Rules corrections and things to note: - We sometimes miss retaining a save in cover - The Ssshhhh! free dash happens immediately when you play the ploy, not when activating operatives - Being in heavy cover doesn't automatically make you obscured (intervening heavy terrain does) - The boss nob and novitiate superior are 3APL
The biggest issue with obscuring is that you cannot be inside of control range of the obscuring terrain. If you're within an inch of it, it's just cover, but if both models are outside of an inch, they are obscured to one another.
For your first Kill Team game this was great fun to watch, with excellent camera work and a quick, concise video. Rules accuracy will come with time, hope you guys stick with it because it's a great game and can have some really awesome cinematic moments and back and forth action! Keep up the great content!
Always enjoy these battle reports, some of the best I've seen, and it's good to get a taste for the new edition of Kill Team before trying it out myself.
Hey MGM. I'm very new to Kill Team. I purchased the starter set and my son and I are getting through the scenarios. Love your channel. Love the narration of the turns as well as the camera angles. Keep up the great work
Excellent battle report! I'm glad you managed to stick with it and see it through to the end, as the final result is one awesome, tight battle report 👌🏻
Love it... !!! the closeup shots and the sound effects gives it a lot of dynamism. I would like to see more shots from the top.... just to see the bigger picture and make it easy to comprehend whats is going on. If you do that, I recommend to try to animate the directions where the miniatures will move, then change to shots to the closer ones, to see the movement and the cover and let us enjoy the action, as you already are doing. Honestly, I loved the video. Congrats
@@MiniatureGameMontage Thanks for everything you do. It's hard to have the energy while working and bringing up kids. It's great that you're doing this with your son. I'll have to talk my daughters into playing with you soldiers when they're old enough.
Great to see Kill Team alongside your Necromunda reports. Quality work as always. Was giving your channel a shout-out on the comments section of "Striking Scorpion 82" latest video, when he was asking for suggestions to grow his base. I used you guys as great content on the smaller, deeper, 40k games systems.
I know Luke, you can see my Eldar playing him back in the earlier seasons. I do think he needs to be influenced by the likes of yourself and branch into Kill Team and Munda, help inject some new juice into the channel.
I believe at 12:58 the leader would be in cover and obscured too. He is within 1 inch of the heavy cover, yes. But the ork cover lines crossed at the middle which was more than 2 inches away. Might be wrong. There is a similar example in the rule book.
I like the "in the action closeups" but I find myself sturggling to understand the bigger picture of the battle, especially in the first couple of rounds when I haven't seen the full battlefield and I'm having to parse where everything is in relation to one another. I think more zoomed out establishing shots early on, and one or two during the round, would compliment the one you do between turning points.
No, they still use cover to hide and not be an eligible target. You need to draw clear line of sight to both sides of their base. Sometimes the camera angle makes it look different.
Your battle reports set the bar! Would love to see more of this and blood bowl. Have you played cyberpunk red combat zone? Would like to see that on the channel.
@ I’m not the expert but I would say, yes. It would be unfair to be able to shoot through a window and not receive return fire. Assuming it’s heavy terrain and the operative has an engage order.
@@eh6194 honestly I’d probably check out can you roll a crit or glass half dead for those type of tips. I’m not a very good list builder. You can run up to two Purgatus operatives. She felt powerful hitting on 2s with 4 damage. Plus you have faith. I loved the condemor, purgatus, exactor and preceptor. The penitent should be really good. With their low wounds I’d almost consider replacing the hospitaler with another Purgatus.
@@nolader28 we had a lot of heavy terrain on the board. But essentially they need to be more than 1” away from it to be obscured. We got confused on some of that.
Narration is key good job, maybe some more close static shots from the camera to help ground us in the action but if you keep playing kill team ima watch
Im a bit confused on your turning the conceal order to engage mid battle, i was under the impression you could only change it at the start of a turning point, and whatever you set at the start of that turning point is what the operative would have for the remainder of that turning point? but in your video it was shown to happen almost every time a unit wanted to fight.
Thanks for dropping in. The rules state, "whenever an operative activates, first select its order (Engage or Conceal). It then performs actions..." So if you had an operative with a conceal order, he/she would remain concealed until you activate that operative again.

How much CP do you get on TP1? is it 2 or 3?
@ the rules state that “each player gains 1 CP. In each turning point after the first, the player who doesn’t have initiative gains 2 CP instead.”
