I loved Michael Landon. Unlike most of Hollywood, it seems everything Michael was involved in was wholesome, family entertainment, and it was all quality work. Thank you to Michael and his family and friends for the support given him to continue quality work. Michael truly was an Angel to the world and to me and many I know, will always be remembered as such. He was handsome, funny, caring, kind, a humanitarian, a good husband and father as far as I hear. I know he is with the Lord. All he had, he gave back in his work. I pray for his family, friends, co-workers, and all who knew and loved him. God bless you Michael Landon and God bless all who supported him in his decisions and the works he got himself involved in. Thank you for a lifetime of great home, wholesome, entertainment that we could all sit with our families and enjoy, knowing there would be nothing embarrassing or to worry if it would be a bad influence on us our children or friends. I look forward to seeing you again in heaven, and thanking you for being the man you truly were, are and will always be.

Hello! He actually wrote that for one of his Little House episodes. A woman knew she was dying and she had 3 young children. The minister read this at her funeral. Then when Michael died, his daughter read it at his service. He was on TV for 3p years. Many of us grew up with him. If you watched the biography you saw how he started as just a young actor and eventually became a writer, director and producer of great FAMILY entertainment - the likes of which we don't really see anymore. Mike Jr. is a pale imitation of his Father but from what I understand his shows are similar in content and he is a good family man. All of the values that his father taught him are evident. Despite what some haters says - he was- according to ALL of his children a kind and loving father and a good man. 😊💕

I feel truly blessed as I watched this. I too have been battling some dangerous medical problems for the last 8 years. Each one really testing my faith, fortitude, and gratitude for life, God, friends, family and strangers who I have encountered and interacted with across the years. Having reached the age 54 Michael Landon immediately came to mind as I outlasted some of my childhood favourites such as Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees and actor John Ritter both of whom died in sudden tragic fashion. Patrick Swayze as well. Knowing I could have left as well, but am still standing in spite of challenges is extremely humbling. As I now deal with the overwhelming family issues during my renaissance I'm doing my best to stay positive and continue smiling. This Easter is particularly special and church shall be uplifting. This is the legacy of Michael Landon- my TV Dad from childhood to adulthood has left made me the man I am today and has given me Highway To Heaven!!

How could the media be so heartless? I just lost my father who is in no way as Michael was but what ever little he left I want none of it, and will fight for nothing, how people do that is beyond me but then my father had nothing. I would never draw my father through the dirt for all the mistakes he made. Mike was in no way Perfect he was human. And that made him appealing to me, I'm so saddened by the lost of Mike, I remember crying so much when he died. It appears to me that not just Mike jr. Is set on ruining Mike's good name at least he had a reason thank God he recanted. My desired wish is that after thirty years we could all just leave this 85 year old man alone, we can't destroy him any more than he is destroyed, he's dead!!!! It's however so refreshing amidst things today to hear those who knew him and worked with him speak so lovingly about him warms my heart. Rest sweet Michael those who love you will continue to do so forever. ❤❤❤

People should stop reading the tabloids as they are an absolute disgrace and have no conscience. Michael was one of my favourite actors and a very clever man as he knew what the public really liked. Highway to Heaven, always had me reaching for the tissues but the film I really loved was The Loneliest Runner, as I too, used to wet the bed all the time and my mum and my nan would get upset with me. From a fan's point of view, I thought Michael was handsome, warm, intelligent and funny and I felt very sad when he died. I don't ever recall hearing Mr Landon say he was the perfect human being, and that is why I think his son was very disrespectful to try and put his father in a bad light. For me, Michael Landon will always remain one of my favourties. Thanks for sharing, much appreciated

Has anyone noticed how much Cindy looked like a younger Lynn ? I noticed it when they first got together. I loved Michael Landon and everything he stood for but I felt sorry for his wife and family, the one's he left behind 😥 Even though they were still in his life, they weren't the family they used to be. It had to hurt them deeply.. To see him leave them and start another family with a younger version of their mother. Divorce hurts and yes, it's like death...the pain never goes away. I think the reason Michael did such decent shows was because in his heart he was somehow trying to make amends for what he'd done. It takes a strong man or woman to resist temptation but it can be done. But life has no rewind button, what's done is done.. You.move on and I'm sure Cindy did. I love you Michael and to me you'll always be Little Joe. You pd. for the pain you caused your family and you've been at peace for years now. God rest your sweet soul.

