More importantly, what is the NAACP going to do about the actual story that was being discussed? The fact that black homeowner homes are being under-appraised? This has a direct impact to generational wealth in the black community. Why hasn't the NAACP addressed this matter instead of focusing on the use of the word “coloured”?

@@txzbelle75 Again, a story broke in the news about specific incidents that appear to be systemic that targets black homeowners. Why wouldn't the NAACP focus their efforts on supporting those homeowners in that particular district to ensure they are not taken advantage of? I'm not saying the NAACP doesn't have programs. I'm saying that in this case, they chose to focus on low hanging fruit instead of addressing the real issue impacting black people. ❤

I agree with you, 'colored' should have been dropped years ago. The CIAA which is the oldest HBCU athletic conference dropped colored from it's name decades ago. It's now called the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association, -they changed Colored for Central. They should look for a way to keep the 'C'. They could actually change one or all of the words to created a phrase that uses the acronym every one knows.
