Hi Lesley and Jordy, The yellow pot on the stove is made in France as you said by Le Creuset. My husband Will has a large collection of the original red Le Creuset. It’s lovely to look at and wonderful to cook with. I enjoy watching your videos virtually exploring abandoned places. Best wishes, Sandy
You are always so quiet and reverent when you explore these beautiful homes. Thank you for the care and respect you show. You are by far the best explorers. Love you.
It really makes me sad when I imagine the last family member sitting there before dying looking at the empty house which was once a lively place and remembering all the happy moments spent in that house with his/her family.
I love the way you are able to find out about who lived in these beautiful places. Their stories make it much more interesting, and also sad that all the belongings and photos, noone wants. The hidden wine cellar was just unbelievable. Thank you for another epic explore.
The wine is only viable if keep at a constant temp and humidity level. Which they may have, but the two bottles shown are drinking wines, not collector wines. So the wine isn't worth much more than when it was bought.
You have a beautiful voice! I could listen to you every day! Wonderful! I wish the best for your future for the both of you! I’m a grandmother of grandchildren in their 20’s, but not too old to recognize handsome young men with lovely voices! 🥰💝🤗🙏🏼🕯My firstborn grandson is 24. A wonderful age!
The bird you referred to as a peacock is a pheasant. You put so much emotion into your videos and handle their belongings with so much care that it gives much respect to the people who lived their lives in these places.
I love watching your videos of old houses. I think this one was refurbished in the 1960's going by the style of cupboards in the kitchen, known as cathedral style (I had the same in my home here in Canada). I think the billiard room was either a rebuild of a collapsed portion of the house or an addition because all the stone pointing is not very old. The bedroom which I think was above the billiard room was part of the rebuild?? fireplace more decorative than original. At some point in time this home was ransacked, judging by the upstairs and tell tell signs of small piles of belongings under tables, in corners. Someone has cleaned up the main floor rooms and staged them. The beam that you said was sagging, there was no sign of cracking in the ceiling plaster and that ceiling also looked like it had been repointed, the room above that room also had the same sag but no cracking in the plaster ceiling, which again were probably refurbished in 1960's. Also the upstairs was only tidied enough to do interesting photographs by previous explorers. The magazines brought from the storage room to add to the ambience in the other rooms. Definitely a beautiful home, lovingly restored around 1960's. I am devasted to think that this lovingly restored home, with all the modern convieniences added, has been left to decay once again. I do hope you closed all the windows, even though you did not open them, to hold back the weather from penitrating once again. Thank you for showing us what happens when families no longer care about their parents or ancestry homes. This particular home could be cleared, cleaned and be in use today. I apologize this is so long.
I am absolutely addicted to your video’s. I cannot wrap my head around how these gorgeous buildings & amazing artifacts are just left to rot. It’s so sad. Love you Leslie you are doing a great job.
Thank you Leslie, your brother and team of Explorers you collaborate with on your explorations of these beautiful, mysterious abandoned homes. You’re all very respectful too which is important. I appreciate your taking me and so many others on your journeys virtually! Hopefully many of these places can be restored or saved; which would be cool! Safe travels and big Hugs from Vancouver Canada 😊🇫🇮🇨🇦❤️
I loved the cottage you stayed in at the beginning of this video. I enjoyed this video the only thing I don't like seeing is the taxidermied animals but I under stand that people took pride in their hunts/kills. Thank you Leslie for sharing.
Hi Lesley, Bros of Decay, Again such a wonderful explore video from one of my favourite explorers! - I already liked the start in that French cottage, where you spent together with your explorer friend the night. That is actually a very beautiful place looking nice and cozy. - The carride added a little bit of a roadmovie vibe to your video, when your were driving on that road, and the sun was slowly rising. - Beautiful! - In the abandoned French mansion I managed to see through your eyes the beauty behind the very advanced decay, that was visible everywhere in the house. - Especially the living room and the dining room with this antique furniture were so beautiful to see, and of course the "pleasure room" with the beautiful chandelier, the pool table, the bar and the very beautiful antique furniture was a pleasure to see! A true time capsule! - How you were imagining the life of the former inhabitants, was again once more so touching to listen. You really have a very sensitive and highly respectful attitude in approaching the former owners life, - always amazing to listen! - I also loved to listen to the lovely background music, well matching to the images you were showing. - Wishing you all the best and many more inspiring Urban explores! - Stay safe, lots of blessings and much love from Switzerland. - Kindest regards also to your adorable brother Jordy.
