@RedTHedge Theoretically yes and that's why toons have different levels of toon force. Like bugs bunnys creator has a different definition of humor than popeyes and as such popeyes toon force is stronger than bugs bunnys as the creator of popeye the sailor man finds more absurdity entertaining than bugs bunnys creator does.
Let's be real here. The fight would boil down to slap stick and involve Goku having to eat 30 billion krabby patties, one from each Spongebob only for him to be sitting contently full while the Spongebobs were happy he enjoyed the meal and that he could out eat Patrick.
Frankly, the fact that his leaf blower could suck up 1.347 x 10^27 KG so quickly is less impressive than Spongebob *casually standing while holding that obscenely heavy weight on his back*
Going to the episode “the string” again, he casually wraps the universe around his shoulder as a coil of strings, and seems to be able to walk around without strain. SpongeBob can hold the entire observable universe on one shoulder with ease
not to mention all that water exploded on top of him and refilled the oceans in 1 second, he came out unscathed, that's enough force to destroy every planet in the solar system and still have some energy to spare
@@ruthiehenshallfan99 Which I feel is accounted for by the Toon Force, or the "running on air, realize what they're doing, only start falling then" kinda logic - Spongebob wasn't thinking hard enough about the weight of the water on his back.

Y'all are thick for taking this seriously. SpongeBob can't actually do any of this, as it's not part of his character; it's not how he's written. He can do funny stuff for jokes - so can anyone in Bikini Bottom - but he doesn't have super powers. He's a normal guy. I like how he wasn't just like "Oh yeah Spongebob would basically wreck Goku because toon force lol" he actually meticulously explained everything Spongebob could do and how Goku could probably counter it before coming to a reasonable conclusion.
Toon force is rarely an argument in power scaling, other than it being pretty lame it oftentimes doesn’t prove anything without the author outright stating the character bypasses all causality as a result of plot armor / toon force / gag trope
2:45 actually here he is pretty strong, notice the bar is bendig, so the toys must weight around 500lbs, he lifted off the ground like nothing, then struggled to shoulder press it, considering the world record for shoulder press is 468lbs, Spongebob is not weak at all
There's actually a fun rarity with how Goku and SpongeBob work that makes me willing to say both 1) these two would definitely be best buddies, not "bloodlusted," and 2) this absolutely would not stop them from fighting.
the moment Goku mentions martial arts and that he wishes to spar with the spongey yellow fiend, the world is doomed. You know Goku is gonna ask SpongeBob to fight at his strongest and force the little demon to unleash his "god mode" gifted to him by OG King Neptune. But if we go by Dragon Ball logic, SpongeBob will have like 5 different forms; each eclipsing the last in some way or completely
@@blackshogun272 idk, Sandy and SpongeBob fight on fairly even footing all the time and the world hasn't been destroyed yet, so SpongeBob is clearly capable of fighting powerful opponents without endangering the planet should he choose. And Goku wouldn't necessarily goad SpongeBob into going all out from the start, it's very normal in Dragon Ball to start out holding back and have each fighter slowly ramp up how hard they're fighting (pulling out progressively higher forms and such), so he'd be fine with SpongeBob gradually amping up alongside him, and if SpongeBob can beat him at less than full power he'd accept it. But they're both capable of destroying the universe so their clash might do so as well, it's tough to say. SpongeBob might even destroy the universe just on a lark.

Edit: (This is for the Brazil dubs I assume. So don't go watching One Piece with the mindset of Sanji actually being SpongeBob 💀)
Spongebob is one of the most self aware and op characters. You know how in-between scenes there is a bubble transition that goes from the bottom of the screen, to the top? Well, Spongebob needed to tell Mr Krabs something very urgent. So, Spongebob literally hopped on the transition wall and ride it up to the Krusty Krab right in front of Mr Krabs. The funniest part, is that Mr Krabs has absolutely zero clue how Spongebob just materialized right in front of him.
That alone makes me hole heartedly believe SpongeBob can beat goku, the dude can teleport, sustain any injury, doesn’t feel pain, can duplicate himself just by cutting himself in half as many times as he likes, can regenerate limbs (using this he can makes an infinite amount of mass, basically creating energy, which is physically impossible), can suck up an entire ocean fine, can make a fire underwater (we know it was SpongeBob making it cause Patrick’s a dumbass) and many more I can’t remember right now
@@blackgoku3868 Not only that mirrors are confimed as other universes in spongebob so those mirror universes may also have mirrors and they have mirrors (infinite mirrors in infinite universes) so that means Spongebob may have been pulling apart infinite universes... SPONGEBOB IS OP

