Fantastic footage! Shay 4 actually might be well-suited for the Greenbrier line train since she's Cass' lightest Shay (she's only 70 tons, which means she's normally either a support engine, a backup, or the Whittaker train on light days). On a different note, what happened to Heisler 6? I know she ran the Durbin Rocket in recent years, but it looked like she was under a tarp in storage near the shop.
Thanks! Shay 4 does suit the Greenbrier Express pretty well! Heisler 6 was pulled by Shay 5 from Durbin to Cass in February now she is awaiting some boiler work.
@@cassscenicproductions8888 Huh, interesting. I presume it's going to wait until the overhaul of Western Maryland Shay 6 is completed? Cass has a really busy work schedule considering they at some point also wanted to get Buffalo Creek 4 (the "mainline engine") restored.
I rode with number two about 40 years ago more or less. Its good to see her running well today.
Lol the whistle at the end of the video 😂😂😂
Yup, they love doing that!
Nice Video Man! 👍👍👍 Another Awesome video of the old Shay Locos, passing thru the Mountains! Keep Up the Good Work Man!
Thank you very much!
Very nice video. Has anyone done a POV video ride on any of the trips that are offered by CASS? Can't seem to find any.
Thanks! I think there are several vlog style videos out there of Cass rides, but I haven't really seen any POV videos.
Glad it was sunny for you it rained all day on the first run of the Greenbrier express but it was still a great time
Yeah, I saw it rained for yall. Still was a good time though! Thanks for watching!
@@cassscenicproductions8888 Always enjoy your videos thanks for posting them
@@donaldfaris4798 Your welcome! Next Cass video will be in June.

@@thunderbird1921 They will start work on the Heisler after they finish Big 6.
How did you get a ride in the cab? Is that a special ticket they offer?
There is no special offer I'm just friends with the crew and they let me ride down with them.
