Michael Landon, Mr. Rogers, and others who touched the lives of those of us who were lucky enough to have them in our home each week are and will always be missed. It was the absolute end of good, clean, wholesome family entertainment for all Americans. It does not take much to see how degenerate our Society and entitled our kids have become under the garbage they have been forced to watch for so called entertainment. We as parents have the choice to turn the garbage off and bring out the DVDs and Video Tapes of these wonderful old shows and hopefully the goodness, love of God and family and neighbors will be instilled in our children.
@Chris Allen - YES! I have always compared ML to Mr. Rogers. Mr. Rogers has a postal stamp and they made a movie about him. ML deserves the same. Wishin' and hopin' that he will get the stamp at least. I have nominated him twice to the. Committee. 🤞😊
So true. It's so sad that kids today don't know what a really good show is. The kind only Michael Landon could produce. And boy do we love Mr. Rogers! 👍
Love Michael Landon, funny seeing the show Hullabaloo!! My sister and I use to go to a neighbor's house n watch it because our parents didn't want us watching that stuff!! Man, how times have changed!!
I will always love with Landon for bringing something wholesome and wonderful into the lives of millions! He definitely kept his promise with God! And I despise those that bring up personal issues from his life. Those issues should remain just that - *personal!* There's not a person on earth that hasn't had personal problems and skeletons in their closets!
I read his book he share how his Mom hang out his dirty sheets he wet his bed till he was a teen, he does a show about that, sharing that story. It so profound, giving so much opportunity to those kids wanting to be actors. He was so good with kids
Michael found out on Bonanza that the majority (at that time) of viewers were religious and liked the storylines that followed that. So, his storylines reflected that and laughter which made his shows a hit. People thought he was religious, his life proved otherwise but he did know how to use religion to make money. @Beth Davis- He made no pretense about his faith. He was born Jewish but played a Christian in all of his shows. So? He was a great believer in the family and hard work and honesty and treating people with respect. That's why everyone who worked for him loved him. I am constantly reading comments by people whose parents worked for him or people who met him somehow and they all say the same thing . He was a kind and gentle man who treated them all the same. He never considered himself better than anybody from the lowliest worker on the set to the biggest stars. His children adored him and despite his divorces he kept his family together. And they were all present when he passed. I wonder why? So, it seems to me he was very much like all of his characters except - he was human. Yeah, he wasn't really an angel.
@@sueannbellucci4304 Honesty? Really, during each marriage he started an affair long before he decided to leave/divorce his present wife. Oh yeah he was honest as to where he was and what he was doing while he was with the next wife to be. As I said he was the on screen angel and the off screen liar to his wife and kids. Two different people.
I'm a big fan of Michael Landon. I've been watching a lot of shows regarding him throughout his life, and in memoriam. He was committed to leaving a positive legacy as shown in the tv programs he was heavily vested in. @Isabella Valencia- He married his 1st wife when he was 19 because he had formed a strong attachment to Dodie's son, Mark - who he eventually adopted. As for Lynne, who met Michael while she was married - I don't know what happened there. Nor do you. He clearly was in love with her and they had 18 wonderful years and 4 beautiful children. I'm not in a position to judge the man because I don't know why the marriage fell apart. You assume he fell in love with a younger woman and broke up a perfect marriage for her but I don't know that to be true. And the rest of his life and the way he lived it would suggest that was not the case. Regardless - he never claimed to be a REAL angel. And I don't think anyone of us will be judged, by HE who really matters - based on just one aspect of our lives. Michael Landon was a good man - not perfect enough for you? That's your problem..
@Isabella Valencia - You mean he wouldn't HAVE left her. There is no such expression as "would OF" or "could OF" . What you are thinking of is the verbal expression "could've " which is an elision of could and have. It's a common mistake among the uneducated.

Just a share: He was of course a 'victim' of ABUSE, else, WHY would he spend his God, given, gift of life, living in a PRETENDING-BOLLY-WORLD of DRUGS???
Michael Landon drank too much for sure - as it wS a stressful business and Yes!- he had issues from his childhood but - he wS never part of the drug culture or any of the Hollywood nonsense. He was very much all about work and his family. Definitely not part of the Hollywood scene in that respect.
@Judith Ryle - he clearly loved her for many years. Who knows what happened to change that. It's hard to believe he would have left her just because he met a younger woman. He met young, beautiful women all the time. Something was brewing at home.
I disagree. Charles loved both his daughters the same. He just seemed to spend more time with Laura because they had more in common. Laura was feisty, tomboyish, strong willed and mischievous like he was when he was young. Mary is the ultra feminine one with the quieter introspective and more well behaved personality like her mother.
@Isabella Valencia-😔 Your point? People made an honest effort to educate people and stop the use of drugs. Should they not have tried? Are THEY at fault, or the people who continue taking the drugs?! How sad to only view the underside of things. Do you ever see a sunny day Isabelle, or is your life spent looking at the clouds and thinking it's going to rain soon.?
@Isabella Valencia - what does it have to do with Michael. He just tried to help. He was a big Reagan fan. I was not btw but why do you make it sound as though it's a black mark against him? He was involved in trying to make it work. Duh? And btw- I am well aware of what it was. I lived through those days. Not a Reagan fan, but there was nothing wrong with the idea. It just didn't work.
@@sueannbellucci4304 The just say no campaign was a huge failure....educate yourself a little.
Nor has anything g worked si ce then either!
@@sueannbellucci4304 You have just exposed yourself as very ignorant in the matter of the colossal failure that was called just say no campaign. Again I hope you educate yourself so you avoid looking like a fool....oops too late.🤡