This is an interesting comment. I don't see the likeness at all but that doesn't mean it's not there. To me Lynne was the classic tall model type with very striking features. Cindy was sweet with a soft beauty. In any event - I too hurt for his wife especially although I know nothing of what went on inside their marriage - as Leslie stated even the kids didn't know. I do not believe he left his wife just because he wanted a younger woman. Mid life we sometimes re-assess where we are and what we need to make us happy. He was really a blue collar, white sneaker. guy and Lynne was a high class runway model type. I think that's what he came to realize at this time. According to Cheryl's book he agonized over it. In the end he did what he felt he needed. And he really made every effort to keep his family together. Life is hard. His children are happy and a loving family- all successful. His greatest legacy. 😊💕

@@sueannbellucci4304 If you'll look closely , you'll see the resemblance. I don't care how tall Lynne was. Cindy was a younger version pure and simple. Look again. All of those young and sweet gals are triple sweet to an older married guy. Mike being married and rich made it oh so much sweeter . Yes, alot of men and women at some point in their life( most call it a midlife crisis)do it. Here comes a sweet young thing swinging their asses and knowing more than most wives do..or a younger guy comes along with the right words to say ( to make them feel they hung the moon for them)Anyone can have an opinion and this is mine..Did that 18 yr old keep him younger..No. Did she keep him living No. Was all of that hurt for nothing , or was it ? 🙂 I'm glad his family are doing well but to honestly and truthfully get over this pain, it doesn't happen. I'm not judging and I loved Michael but it all came full circle at the ending . He was like most men..He couldn't resist temptation. I still pray for them all. A family torn apart and the world but more importantly God , knew the reason why.. God rest his soul and God bless them all ..his children. Blessings to you too

@@sueannbellucci4304 I agree, cancer can strike anyone. It's a sad disease. I guess one has to live through a broken family due to another. A game of triangles is a sad game too. I lived it myself. Even though I love my step mom. My mama was my heart and when she hurt, us kids hurt too. Especially me. My daddy had alot of regrets as I'm sure most do. I have a half brother and step brother I love also. My mama was deaf since childhood but had a heart as big as this world. It was my younger sister, oldest brother and me, who listened to our mama's cries every night for yrs. She finally dusted herself off and went on. A woman of God she was and she got her strength from him. I'm sure in every situation like this, many tears are shed ( even though they won't admit it) People often think that the grass is greener on the other side, Then they find out it isn't. One thing is certain, what you sow, so shall you reap. I stand by my words that adultery is wrong and I too loved Michael and to me he'll forever be Little Joe. @@janetbrowntlc - I agree to disagree but I don't think zI disagree that much with what you are saying. I do take exception to the way you phrased his romantic involvement with Cindy. "Jumping in her pants" is crude. Michael Landon doesn't deserve that. That description is usually descriptive of people who just want to have sex. That was not his reason for ending his 18 year marriage. Right or wrong. Adulterer though he be - it was all about happiness and love.
And while I did hurt for Lynne - truly - I can't imagine loving this beautiful man for so many years and then losing him - 😥- but remember, she was married when she met him. She made her husband very unhappy when she left him. Life is complicated.
Love hurts 😞 But it also heals and like you said - we go on. 😊💕

I wonder how many kids all over the world, that watched the little house on the prairie and learned something good…something good they have used as a guide at some point in their own life, i know i have. I wish the kids in school today had to look at that old tv-serie, i think it would make the world a little better place. I live in Sweden and they still send it over here.

Private night (Union night) so it was pretty empty, I was lucky enuf to get to see Michael and Cindy in 1981 at Disneyland in line for Space Mountain! Same night we saw MJ walking around all by himself. And no one bothered him. It was just before Billy Jean came out & that shot him to SuperStardom even tho he was well known.

I Loved Michael Landon's TV shows, but never liked the fact he left Lynn for Cindy, who was 22 years younger then him.. I felt so Sorry for Lynn, I do not think she ever got over it, like it says in the video, the day Michael and her divorced was the day of his death for her.. she took it really hard him leaving her for Cindy.. which any woman would.. But I know Michael Left Dodie for Lynn so in a sense Lynn got done to her what was done to Dodie, I remember a movie I watched that was about when Michael left her, and Lynn went to Dodie's house and apologized to her.. But it was still Sad to me, they were married for 19 years.

That's between him and his God now. His children very much wanted him to believe; they were afraid for him . It was a bone of contention in the last months of his life. They finally accepted that his belief in God did not require him to believe as they did. And they were at Peace with that. 😊💖
