Not really a feat. It was simple enough. He started out simple just likes the cops would have. That Kira is from Japan since the deaths have only been happening in Japan.
That's really not a feat first it gets narrowed to japan due to the killings never happening outside then if you don't announce yourself as the investigator like a prideful idiot you'd notice his first victim was a local criminal on local news mid arrest, letting you focus in on a single region Then you just do literally everything L did like studying his schedule, locking down information about criminals, etc. and you'd arrive at the conclusion that he's a japanese highschooler in the kanto region that is the child of a policeman congrats now you got a suspect pool of a couple 100 people at most Literally any law enforcement agency would've been able to do the legwork to get to this point
Just got up to speed w/ the whole thing and I don't know if I should but I'm actually shосked as earlier when I was watching the video the rather apologetic way he went about "Light regretfully killing a guy who was too aggressive wіth a gіrl" when describing a fuсkіпg гаріst immediately put me off

Good Video, except some things like Ryuk being sense-able by Bruce being totally made up. We have no reason to think Bruce could see or even just slightly notice Ryuk, at all. No evidence or proof.
Even if we don't give Batman all the magic/super tech that exists in the DC Universe which he can use to insta-win, he would still have two major advantages that L doesn't have. 1) L has an ego and likes to showboat. He immidiately announced his presence to Kira which alerted him and caused him to change his game. On the other hand, Batman's whole thing is that he operates from the shadows. By the time Kira finds out that someone is investigating him, it would be too late. 2) L is limited by police jurisdiction. He was almost sure that Light was Kira the moment he met him, but couldn't do anything because he didn't have any hard evidence. But as the Joker in TDK puts it, "Batman has no jurisdiction." He will do everything and anything to get to Kira, as long as it doesn't hurt innocents. L can't authorize illegal searches or investigations, however Batman can. Unlike L, he doesn't need to prove to the police that Light is Kira. He can do it himself, gather all evidence, capture him, and leave him at the police station along with the evidence.
then light becomes a killer himself , and plus police officers/soldiers are killers , you can never stop killing , heck humanity and all life on earth has killed each other from the very beginning

I know you said no outside help, but when you mentioned him meeting light, the first thing that came to my mind was how Tim drake would be the best at helping him solve this case, I can imagine batman sending him as a foreign student in japan to secretly investigate the kira case while batman stays in gotham
This caught me off guard and cracked me up. I bet he would see Light’s intelligence through his testing. “Bump into him” in public, pickpocket the notebook, then check for fingerprints. Also speaking of simple solutions, wouldn’t Batman just break light’s hands instantly if light ever tried anything?
One MAJOR problem that Kira has vs Batman is that Kira has pretty much no way to establish a threat at the beginning. L literally announced himself to Kira face to face, Batman would NEVER do this unless it was already over. Yes, Kira could figure out Batman's birth name if he had time but Kira would not even know Batman was a threat until it would be too late.
Kira seeing Batman as a threat would depend on whether or not Light would support Batman. Personally I don’t think he would, there was never a point where Light in the series was like “Hey you believe in Justice too! I won’t target you”. Even when the Second Kira supported his cause he immediately wanted them dead. Assuming Batman is well known, at least a cult status, then chances are Kira would target him.
@@basilniebla5535 Bear in mind, Light is also a vigilante though. Honestly, I just dont think Batman would be a high priority for Light even if he didnt approve of or like him. Batman takes on criminals like the Joker whose identities are pretty much impossible to find and thus are pretty much impossible to stop by any methods Light has available (and Batman's arrests of some of them may even help uncover their identities for Light to put in the Death Note), so I think he'd likely at least let him be until other, more evil, criminals are gone and dealt with. Basically, if nothing else, leaving Batman be would probably be something Light would see as beneficial to himself, at least for the time being, unless he knew Batman was an immediate threat to himself. If Batman is on his radar at all, Light might check the headlines, keep an eye on if any Batman activity is sighted in Japan, which would likely be the only circumstance Light might know before it's too late that Batman is on his case. But considering that Bruce tries extra hard to remain unseen when operating as Batman outside of Gotham, it's not likely Light will suspect anything until it's already pretty much game over
@@BroadwayRonMexico Though I think you have some points there’s something else that goes against Batman’s favor. If L doesn’t exist in this universe then the Task Force doesn’t exist either, since it was L who formed it for the Kira investigation. Plus L’s media stunt against Kira would not have happened either. So then they wouldn’t know Kira is specifically in the Kanto region, let alone that he actually exists. All this to say, the only knowledge Batman would have on Kira is that a) he is Japanese, based on the first death in Shinjuku and that b) he is a Student, based on the times. Even if the NPA began withholding information that Kira ends up using (which if L’s stunt didn’t happen the NPA wouldn’t have a reason to believe Kira even exists, and probably wouldn’t do that), it wouldn’t immediately make Light a prime suspect. Any Police Officer and their Families in Tokyo could be a suspect.
The one disadvantage that L had was that Light knew that the police and L were after him. He also had access to police files. Batman wouldn't announce his investigation into the open like that. He would silently look for Kira without raising suspicion. That means Kira has to find out first that Batman is after him and he also would have to discover his real identity.
Wait, then why doesn't the Joker go after Batman with that knowledge? The clown has said he doesn't screw with the IRS. Who's writing these comics and can't try and write a non-serious Batman series with the Joker calling him out for tax evasion.

