Are these as good as they say they are? Are they as easy to install as people make it seem? You will find out in today's video. We installed a set of Sumo Springs on our TT after flattening a set of springs on one trip through Colorado. In addition to the crappy condition of I-70 through Denver, our TT loaded weight is very close to the spring limit so we flattened our springs. So after replacing said springs, I installed the Sumos and they really did help both the ride and I believe they provide some protection to the springs since they reduce flex somewhat. So far we've been very happy with them. One other thing, I am now a firm believer in keeping the springs lubricated so the leaves slide easily against each other. This makes them quieter and less likely to break. You can use oil or I use a wax based undercoating like Fluid Film or Woolwax.

Think i will need to buy a set. I am having issues with axle damage which i don't really no the cause as i have CAT scaled tow rig and I am under GVWR. After replacing axle at begging of this season, not knowing what the culprit is I'm starting to think it's the road conditions. I am in Colorado, & I can concur I/70 is a joke.I have 6 trips on my travel trailer and new rear axle and just got back from a long haul down I/70 and just noticed wear on both inner tires again upon return leading me to think the pot holed I/70 is the culprit. Do you think these sumo springs will help protect axle?

I have purchased for our '22 Hemisphere. easy install, 1 thing to watch is to make sure the sumo spring is centered on the frame once weight is on them. Seems spring will work best if done.
I put them on our 21 Pinnacle 36KPTS last summer. Incredible the way it makes the truck and trailer feel more combined like a motor home. Definitely a better ride and worth the money.

Great video, as usual. I felt the same Harold on the 1st one being a pain, but the other 5 go pretty easy after. Like you said, great budget item verses the $12k.

Yup, you are right about Brooklyn Bedding customer service and quality mattress. The first one we chose didn't work for us. They sent a different one and we are totally satisfied with the entire process. They delivered as promised! Highly recommend as you stated.

Great job and informative. I don’t know how long you’ve had them but have seen and different in the floor on the inside I see part of the slide on one side and the patio on the other side if that affects the floor at all Thanks From Wisconsin
We haven't seen a difference in the floor. They sit under the frame railing so it shouldn't impact the floor at all. Hope that helps!
I just installed Sumo springs on my toy hauler too! I can’t wait to see how it rides. I’ve been in Quartzsite all winter and getting ready to hit the road soon.

Great upgrade. We installed Timbrens a couple years ago. We heard Brinkley has a deal with Summo Springs and they are installed from the factory. Pretty cool. Thanks for the information great video!
That's right. We've partnered with Brinkley who is installing them as standard equipment on the Model G!

Did these raise your clearance height any?
I’m a little late to the party but I saw your video where you said Grand Design advised you to remove the Sumo Springs. I’ve seen numerous videos of other rv RUclips channels that use Sumo Springs with no issues at all. From what I’ve seen is it’s only Grand Design owners that are having problems with their frames and Grand Design wants to lay the blame on Sumo Springs. Owners of other brands that use Sumo Springs haven’t reported any issues with them. Any thoughts?

Would love to install the IS but it’s not currently at the top of the priority list. ☺️ Do you have it?
@@1StrangeAdventure it's tough having to prioritize the upgrades. Wish it could all be in the budget lol. We do not have it. Though we are currently in the process of switching to a new rig and I'm trying to convince the wife we need IS on the new rig 😆. $12K is a hefty price tag though.
It is hefty for sure! I know a few people who have it and they love it. I’ve only heard good things. Definitely need a bigger budget! 😂

That’s the exact scenario for us. Cindy Lowe’s a soft bed and I need a firm bed. We settled on the medium and has worked good for us.

Hey there. We don’t use them. We typically use the Anderson buckets and love them.
Are you using sumosprings on your truck? and which color?
We don’t have them on the truck.

We do have a little but not enough to be concerned. The rig rides level and we avoid driving at night so we aren’t blinding anyone going down the road.
