As a petrol head. For a odd ev i love it lol
Braking distance isn't determined by caliper or disk size. It is determined by tire contact patch, construction and compound... even a Kia Picanto would lock up it's brakes without ABS. However, it does dictate how many repeated hard stops can be performed before brake fade.
This. .."we think it deserves a more serious brake package -but stopping distance is pretty good" -tell me you don't understand brakes without telling me 😅
@@benjaminwestfold5153 We mean the hardware. Most petrol/diesel cars that offer similar performance (acceleration) to this feature a quite serious multi-piston setup. Something more comprehensive would help with longevity and repeated performance too. (We usually run no more than 3 braking tests to avoid overheating the brakes, in all cars.)
@@PDriveTV Yup would definitely help in track type settings, multiple decelerations from 100km/h -which no one will do in this car in real-world driving
@@PDriveTV how long canu drive without having to recharge, say if i was using this for uber 24hrs a day how long would it last one charge

Thanks PDrive! You guys get some nice machinery to test. Personally, I'd rather a Golf R - or even Tiguan R. Same performance, and pocket the change. Performance EV cars still aren't really affordable. 🤷♂
Cupra Formentor is even cheaper and has more room than the Golf R. The Kia here costs 1.5x the cost of the 300hp Cupra and drives like a truck in comparison. Rediculous pricing for EVs for no benefit.
The amount of oil your VW uses in 1 year of ownership will pay for the difference in price.

The speedo is not accurate in most cars. It’s usually out by 5-8% 👍
Spedo out but yeah that's what happens when you only have a 1 speed transmission. You have to compromise somewhere although better that it has a 185k/h top speed and accelerate this quickly then have a 270k/h top speed but take 8 seconds to get to 100k/h.
Same with the BMW electric car, top speed is about the same.
Some electric vechils like Audi/Porsche actually have a 2 speed so they get the best of both, while cars like the Tesla Plaid have 1 speed and have both a 300k/h+ top speed and a 0-100 in 2 seconds but that's because it has 1000+hp and 1400+NM of torque so yeah.
The comment section is so funny to me. Everyone's complaining and bitching about the EV6 haha. People just have no idea why a good allround car is must more practical than a sportscar. Sorry to smoke all your asses at redlights with your performance ICEs. When you finally catch up to me 160kmh+ I'll still be running at half to third your gas prices ;)