Assuming Batman is as thorough as usual he'd almost certainly find Kira's first kill while constructing the list of victims to determine a connection. Batman always starts with trying to find a connection and homing in on Japan would be easy. I think the biggest "if" is narrowing it down to Kanto only because it was originally just speculation that Kira lived there due to the population. After that everything falls into place much like it did for L. "Alfred, I've been going over the victims of these mysterious criminal murders. The initial victims were all located in Japan, and shortly before the prisoners began suffering fatal heart attacks there was an incident where a gunman held a school hostage and suffered a similar heart attack while the situation was being broadcast Alfred: Well, Master Bruce, it seems even I could deduce that our Kira is a Japanese resident. "Yes, but how does he do it? And where could he be hiding?" Alfred: "All good questions for another time, sir. According to my schedule, you have an engagement to get to." "Time... Schedule. Alfred, that's it. The killings are all occuring in specific windows of time. Late afternoon into early evening. Never during the day." Alfred: Perhaps Kira cannot commit atrocities while stuck in business meetings." "Perhaps. Or maybe he can't do it because he's sitting in a classroom."
I wonder how the Joker would use a Death Note. Maybe he'd use a couple times to kill people in demented and funny ways, but end up bored with it because it is too effective at killing select people and not really a fun toy to play with.
I suspect the Joker would quickly get bored of it. The Death Note can’t kill anyone in impossible ways or ways that aren’t physically possible, so the Joker couldn’t say, kill Commissioner Gordon by gassing him and sending him to the Phantom Zone after spending a year with nothing to last in the Antarctic. It’s a weird example, I know, but Joker is one of those characters who likes to put on a crazy show with his crimes and the Death Note operates within the bounds of reason and logic.
@@JokersPalace3384 I mean, techincally the death note can't do those things because within the universe of the anime those things can't happen, but if the death note finds itself in a universe where said things can and have happened, couldnt it make it work? @@skeletortheskeleton1357 technically yes. The biggest issue regardless of the continuity it finds itself in, it must be physically possible. If Gordon can access the Phantom Zone or a portal to it, then Joker could absolutely cast him there. If Gordon can’t or isn’t aware of it, then no. Also, I think Joker would be the worst super villain to give it to. Jervis Tetch would be nearly unstoppable, if he figures out that he can write “becomes a loyal servant to me until their natural death.” It would be his holy grail.
Honestly, even if Batman as a name worked… Kira might just not even try putting Batman into the book out of assumption. Also I’d love to see a Hellblazer Deathnote crossover.
There is an episode of Batman Beyond where someone is trying to get Bruce to question his mental health by giving him commands to drive him insane and kill himself. At the end, Terry asks, "So, how did you know you weren't going crazy? How did you know it was a trick?" Bruce replies with, "The voice in my head called me 'Bruce.'"

When Batman grabbed the lasso of truth, he said that he's Batman because, and I quote, "I'm Batman." You can't argue with Batman saying that he's Batman because he's Batman.
There's also the fact that Bruce made a seperate dissociative identity of Batman, just in case if he ever lost his memory, got hypnotized, or had to "leave" his Wayne identity behind. Only problem is that this identity became a more insane and far more violent force of vigilante justice, and has no problem killing people. But only after Bruce had already "died"
Paraphrased from Batman Beyond: Terry McGinnes: "What, you're not saying you actually believe in ghosts?" Bruce Wayne: "I've personally seen ghosts, ghouls, spirits, deities, demons, and things no human has the language to name. But this? This feels... _juvenile."_

Here's a scary thought for you: Batman defeats light, he collects the evidence, beats him up, and submits it all to the police. However... Batman considers destroying the Death Note at first, maybe burning it... and them remembers creatures like Darksied and Brainiac exist in the universe. Batman now has the Death Note locked away in a vault in the Bat Cave, and now, theoretically, Batman is the most powerful being in the entire universe.
The problem is Batman still wouldn't bother using it because of the fact he doesn't kill. However... John Constantine would definitely have a ballpark with it, considering that he could care less where he ends up given the fact that he's made so many deals with demons, EVERYONE in Hell wants a piece of his soul. At this point in Constantine's career as a Warlock, what's one more deal with a shinigami?
In other words, L is an actual Detective recognized by Authorities while Batman is a Vigilante like Kira.

