Thank you so much Jeff for this episode, and for all the hard work and time you put into it! I was very curious what this manual looked like and now I know. Even though I already have the basic 2nd edition Pathfinder manuals - I will still buy the remastered edition. Not only to simply have the right release (unrelated to a "certain" corporation that destroyed the freedom of the OGL license, lays off 1,100 employees just before Christmas), but to support the creators of my most favorite tabletop RPG game. Merry Christmas, Jeff, and all the best to all Pathfinder developers and fans.

the Pathfinder 2e mechanics are so good, i wouldnt be surprised if it becomes the model for the d20 sphere, especially for those seeking to "fix" the mechanical issues in 5e

I'd lean more toward grabbing Savage Pathfinder, but my good friend who was the Savage Worlds guy in my circle of gamer friends, passed away a couple weeks back. So, the chances of actually getting it to the table dropped by like 99%. He was also the only Pathfinder person in my friend group. ...Still, the remastered version sounds like a nice improvement.

@@Thegaminggang, Thanks Jeff. Didn't really mean to throw sadness in the mix, but my filter isn't properly installed right now.

Looking forward to your review of the GM Core! That’s the one book I have not bought for P2e and I am gonna wait til the pocket edition is released.

Great art, as always with Paizo. Errata almost on day one is a bummer. But I’m not too steeped in PF2 to really miss out on all that much!

Good to know that the new presentation has made it easier to understand the rules. Thanks, Jeff.

As much as I love Wayne Reynolds art work, that Cover dragon looks absolutely wonky.
I may pick up the revised PF2e in the future. I like a lot of the changes they have made, shuffling things around a bit. Looks good.

The pencil sketch one is better, it has the left claw on a pillar, not sticking out all flat and weird. I agree too, the characters look 'off' compared to the original PF1e and PF1e beginner box.

Love the clarity. Magic looks so good and it's nice to be rid of some of the D&D specific terms.
It does seem to be a great statement of present and future intent from Paizo cementing their own identity.
The PF2 Starter might be a good pick up in the Humble Bundle before saving pennies for the remasters in 2024.

Going Savage Pathfinder and not looking back. Too many conditions to track and the epic / heroic wound and healing system is not to my taste..

Looks like this Bundle doesn't start with the core like the older 2e bundle did. Unless I'm misreading it, the six things in the basic pledge don't include the core, but the beginner box is there. Looks like the full 25 item tier has the core and the advanced player guide, GM guide, etc.
I imagine the turnaround for these books was relatively fast so I'm not surprised there are some weird inconsistencies, hopefully they'll be ironed out eventually. I know it'd be mostly redundant but I kind of hope they have a new Beginner Box some day, I dig those.
I haven't played much grid combat since 4e, wondering if anyone out there has much experience with any PF and if they can say how intricate the strategies can be.

I like the Pathfinder setting as much as Greyhawk and Forgotten Realms but 2e is not enjoyable. I'll use some of their lore and concepts with 1e.

Both D&D and pathfinder are going the WOKE way, and it sucks, there is a lot of much better games you can play

Day 1 errata is cringe, skip

What large fantasy RPG hasn't had day one errata? They all do. Plus a great amount of that PDF is devoted to converting Pathfinder 2E to Remastered. ~ Jeff
