting pain.
Phew, what a story Kevin! Must have been pretty scary, although you tell the story light heartedly. So glad to hear and see you are okay! Hope it'll never occur again! The ceiling looks awesome!
Just a thought Kevin. What is the chemical reaction when the plaster is drying? Is it possible that it off gassed something that affected you? I mean, theres no air flow up at that level while that stuff went off so you breathed it for a while. Personally I hope it WAS just a pinched nerve and not a chemical poisoning.
Fan with fresh air was used during the drying process. I've done heavy muddin' before... The process of the twisting in a circle is foreign to most mudders.
The fact that you almost killed/paralyzed yourself over this build, shows you love your daughter very much. I think your injury deserves a specialist to look into it, its strange the occurrence. Get checked out fully my Canadian friend, you had in your arms the best reason to look into it further. Other than the trip to the hospital, AWESOME JOB!! Love what you're doing ❤
So lucky to have people like yourself. Why? Because I hate to do everything you just did. HATE it. Will NOT do it. I will leave it in framing before I get anywhere close to finishing it if it entails this type of labor. Nope. No thank you.
Sometimes it can be pretty frustrating when the doctors can't really tell what's happening to you. I hope you're feeling well now and don't push yourself too hard in the meanwhile!
Hey Kevin, The ceiling kind of looks like a Cathedral Ceiling. Looks good. Your Profession as a wall/ ceiling finisher shines through when you do any kind of plaster. Happy knowing you're ok Kevin. I get that kind of sensation at times but its from Fibromyalgia when its really kicking me in the ass. Wow, your daughter really has had a growth spurt. She looks about a foot taller and more mature face. It blows my mind how kids grow and change their looks so fast!
you had terrible advice from that ER doctor.... you likely had a TIA, you should definitely get an MRI/A of your brain and neck, you should have your blood pressure controlled, your cholesterol controlled, and started on a blood thinner. I have been an ER doc for 20y, and I would had you stay 100%... there is no one nerve that provides sensation to your face, arm belly and leg.... please, go get seen by a neurologist..
Very Cool! You know, that temu thing. I’ve been getting a zillion emails from them every day for a month already, thought it was just a junk thing but, I like that remote control car it’s pretty cool and for only $20 👍
hope you heal quickly-- next time you do that bubbling looking spray foam you might think about leaving it as is and spraying it like some of those undergroung caves--maybe like kartchner caverns in az--just a thought!! --think all the colors would look cool!!-- i have been there and it is totally amazing!!!
Greetings from the other side of this gem we've FUBAR Nice post guys, Kevin on temu seen this cloud light setup looks cool am thinking of getting cupple for my next life change Also wish ya'd get a older hilux dub cab and kit it out for Chris ta go camping, was thinking of doing this with mine but had ta stop driving so now looking at E bike with trailer 😂 💯👍🤙🖖
Very funny that solar powered street lamp at about 17:12. A motion activated searchlight that's "brighter than the sun"? Wow! It's exactly the sort of crazy thing I'd buy, but you might need to put up guide ropes outside so when it turns on and you get blinded you can follow the ropes back to the house! Kevin is a funny guy.
Can't have plastic straws or grocery bags, but 95% of the goods you buy are wrapped in plastic or plastic containers. The idiotic ideas and way these policy makers think boggles my mind
I hate you had to go to the hospital 🏥 I pray you don’t have any further problems, Be careful. Brother I wouldn’t advertise for them people they’re part of the CCP, no joke. Hope you get well soon from your misfortune from grinding that foam.
As previously mentioned be careful and probably go visit the doc again and just get it checked out again in case. Secondly. Been using Temu for a bit myself now and overall can’t complain about most of the products. Will say though standard drill bits not real good.
I love this little house and the ceiling is wonderful. You could get some chalk paint for a panel in the room for your daughter? just a suggestion. What a wonderful place for her to grow up in xxx Australia. Glad you are ok and rested.
Yep, it ain't home for sure!!! These types of adventures aren't nearly as much fun, at your present age, as they were, say 15 years ago. Plus, as nice as your bus was, your house is even better. Just saying. 😊🎉❤
I wish you would have done a time lapse of all the different settings for the astral projector. It would have made a great ending to this video. And I know some people hate it or have medical issues with flashing lights but I loved it. 🤩
Just started watching the video and saw your using an angle grinder to get the Styrofoam off. Why not use a very long bendable serated blade? I've seen other builders use this technique and it goes alot faster
Hope it was just a pinched nerve... the project seems fun otherwise and the end with your daughter was cute, mine is a bit older but still in the right age range to think something like that was cool and immediate decide to strobe the lights lol. Kids. Keep safe with these builds.
The resting helps the hydrophobic materials in the mud finally absorb moisture so you have a creamy texture instead of dry spots. The dish soap knocks the air bubbles down that you get in hot mud or 90 minute, what ever you want to call it.
I'm glad it was not a stroke Van City Vanlife had a stroke scare as well I hope my Canadian friends take it easy we are not as young as we used to be lol

I work in a rehab setting the fact that it’s one side and also above the waist is concerning! Do not ignore this wise woman’s advice💛
Exactly, over the years I had so many of those!
Fully agree.