Pretty much. He wouldnt even know Batman was looking for him until Batman shows up in his room to beat him up and take the Death Note
(In Light’s point of view Batman is a Criminal Vigilante)
This MO is what would hand him the victory after all, above all else
“Slap Light like he was a filler villain.” that’s my new senior quote XD

Wait, then why doesn't the Joker go after Batman with that knowledge? The clown has said he doesn't screw with the IRS. Who's writing these comics and can't try and write a non-serious Batman series with the Joker calling him out for tax evasion.

@@TheSh1nyZoroark because badman does not evade taxes. It's a stupid stereotype that rich people don't pay taxes, when in reality they pay in one year what this sad worm will in his whole life
Assuming Batman is as thorough as usual he'd almost certainly find Kira's first kill while constructing the list of victims to determine a connection.
The initial victims were all located in Japan, and shortly before the prisoners began suffering fatal heart attacks there was an incident where a gunman held a school hostage and suffered a similar heart attack while the situation was being broadcast

I think joker would want to do that shit with his own hands, not with some pen and paper, you know he's fucked up in the head...
Also Batman wouldn't immediately know it was him so what would be the point.

When Batman grabbed the lasso of truth, he said that he's Batman because, and I quote, "I'm Batman." You can't argue with Batman saying that he's Batman because he's Batman.
It's not only metaphorically and literally true, more importantly, it's _technically_ true.
hmmm yes the Batman here is made of Batman
Wonder woman: Well I've done all I can do.
I think it’s even stated that Batman sees himself as Batman himself and not Bruce Wayne,
There's also the fact that Bruce made a seperate dissociative identity of Batman, just in case if he ever lost his memory, got hypnotized, or had to "leave" his Wayne identity behind.
Only problem is that this identity became a more insane and far more violent force of vigilante justice, and has no problem killing people. But only after Bruce had already "died"

Lol batman answered a riddle the riddler hadn't even finished uttering.
Here's a scary thought for you:
Batman defeats light, he collects the evidence, beats him up, and submits it all to the police.
However... Batman realizes the Death Note is too dangerous an artifact to leave out in the open world, even in the hands of a Government.
Long story short, i would see Batman consulting with either John Constantine or Zatanna about the Death Note, what it can do, and debating whether to use it, destroy it, or lock it away so that NO ONE can use it... no exceptions.
@@MasterJunior93 I think John would have it Already or zattana

Superman vs Light would be interesting too.
@@WadcaWymiaru I disagree
@Władca Wymiaru Honestly would the Death Note even work on Superman? I mean the Death Note was made to kill humans, and Superman ins't human so...
Plus even if it could work on Superman, Light still probably wouldn't be able to kill Superman with the Death Note because Superman isn't Superman's real name. In fact Clark Kent isn't his real name either.
Kal-El is Superman's real name so unless Light figures that out somehow I don't see how Light would be able to kill Superman even if the Death Note could work on Superman.
On the other hand Superman is a pretty smart guy (he is a journalist after all) he should be able to find out Kira's true identity without too much difficulty, and if not he could always get help from Batman and the other Justice League members. Not to mention Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen who are also journalists and therefore would also be able to help Superman solve the Kira case if he needed their help.
Honesty the DC Universe is just too OP for Light/Kira. Light's feats are impressive by the standards of his own Universe, but when you compare to some of the crazy shit that the characters from the DC Universe have been able to pull off over the years you realize that Light is just a big fish in a small pond. Light would be a C level villain at best if he existed in the DC Universe and he would most likely be manipulated by someone like Luthor or Ra's al Ghul and he would just end up being one of their lackeys.

Batman typically goes after criminals who are physically performing a crime.
However, Kira doesn't physically perform any crime. Batman will very likely silently investigate him.
By the time Kira realises Batman is investigating him Batman would literally be behind him.
Using a magical book to kill off thoes who you see as "evil" probably fits under batmans target list.

@@jadeninja9jadeninja9
I think it was important to set up stakes. That IF Kira knew about Batman, and IF he knew the other was after him, it wouldn't take long for him to strike and he would kill Batman even if he didn't have proof of Bruce Wayne being Batman. That this was the only way for Kira to win.
But... Batman would never have allowed that and he wouldn't give Kira the chance to know he was there, until he was literally right behind him. Probably scaring Ryuk in the process XD;

@@FierceDeity35 Batman doesn’t know the cause is a magic book. People would just be dropping and he’d be looking into it quietly.
I believe batman already has one big advantage over L, and that is living in a world filled with supernatural activity. So a man able to kill a person miles away with a book is not outside the realm of possibility with batman, while for L, he had to come to terms with the reality that supernatural killings is indeed possible THEN focus on who is performing said killings
I never thought of that that’s a great point