Wow that was one of the most interesting homes. Great job. Loved the vanity and bed frame. Also the beautiful french vase with the Victorian people. The light over the dinning table was awesome. You guys did a good job at showing everything. And as usual you told a touching story of these peoples lives. Love you. Keep up the nice job. The wine cellar was a time capsule all alone. Fantastic. 🤗🥰❣🍷
Amazing house, really enjoyed your tour! Feeling a bit sad seeing all the nice old wooden furniture getting destroyed by mold and humidity... Thanks for taking us in board 🙌
@@Susitamarie You are right, Susi - the Dutch have been making these things for 300 years. They call it a 'braadplan' or a 'sudderplan' (a simmering pan). In 1891 a Dutch company started to make them under the 'BK' brand-name. In 1925 two Belgians opened a foundry in Picardy (north-east France) to make Dutch ovens with a coloured glaze - the first ones were orange, to reflect the colour of the moulten cast iron which in French was called 'le creuset'. They took that as the brand name - and you can see it imprinted on the pot in the video. Thanks for raising this interesting bit of history. Michael.
I know! This looked to be such a much loved family home, and it was as if they just walked away and didn't look back, even leaving their clothes. Just can't figure that.
Death. Infirmity: physical or mental illness requiring hospitalization. Children living overseas and unable/unwilling to sell or to deal with the property of a parent who died or entered a long term care facility. Property haunted by spirits or entities unwilling to move on. These are just a few potential reasons for abandoning places.
No family left or they bankrupt so bank have the house or sumn. Here my neightbor house sold after more than 10 years and it have furniture left and sold too
The reasons vary, but probate taxes after a loved one has passed are quite high in Europe and some relatives cannot afford the taxes so they let the property go to the government.
What a wonderful privilege for you being there in the house and realising you are the first entrant on this date in your life. It must've tremendous meaning for you.
You boys remember this happily, as time goes on and you may not be able to squeeze through 18”. My friends and I explored colonial and early American abandoned places in the 1970s, young compared to most of the places you boys, (men), find. Bravo on another A+ adventure.
You are absolutely my fav explorer on the net. I love how you describe your findings. And most importantly, the way you scan with your camera. You are the best! I live your adventures with you! Thank you so much💕
Small upright piano is a French "dog kennel" piano. Or "Knee Hole" piano. It is from the 1830's or 40's at least. Why the odd names I don't know, also been called a "bridge" piano. But the piano has a arched open space at the bottom of it where the pedals are. I was always told it was so it didn't scrunch the ladies hoop dresses that were in fashion at the time. But it really has to do with the harp design of the inside of the piano, as the front and keyboard open out like a door for repairs. Link to one similar, you can google French dog kennel piano and pics will come up.
I am so sad I missed this premiere! This mansion was absolutely amazing!!! I really love all the furniture and the intricate details carved into it. You definitely do not see architecture or craftsmanship like that in the USA. You and Explomo seem to find the most astonishing and breathtaking homes that look like they come straight out of a fairytale.
I really appreciate how respectful and courteous you are when exploring these beautiful homes. You and your team members are great examples of the good and honest younger generation. Keep on doing what you're doing. Thanks so much. Bob H
What a wonderful xplore Leslie such a beautiful home full of curiosities. Especially the hidden wine cellar !The wooden stand in the billiard roon is for storing cues. And you are correct they are wild boars. I was tickled to hear you were born like me on 13th July even though I was actually 41 the day you were born !! But how spooky that this house was abandoned exactly since the year you were born. Thankyou for sharing . Stay safe. X Jan X UK
The bottle you picked up from the wine rack was Beaujolais Villages 1991, a very decent red wine. I am enjoying your videos from North Carolina, USA. Rock on !
I love your videos and your voice is so soothing. My husband says your voice puts me to sleep when I have my earphones on. That’s a good thing. I’ll watch it again tomorrow. Stay safe. From Missouri, USA
Wow wow wow!!! I absolutely adored this documentary!! The hidden wine cellar was truly one of a kind! Why would they hide it? The house was gorgeously done! I can only imagine how cozy it was back in the day. Such great vibes! I bet they were a lot of fun! The place you stayed in was amazing too! Loved this! Thank you darling Lesley! Love you so much! 💕❤️🇺🇸
I don't think I will ever tire of seeing these wonderful old houses. They contain so many intriguing things and memories to see. I would say people in France loves their wine. That cellar was quite fascinating. I don't know anything about wine except it can give a person a really bad headache the next morning. Ouch!!!! Just imagine the immense warmth and cozy feeling those fireplaces made. Beautiful. Very fascinating video. You did it with style, as usual. Thank you.
