- It’s FINALLY happening - we are officially moving on to Region 2 of our Ultimate Italian Road Trip - TUSCANY! 🇮🇹 Tonight we are on the overnight train from Sicily to Rome, before continuing to Florence. Trenitalia overnight trains offer a few different classes you can book - tonight we are in a Deluxe 2 sleeper cabin and we’re going to show you what it’s like!
The train leaves around 8:30 pm and heads towards Messina where it boards a ferry and then crosses the strait to reach mainland Italy before arriving at its end destination, Rome. We have to take one more train to get from Rome to Florence, but, instead of getting on that train right away, we’re making a pitstop for a few days in Rome to celebrate a very special occasion - Micha’s 30th birthday!

Absolutely loved watching this… it has been my dream to go to Italy 🇮🇹 the birth place of my Nonna…her parents were Calabrian and Sicilian ….and she grew up in Rome and came to live in Australia at the age of 23. It has been lovely to watch your videos, my heart soaring at the thought of being there for real one day and exploring my heritage. Thank you from Australia 🇦🇺 🙏🏽💗

I loved that ferry ride and i first went back to the wrong train 🤦♂️
Hahaha oh no!! …but I guess the important thing is that it didn’t leave you behind! 😂 It’s so cool that you’ve done this trip too😍🇮🇹
It was lovely watching your reaction on a kit😅👌❤ we are planning our trip for sicily and would like to get to rome for few days, how can i book a ticket for this train?
Hahah thank you Margarita! 🤗 We booked our tickets on the Trenitalia website, which we have linked here for you. We hope you have an amazing trip! 🥰🇮🇹 www.trenitalia.com/en.html
Which website you used to book the ticket?
Hi! if you use the Trenitalia app, do you not have to validate your ticket?
What camera do you use? Sorry the link in the bio doesn’t work, love how your vids look!
Thank you! We film everything on our iPhones 😅
Ok what’s the cost savings train versus just flying on average? I heard Ryan air (in the past) had cheap options out of Sicily…❤️❤️❤️☀️☀️☀️🇮🇹🇮🇹
Hi Katerina! The overnight train is about €55 per person for the cheapest option. Ryanair definitely has some cheap flights we've taken in the past to and from Sicily, but after we pay for our luggage it usually comes out to the same price. Of course this can change in the peak seasons, so depending on what your travel dates are, the prices may be quite different. We hope that helps! 🤗
Do they offer handicap accessible rooms?
🇮🇳i like the sink facility in bedroom
I think I am first !
Hahaha thank you, we love it!! 😂🥰
Is that the most spacious sleeping room available?
Hi guys, the train and ferry require Green pass?
Hey Mia, it is not required anymore! 🥰
@@TheGlobalExpats Thank you for the response. Love your videos.
How much did it cost?
Around €160 for the Deluxe 2 sleeper. There are cheaper and more expensive options as well 🤗
Does it have WiFi
Not that we know of, Rose!
Good luck guys. Volterra is the Tuscan capital of culture this year. Just sayin’ 😇
Thank you so much! 🥰 and that's awesome, we just got even more excited to see it! 😍🇮🇹
guy-Hi!you shared professional . talk you later~
Thank you so much! 😊
It is worth getting on this train just for the free slippers
We totally agree, Igor! 🤣
Gosh, at the top, space to put suitcases.... 🙄
