I bet it was remarkably peaceful during that day. Snow always has the added benefit of being a sound absorbing medium.

I know! I can't wait until the buildings are done and heated and we can hunker down at the property in a big snow! I remember that quiet sound & feeling from big snows during my childhood in Indiana.

Clever Moderns it's good to know you have Midwestern blood. Rural or suburban living?

Grew up in a smaller city but had grandparents very near the Ohio river who farmed down there, it was awesome to visit and hang out on the farm. Other grandma had a tiny but awesome lake cottage in northern Indiana.

Clever Moderns I was born and raised in Michigan. My father's maternal family owned and still works farm land. My maternal grandparents were immigrants. Grandma was a shotgun carrying potato farmer and my grandfather was a farm boy turned master Mason. I spent the summers either camping or at my parents summer cottage near Lake Huron.