Another amazing home just rotting away. I just love the stone walls with beams in the ceiling. I can't believe how much stuff was stored upstairs. A lifetime stored up there. Another home I would love to move into 💞
Hello Lesley and Jordy! Thank you for the travel back in the time in this exploration. Very interesting place all details in the decoration. Only I was not enjoying the taxidermy 🐗 in the year the house was abandoned I was 27 year's old .Really incredible the any person go inside of the Mansion for to long time but What is happening with the rest of the family? . I was having the similar tape recorder in the 1990. How many memories inside of the place? 🤔. Please stay safe and many hugs 🤗 💖 ❤ 💋👏👍
Oh ! I love your house ! It's very cozy ! With the exposed stones and the beams at the ceiling !!! 💖💖💖AND I follow you in this abandoned french mansion .... OF COURSE !
It's really sad to see how these people are left alone in these mansions and have no one to care for them in their last days and no one to care for the house afterwards 😞 😔
Beautiful chandelier from a yoke made for ox! I am glad you are not fat or we would not be able to see inside this mansion! Wow! You are so young! You look as if you are at least 30! You have great respect for the past. My husband wants to know if you know of Dr. Pol the animal vet? He’s Dutch. That is a silver dollar plant in the pretty vase. You rub the flower between your fingers and inside are the seeds!
So amazing how as she passed away you were born. This as all meant to be for some reason we may not know, but the Lord knows. You have been guided to this home.. It had to be such a lovely home. Am not crazy about stuffed, dead animals, but other than that it is really nice! So much could have been done at one time anyway Thank you both for going through all of this to let us explore with you. Not easy to get in through the window but you did it! Unbelievable wind cellar is hidden away! Probably to be hidden from the children and yet they would have known anyway am sure. lol
Your voice makes this experience so precious and timeless. I admire your explore and respect you give to the places🧡 First time finding your channel & subscribe so quick; i’m already 3 videos in 😂
Look forward to your videos all the time! You guys are the best! Wonderful voice, lovely music. Just amazing. From Maryland USA. Used to go exploring as a teenager and so now do so vicariously through your explores! Thanks again!
I LOVE how you comment your videos !!! It's a real voyage in the time ! And I love how you point your finger on all the things that have a lot of charms !!!
Another great place, you have brought us along on your adventure through a wonderful time capsule.I just love the way you guys are so respectful of these places that were a home to a family that loved their home.Just keep bringing us along on your trip around the world and as always, we love you too guys.Be safe.
Bonjour from Massachusetts 🤗 your channel is my absolute favorite channel EVER!!! I have a crazy random question I would like to know if you don’t mind have you ever experienced any paranormal going into these vacant mansions? Lol
Thank you so much for sharing your country side adventure beginning with that charming cottage. Such a mystery it must be to explore an abandoned place left like a time capsule. I appreciate the time you spent in the heart of the home, the kitchen. Thank you for your gentle touch showing respect for another's personal items and home. I always enjoy your narration and lovely perspective on all of your fascinating explorations. Good work Brothers! Thank you very much ✨❤️✨
Wow what a great explore so much antiques. , you know I loved it! Leslie your voice is awesome, puts me to sleep, then I got to go back and watch again so I won’t miss a thing!
Hey Lesley, Bros of Decay, What a beautifully furnished room with the pool table and the chandelier! - Of course I already hit the thumbs up button. I am very excited to watch your lifestream video! - Kindest regards.
Maybe you lived there in another life 😀 who knows, since your exact birthday month and year has been awaiting you as its first visitor for all these years... well done! Captivating journey and exploration. How much beauty and style in France! Lovely place you spent the night in. I love the way you find beauty in decay. Beauty’s everywhere. Ciao 👋
Lovely home and well worth restoring if this home were in England it would be snapped up quickly. The home appears to resemble a castle and was probably built in 1890 or the early part of the 1900's. Some of the furnishings were Victorian French design and in excellent condition.
