I had to like and subscribe after watching as this was a perfect battle report. Short and concise with no fluff, pointless banter back and forth, or cringe attempts at humor. Instead of Al that every part of each turn was described perfectly with no wasted time. I’ll watch every one of this reports going forward I haven’t found another 40k BR channel that does it this well and I really can’t praise what you do enough, awesome video my guy.
hey, i really enjoyed the video, great battle report! short and sweet, well edited, overall awesome work. as some other people pointed out - custodes felt so weak here! i didn't notice any rule mistakes, but something was definitely off! i feel like the kill team specific factions are just op, like it's the same case for commando orks and corsairs (at least from my experience). well anyway, good game, i may just be salty, because i was rooting for custodes!
maybe a good strategy for Custodes is to go full engage (for overwatches too) T1 and T2 to get as many kills as possible early because they are too few and concentrate on objectives T2 T3 T4. But there was really too many good rolls/crits of novi compared to Custodes.
Another cool video mate, i love these series you keep on making. I am starting my official season 1 of Kill Team soon. Got everything painted and i am trying to get more acquainted with the rules. Great work as always 👍
First time viewer, really liking this format of BR. Might i suggest a dedicated dice rolling area with two sets of distinctly colored dice and a top view of the rolls?(if you want to include the rolls in the video at all) Ive seen that in other vids and it does aide in the viewing.
I wonder if the custodes should have stayed 4apl, but still had the other nerfs. They were absolutely op for the compendium but I think 4apl custodes might fit with the bespoke teams. Or maybe gw should just hurry up and turn all the compendium teams into bespoke teams
They were definitely OP out of the gate. 4APL would have entirely changed the strategy. We discussed the conceal engage before the battle. But peerless warriors all of a sudden gets really good with 4APL.
Thanks! I try to keep them short and sweet from an editing perspective. The last two games have been wonky. 😂 I’m hoping the next matchup will go the full 4 as Tau face the Astartes
No the first turn they had conceal orders. The second turn those with engage orders were taken down before overwatch was eligible. We did conduct turn 3 over watch when eligible.
Custodes are kinda hard for sisters to deal with as they don't have a lot of high damage models that aren't melee. and Custodes will win melee because they have so many more wounds.
Novitiates definitely have enough to whittle them down, and have way more board presence. Custodes honestly are just not in a great spot right now. They need the 4apl back, or at least some other little buff. I am afraid of their potential bespoke team though. Haha.
I feel like there is something "off" in this episode. The Custodes felt like they were paper thin. It might just be because of the sheer volume of fire they took, but they were just torn to pieces in a way I am not used to see Custodes be in Kill Team.
@@MiniatureGameMontage I admit I have no idea about the Faith dice and their function, but otherwise I did not notice any glaring faults. It was probably just the amount of crits that tore the Custodes down :D
@@1701Emperor faith dice are crazy. You essentially have a pool to manipulate dice rolls. But you have to declare before you roll the dice. Like on the stakethrower. It immediately turns a normal hit to a crit which is 2MW and 3 damage. Plus the plasma pistol can have unlimited range and that thing shreds if unsaved
@@MiniatureGameMontage Okay that is very powerful, but surely there is a limiter? Like you can only have so many Faith Points, or you can't manifest the same miracle twice?
@@1701Emperor right, you can’t manifest additional blessings per activation. I didn’t see a cap but you get 3 per turning point and you can gain other points by using ploys and incapacitating enemy operatives. In short, it’s like having an additional CP pool
I don't like this video for 2 reasons! One I now have to go buy a Sisters Kill team to add them my ever growing kill team armies! Two I don't feel like sisters would fight custodes in lore normally. I am joking great video I am enjoying kill team alot more than bloated 40k right now. Did the custodes forget to overwatch? or were there no ranged weapons to do so?
Haha I saw the comment preview and thought oh this is going to be good! Technically they were training. 😂 So no In turn 1 they had conceals. On turn 2 those that flipped to engage were incapacitated prior to the overwatch sequence. Had that last one not have been taken out in turn 2 he would have been eligible.

Hey, thanks a lot! :) I appreciate you watching and for being here.
Hey hey! Thanks for the shoutout! Excited to see how this turns out!! Go Custodes! (A bit biased, lol).
Really liked your format, easy to follow. Enjoyed watching this battle report.
Thanks! 🙂

Thanks! There was another comment referring to more about tactics. I took a lot away from it to help us improve!

I think you’re right. Looking back at it, peerless warriors for two shoots would have been ideal every turn.
Woop woop happy to see that new video
I'll say congratulations in advance on reaching 10k subscribers! At time of typing there's less that 10 to go!
Thanks, friend! Such a cool milestone. I appreciate you being part of it 🙂
Dang, those girls don’t play around! Another fun report as always!
Thanks! It's my first game and I think they are very deadly.

Shouldn't the Custodes have been getting overwatch moves pretty much all game?
No the first turn they had conceal orders. The second turn those with engage orders were taken down before overwatch was eligible. We did conduct turn 3 over watch when eligible.
@@MiniatureGameMontage Yikes, I didn't realise they had conceal orders. Those sisters are certainly doing it for themselves!
Great battle report!, where did you get the mat?
Thanks! It’s one of my favorite mats. Skirmish-mats.com and use my channel name for 10% off!
Thanks! Looks amazing
Nice. Where do you get those cards with the stats?
Thanks. Here you go. Just use BattleScribe to populate it datacard.app

I thought the same. Afterwards I thought…what did we do wrong. Other than the sheer volume of crits did we mess up the mortal wounds? I don’t know

I was wondering if I could use the Custodes as a kill team.
Edit: looks like they suck though.
I wouldn't put it totally on the faction. We don't play them particularly well. I think Sisters of Silence is the way to go right now.