@@halloweentreehouse It was just the universe Anyone could poyentially do this, just SpongeBob is dumb enough, so is Patrick The rest are not SpongeBob is featless
What you said in the beginning is actually really interesting. Spongebob literally has to believe in himself and he can do anything. Also, the numbers of Spongebob is based on the unit rate of five Spongebobs being equal to a human, implying that the human population has more than enough power to beat Goku.
@@deinemam7115 If we sneak up on him in the middle of the night and gang up on him we might have a shot, that or we just give him a super poisonous cocktail, brand it as juice, and gift it to him, it might work.
@Deine Mam Neither does SpongeBob. He isn't like The Mask where his character actually possesses a magical voodoo artifact that truly gives him world bending powers - he can just do stuff for jokes. 99.9% of the time, he's a helpless little sponge.
I honestly think the strings wouldnt matter because goku can make a spirit bomb from 30,000,000,000 spongebobs and their energy is sucked out, he just then destroys the string
The thing is SpongeBob has the power to literally tear the universe as shown in one episode and is a master at karate, he has reality warping abilities and can manipulate time and space to his will with little effort, it would take one SpongeBob to solo the DBZ universe
That's not exactly about SpongeBob The universe works this way Just SpongeBob and Patrick are dumb enough to be able to use it None of them are powerful or anything, just the code of the universe is weird
I think if that kind of crossover were to happen, it would be very similar to the Arale situation. Just Goku and Spongebob running amuck, and having fun testing each other's limits.
Patrick being super smart actually makes sense because of you're so smart that you know about all of these concepts and can counter spongebob in several cases, then you really have no reason to take anything in his world seriously unless it's regarding his friends in actual serious situations. He's just so powerful that he doesn't care
Damn he has shown that he is self aware at some points in the show as well. Lls I remember that one episode where he pulled up with hella bitches in his car to SpongeBob; flexed and drove off. That shit was funny ASF boi. Pat knows what he doing xD
Since the string doesn’t “erase” anything but rather collects the matter into the string itself (like how a shirt string just changes the shape of the shirt itself, not actually removing the shirt), could we say that SpongeBob is able to carry the entire mass of the universe and time with complete ease?
Well, yes, but no? He is carrying time and space, meaning he is outside time and space, so we can actually scale him higher. He could not only carry it all, but resist it's gravity completely
Another scaling feat for spongebob would be that after eating some weird jelly trancends into a higher dimension where his entire verse is viewed as a dream by some guy. And to make things even more crazy, technically it's in the comics in which someone like patchy(or the other pirate from the movie and live humas at the beach) should view as fiction. giving that in the movie, spongebob can interact with those guys, this should make him at least 11th dimensional
@@jocoolshowthe dreamy dreamer in the comics dreams up the entire SpongeBob multiverse (yes there is a multiverse, it’s been confirmed). He’s 11th dimensional or 13th since he is beyond the 9th dimension, which is below Atlantis and one other dimension(I forgot the name)
_“Anybody who’s spent any substantial amount of time trying to analyze theoretical power of cartoon characters is a genius and should be given a Nobel Peace Prize.”_ - Zach Hadel
Highest feats of SpongeBob: 1.Erases the whole universe with a string 2. Entering people's dream 3. Moves so fast he travels through time 4. Absorbing almost 6.57 quintillion metric tons of water 5. Speaking to the narrator of SpongeBob( breaks the fourth wall ) 6. Talks to their own voice actors 7. Can enter and destroy different realms
But here's an interesting proposition, in one episode Patrick was beat up by a non existent force simply because he thought Spongebob was beating him up, despite the fact Spongebob knew he was doing no such thing. Does this mean Patrick's toon force is stronger than Spongebob's, possibly even *because* he's so much dumber than him?
1 month late but he was also shown running into the sun in under a minute and just had his trunks on fire. Underwater. Patrick is just a different kind of monster
u guys are forgetting the fact that spongebobs greatest feat, the multiversal string feat, was tanked by patrick and only patrick. patrick then proceeded to lowdiff spongebob and floss his teeth with spongebob and the multiversal string just to show it was that easy to do patrick lowdiffs fiction
@@randomguy6152 Man's really just took the whole universe (including his best friend) and used it as a floss. Damn, Patrick, you cold-blooded bastard 😂
I actually love the concept of having an in character battle rather than bloodlusted of a bunch of spongebobs and goku, it would be very entertaining and interesting