What a cozy home. The price of wine depends on what kind The name.where it was bottled several factors. The wood furniture is beautiful. What a great find Leslie.❤️👍🇺🇸
The green decanter set might be valuable. I wish you had shown it longer. They had it going on there in their younger days it looks like. The wooden mirrored thing on the wall that you stated had something to do with pool is where you store and display the pool sticks when not in use. I could see the notches to hold the pool sticks in at the top part of it. A very cool place indeed, Lesley.🧡💚💛
Simply fascinating. I love watching your videos 😊They are so interesting. It’s amazing to see how other people in other times have lived. Thank you for posting these.
That was some food for thought Leslie. Amazing!!! Thanks so much for a lovely tour. Oh my word I miss France. So do I love the set up . Great features....♥️⚜️♥️⚜️♥️⚜️
Nice Le Creuset pot that’s really expensive, cast iron with enamel; wild boar; elk (not deer); holds cue sticks; jackal; setee or loveseat; pheasant, not peacock Nice little country French house. Love the L’Illustration magazines. This was a really cozy French country home. Very pleasantly livable, comfortable. If it’s way out then the husband would’ve hunted some on the grounds. Wonderful attics! In the carriage house that was an ammo belt for shotgun shells, not a gun holder (I believe you meant ‘holster,’ which it still is not). Wonderful old place there, loved it! Thanks guys, take care always. Love to you too from America 😘.
My love of history and love watching your VDO, I love this place it’s not too big and it’s really beautiful inside, very classy, thank you for sharing really enjoy your VDO
I was going to post the same thing. He's a very caring person. Even the stuffed toys. In one eisode he tucked a cute little bear in bed and made it comfortable for it. . I loved it ❤️
Boar, the wild pig, is correct for American English. They are also overpopulated in Southeast US and so still widely hunted. The gold round-leaved dried flowers in all the vases you've seen all over places is likely "gold-leaf grass", easily and commonly grown to dry and use as decor. The colorful bird is not peacock, believe a ring-neck pheasant. GREAT room. Thanks for sharing and respecting.
Very charming, I love the fireplaces. Grandma's house had huge fireplaces in her home. Lol, I remember when she finally got electricity to, one light hung down in each room and the rooms were enormous back then.
I want to live there!!! I love that style of architecture, especially that huge stone fireplace in the dining room! It even has a partially stocked wine room and a pool table! Yes, that was a boar's head.
I love the respect you show for others.,,,I have seen videos that disturbed me to my core that were disrespectful and mocking of the targets these people decided to report n with horrific disregard for human suffering…God bless you for your huge heart!!!❤️🙏🏼❤️🙋🏽♀️🇨🇦
Hi Leslie, That French Cottage was so cozy at the beginning. I think I’d have hit snooze and stayed in bed and slept in. That’s the second time I watched you get startled by a bell because you’re always trying to be quiet! 😂🤣
Love you.
He even respected the spiders web. So respectful.
Y.our manner is very pleasantly appealing. You were nicely raised
That & he doesn’t want to get caught! 😁
.
Yes I agree 💯 %!!!
It really makes me sad when I imagine the last family member sitting there before dying looking at the empty house which was once a lively place and remembering all the happy moments spent in that house with his/her family.
What's sad to me is breaking into someone's house and making money for it but they wouldn't have a video because they would be told no
I love the way you are able to find out about who lived in these beautiful places. Their stories make it much more interesting, and also sad that all the belongings and photos, noone wants. The hidden wine cellar was just unbelievable. Thank you for another epic explore.
Hi Leslie , .thanks for taking the time to show everything this is a beautiful manor .And you are by far the best explorer 😍❤

I have a cooking pot similar to that one. Mine is green. They are so heavy because they are made of cast iron and covered in porcelain.
I’ve got a blue one, they last for decades don’t they. Had mine since roughly the year 2000, it’s still going strong.
It's made by Le Creuset - the best! But not covered in porcelain, Karen, you couldn't put that in an oven! It's a metal glaze.
Dutch oven

So much could have been done at one time anyway Thank you both for going through all of this to let us explore with you. Not easy to get in through the window but you did it! Unbelievable wind cellar is hidden away! Probably to be hidden from the children and yet they would have known anyway am sure. lol
Your voice makes this experience so precious and timeless. I admire your explore and respect you give to the places🧡
First time finding your channel & subscribe so quick; i’m already 3 videos in 😂
Hey guys, when are yous doing a tour in Ireland? Since the famine, thousands of houses were just left behind and taken over by nature. 🍀

Bonjour from Massachusetts 🤗 your channel is my absolute favorite channel EVER!!! I have a crazy random question I would like to know if you don’t mind have you ever experienced any paranormal going into these vacant mansions? Lol
I wondered that myself but if he’s seen something paranormal he might not want to tell his viewers because his videos are nice and calming. 🤷♀️🤗
Eu amo quando você filma . Você mostra os detalhes, chega bem perto dos objetos. Parabéns pelo trabalho. 🌷
Thank you very much ✨❤️✨
It's a shame you can't locate someone who knew the family that can tell the story of these lives.