That’s beautiful. Nice crafting Kevin. Cute kid bro. Hey, please keep your health in check like these projects huh🐸🍺🔪🔥
Put a thumbtack into the handle of your Mudding trowel on the convex side. Then you can feel if it's right.
Have you looked up the tax breaks and slave labor stuff associated with Temu?
I'm so glad you're still kicking Kevin!.. and super happy for the little red-haired princess to get her castle... you're the best father, my friend! Much love and respect to you and yours.
After the light goes around that...cut. Thin wood or cardboard with star shaped holes to project stars on ceiling
What a great playhouse for your daughter Lena. She has got one special Dad. Love this.❤️ I'm so glad that it all worked out at the hospital.
So glad there was no smell-a-vision on the foam grinding...

It ate through them.. the foam in my eyes made me forget to let everyone know.
Hope all is well its looking good Kevin
Take care of yourself, Kev'. 💪
Absolutely stunning!! Love it! Loved Lena’s reaction. Lucky girl! 😊
Great Job Kevin.. your daughter loves it.. Cheers from Simcoe County !!
This is such a cool build!! Hope you feel better. You deserve 100x the views on these videos. The effort you put in is insane.
That was hardcore but the delight of your daughter hopefully made it worthwhile!

Just the bodies way of telling you your not as young and flexible as you used to be.
I don't think the ceiling is worth pinch your nerve and half your body unusable. Turned out nice but don't need to over do it. Micheal Angelo lol!
Good morning from Northern California, US. I love this channel! You’re a good teacher even if you don’t know it. Lighthearted and a smile maker!

I'm sorry YT will not allow me to type certain things that might save your life.
I have a set of plastic trowels that would have been perfect for that cone shaped ceiling. Very cool structure. All that foam was a nightmare.
Looks like my turkeys head ! Without the color... no wonder he's so angry and wants to whoop basically everyone's butt !
I wish you would have done a time lapse of all the different settings for the astral projector. It would have made a great ending to this video. And I know some people hate it or have medical issues with flashing lights but I loved it. 🤩
The ceiling looks great! Hopefully you’re feeling better now!
Where did you find that projector for the ceiling? Please share... Ive been looking for one forever that works well ~
Just started watching the video and saw your using an angle grinder to get the Styrofoam off. Why not use a very long bendable serated blade? I've seen other builders use this technique and it goes alot faster
Hope you are doing okay. As for Temu.... Made in China. Not if I can buy it from any other country.
Hope it was just a pinched nerve... the project seems fun otherwise and the end with your daughter was cute, mine is a bit older but still in the right age range to think something like that was cool and immediate decide to strobe the lights lol. Kids.

Oh Kevin dooby careful dear one - there's a lotta people who need you ❤❤ The ceiling is awesome- a bit like you 🙂
where did you get the moon projector at my granddaughter would love that.
I cannot recall.
@@ModernSelfReliance Ok Thank you so much .
It could have been the fumes coming off that toxic spray foam, hope you recover well.
Temu is great but be careful. Reports are coming out that they may be accessing, collecting and selling user information to offset the low prices.
Are Canadian coins magnetic? Because US coins aren't (at least they weren't in the past when I lived there).
...you not real Spiderman....
-U-
OTYKEN !
I thought from the thumbnail you had carved the top off and plopped one or your windows on!
Looks ace!

The thing is about temu it is so addictive and you spend more money and keep finding more products then your bill gets bigger. You get me
Styrofoam bad....stuff off-gasses chemicals.
Take care of yourself bro. I also happen to have a 7 yo daughter named Lena. I want to be there for her for a long time to come, as I’m sure you do.
That's interesting that Canada's coins are magnetic. Here in the US our coins are non ferrous metals and not magnetic. 💡
Oil primer wood before compound...
Sheetrock doesn't bleed. Mud does.. but yes if it was just compound you'd need the oil primer.
As a spray foam guy for the past 10 years thay should have done alot better job looks like there gun was dirty and temps not right
Glad your ok Kevin (but not as glad as you are i bet) with your daughter was lovely thank you for sharing .
I'm glad it was not a stroke Van City Vanlife had a stroke scare as well I hope my Canadian friends take it easy we are not as young as we used to be lol
no more Rachel and DON your daughter is the BOMB !!!!
Im relieved there wasn't anything seriously wrong with you.
Why not buy the $20 tyvek suit instead of ruining clothes?
Kevin, you should research Temu to see why they can sell so cheap. I choose not to support them.
PVC/ABS? Your handrail is ABS, not PVC.
Sure glad your doing better. Very Nice Planetarium. 💛
❤ Love her smile. Remind me when I painted my daughters room.
It looks like frosting. You’re making me hungry.
Vaxxed?
Yeah, does sound like a TIA. How was your speech?
@ 23:40 not to be mean but we miss the DON and Rachel but we love you too!!!!
I bet your daughter is going to have a bunch of friends want to do sleep overs
ALWAYS REMENBER IF YOU ARE REMOVING MATERIAL YOU ARE WASTING MATERIAL
Ok Michelangelo. How are you going to top this ceiling art?
A beautiful ceiling for a beautiful girl. Take care of yourself!
What a brutal job that must have been. At least it wasn't the middle of the summer.
@ 28:40 you are sooooo! lucky that you live with a gorgeous nurse Rachel
is Canadian change magnetic? hope you're doing well
Hello from Minnesota USA! Great episode!