Spongebob started fire under water, got ripped in half and literally shrugged it off, beat up Patrick Star with only a few glances, beat down Davey Jones' mental toughness in mere moments, is a karate master, and has more positive and pure hearted energy than Goku could ever dream of. His feats are literally unrivaled throughout the entirety of anime and I don't think the entire multiverse could take on 30 billion Spongebobs.
That's would be funny scenario Imagine 30 billion Goku struggle to jumping SpongeBob and he just accept the beating while pretending to get hurt Until all of Gokus exhausted then SpongeBob one hit them where all of them down one by one like a domino
The thing is though, in the medieval episode, iirc the whole episode was just a bad dream as a result of a concussion that SpongeBob and Patrick had upon impact. However, the joint nature of the dream does imply that there are intricate powers binding the two of them
Being from Brazil this discussion is even funnier to watch because both Goku and SpongeBob are voiced by the same person, Wendel Bezerra. He also voices Jackie Chan from the cartoon, Metabee, and I think Lee Sin in League of Legends. It's one of our most recognizable voice actors
I think this was brought about from death battle between spongebob and aquaman recently and they found that sponegbob is faster then any character they have ever had on that show.
I like the creativity behind thinking that spongebob could use multiple gag-events together in a way that goes outside the original scope of the aforementioned gags. Kinda laughed at the mention of Goku needing air, given how often characters need water to breathe in spongebob as a plot-point. Same with using the cartoon physics to justify hand-waving all flaws in his skillset, sheltered behind the phrase "reason for fluctuating power." Good video obvi, since obviously there is no "right" answer.
I think Goku starting off as gag character was my favorite brought on this video. Fighting Spongebob would be a challenge to him, but not new territory.
I have never seen a Goku before but it’s funny seeing “Goku did this big fight with Mr. Evil and was faster than instantanious somehow. Meanwhile, Spongebob is a sponge and Patrick is a sea star. It’s a very tough match right now, trust me on this champ.”
I like how he uses physics and math to find out the answer but then at the end he just throws all that away and said SpongeBob will win with a karate chop
SKIP TO END IF YOU CANT BE BOTHERED READING THIS Well if SpongeBob can absorb the entire ocean in a few seconds it’s safe to assume he can release it in the same time (and also fire it in a beam at you). SpongeBob absorbs the ocean in 1.5 seconds, the distance from which he would have to absorb it ranges from right next to him (0km) to on the other side of the planet (20,037.5km) so we’ll just take the average (10,018.75km). Using the Speed = Distance / Time formula we can calculate that the speed at which SpongeBob absorbs (and therefore releases) the entire ocean is 6679.166…km/s, or 6679166.66…m/s. Then by using the kinetic energy formula (1/2mv^2) we find that the energy that you would get if you stood in front of this ocean blast is (1.4 sextillion / 2) x (6679166^2) = 3.1227881 x 10^31J or 31227881000000000000000000000000 joules. That’s like 150 trillion hydrogen bombs (Tsar Bomba’s) Its still around 10x less that what would be required to destroy the planet but it’s still close. Keep in mind this isn’t taking the water pressure into account, concentrating the entire ocean into a beam would have a ridiculously high pressure. Now if that didn’t kill Goku it would definitely send him absolutely flying. I could be absolutely wrong about this so if you have the patience to check what I wrote feel free. MORAL OF THE STORY: SPONGEBOB RELEASING THE OCEAN HAS THE POWER OF 150 TRILLION NUCLEAR BOMBS
The only canonical factor that does not let SpongeBob be an Invincible character is that he dies if he becomes very dehydrated or if he is under the effect of an object that generates heat he starts to dehydrate until he "disappears".
What's Ki made of actually? I always assumed it would be hot or something, but not this has got me thinking. It could be like a blunt force? Do we know?
@@day7163 Ki is basically the life force that flows through everything in the universe. We can say that it is the purest energy. Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama has already explained that Ki is not just strength, but is made up of various things such as courage and intellect. Energy is only one-third of the formula.

Toon force is rarely an argument in power scaling, other than it being pretty lame it oftentimes doesn’t prove anything without the author outright stating the character bypasses all causality as a result of plot armor / toon force / gag trope

the moment Goku mentions martial arts and that he wishes to spar with the spongey yellow fiend, the world is doomed. You know Goku is gonna ask SpongeBob to fight at his strongest and force the little demon to unleash his "god mode" gifted to him by OG King Neptune. Well if SpongeBob can absorb the entire ocean in a few seconds it’s safe to assume he can release it in the same time (and also fire it in a beam at you).