I love the house and the stone walls it was very interesting. Thank you
Wow what a great explore so much antiques. , you know I loved it! Leslie your voice is awesome, puts me to sleep, then I got to go back and watch again so I won’t miss a thing!

Wow, it's really mindblowing that this has been abandoned since you were born. Crazy🙃🙂🙃🤩🤩🤩
Hey Lesley, Bros of Decay, What a beautifully furnished room with the pool table and the chandelier! - Of course I already hit the
thumbs up button. I am very excited to watch your lifestream video! - Kindest regards.
Beautiful property🏡thanks for the great Video 🖥Greetings from Germany 💌
It was a place for guns. Look at the bottom slots. Pool que holder on wall across
This house is so.beautiful .so sad it's just been left like this great job guys enjoyed this one
Such an interesting place! The billliards room looks fantastic ! It seems you
restarted its heart for a moment...
I love to watch yet its sad that the family never restored this great house. So much is still in good condition in the kitchen!
Nice Le Creuset pot that’s really expensive, cast iron with enamel; wild boar; elk (not deer); holds cue sticks; jackal; setee or loveseat; pheasant, not peacock
Nice little country French house.
A real hunting lodge! 13 of July my birthday too, my daughter is 24 , now I see why I'm following your adventures !
Lovely chateau you stayed in. The cottage was really big. Huge stacks of magazines! Loved that wine cellar too.
I could literally hear you shivering!
My love of history and love watching your VDO, I love this place it’s not too big and it’s really beautiful inside, very classy, thank you for sharing really enjoy your VDO
Hello from Canada. We see these old style French homes in rural areas of Quebec. Very beautiful.
Digging the vase @ 22:30. I wish my son had your empathy and respect.
Waiting patiently! Thank you!!
I love 💘 this old manor. Such a unique place. Amazing things to see 👀 inside. Stay safe 🙏❤ 🙏 ❤ 💓 💙
How considerate of you not to upset the spiders by avoiding breaking their webs when opening the cupboard door!!!!!!!!!! 😃 🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕸️🕸️
I was going to post the same thing. He's a very caring person. Even the stuffed toys. In one eisode he tucked a cute little bear in bed and made it comfortable for it. . I loved it ❤️
i like how you treat all these places and people with such respect. great job
Always interest in your every location visited
Good luck for the next travel and location
Wow what’re an amazing place thankyou for sharing with us this amazing story
Boar, the wild pig, is correct for American English. They are also overpopulated in Southeast US and so still widely hunted. The gold round-leaved dried flowers in all the vases you've seen all over places is likely "gold-leaf grass", easily and commonly grown to dry and use as decor. The colorful bird is not peacock, believe a ring-neck pheasant. GREAT room. Thanks for sharing and respecting.
Frankinard vase. I love your films. Thank you and your staff my little love 😊
Very charming, I love the fireplaces. Grandma's house had huge fireplaces in her home. Lol, I remember when she finally got electricity to, one light hung down in each room and the rooms were enormous back then.
Thanks for the wonderful video 👏👏👏😘
Wonderfull love to see the real.greate job .GB
Greetings from Minnesota U.S.A. Thank you for another great video.
Leslie,I believe that is shotgun rack at 26:54
It’s a billiard rack.
And the piano !!! And the billiards !!! Only one thing I don't like : stuffed animal heads !
Lesley, as always, I enjoyed this video. Thank you so much 🌹
I want to live there!!! I love that style of architecture, especially that huge stone fireplace in the dining room! It even has a partially stocked wine room and a pool table! Yes, that was a boar's head.
Wow! You got a real upgrade from the tent on this trip! Congrats!!!
😃👍🏻
I love the party room. I'm sure many good times were had there. Another great video.
Love the home ❤ with some work and TLC, I think that house could be restored and livable. Thanks for sharing.
We cannot change anything.Just pay no more attention.
Hi Leslie,
That French Cottage was so cozy at the beginning. I think I’d have hit snooze and stayed in bed and slept in. That’s the second time I watched you get startled by a bell because you’re always trying to be quiet! 😂🤣
