- I had so much fun making this video, I really hope you guys enjoy it even though it's quite different from my norm! I though it'd be interesting to make a story-style video to reveal this costume since I've put so much work into sewing it, and if this isn't enough detailed costume reveal for you, I'll be wearing it to Katsucon and will get lots of video there as well 😊
A big big thank you to Cylburn Arboretum and La Dew Topiary Garden for being so gracious in letting me film in your beautiful locations, and to Micah for helping me put it all together and putting up with me while I was hangry and in pain from pinching shoes and a 20lb costume!
Do you like this style of reveal? Let me know in the comments what you think and if you have other ideas of what you might prefer instead!

This is gorgeous!!! Seeing the process of this project from start to finish was such a treat. Thank you for sharing this with us and I can't wait to see you next projects!
aah thank you for watching!! I'm so glad you liked the whole series, I really appreciate that you stuck with the whole thing 😊❤
I love this! The location was perfect for Alice and you did such a fantastic job with the acting (and obviously the costume) and I am so happy that I have been able to join you in this adventure! Thank you
Thank you so much! Haha I’m glad you liked the acting, gotta admit I am a very self conscious actor. I had to take a couple acting classes for theatre degree and it was not my strong suit!
It turned out so wonderful. It looks absolutely stunning on you and i loved the little story you created for the showcase. I’m glad I found you through this project and now I‘m a little bit sad that it‘s done because these videos brought me so much joy, but it’s also so amazing to see the costume in its full glory. I can‘t wait to see what comes next. I‘m definitely excited for the next projects.
Thank you so much! I’m definitely going to keep making similar videos so no worries there!! October and November I’m focusing on some shorter fall themed projects but December I’m starting another giant one!
Beautiful! Congratulations! It was fun to follow you down the massive rabbit hole that was this project. And I appreciate the editing of the showcase too!
Thank you!! And thank you for watching 😊 haha I had a lot of fun editing this I’m glad you liked it
Absolutely splendid how it all came together. So, so incredible. You must be thrilled!
thank you! and omg yes I'm so happy with how it turned out!!
Binged watched this whole series, I loved it so much! My favourite techniques you used was the embossing on the velvet and the beading. I also love the flossing on the corset. So much work goes into the little details and all the layers. You are a very accomplished seamstress and cosplayer. Thanks for sharing your skills with us
This final reveal was soooooo satisfying!!! Congrats on all the hard work. I REALLY enjoyed watching this series.
thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it!
My god that beading looks so incredible as part of the whole dress, I can’t get over it.
This is one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen in illustration or photo, but I have to tell you that I got chills when I saw the shape of the skirt and how perfectly it worked with the bodice, and then I got a headache once you cut the asymmetrical hem . I want to learn to sew just so I can create something like this and I'm thankful to you for inspiring me, full skirt or no.
It's sooo beautiful, I love so many parts of it, but it's so nice to know the process behind them and noticing all the little details
Thank you so much! Honestly I was worried people wouldn’t like this video bc it’s so different from my sewing videos but I think knowing the processes really gives it context!
I am in absolute awe of the time, commitment, skill, expense, EVERYTHING about this project. I know I'm like a year late but I just watched the whole series and had to let you know how amazing I think this is. I just about cried for you with how beautifully it turned out after seeing you do the entire process from scratch. Absolutely gorgeous.
Also, my sewing room has a little bit of empty space that might need some Hannah Alexander art in it....
Amazing! Everything is such a pleasure to watch, from your first adorable outfit to the full glory of Alice cosplay. The music works perfectly, too. You even found a rabbit! Beautiful video to showcase your beautiful work. P.S. I kind of miss your natural hair color, it looks so good with blue velvet. Sorry, don't mind me.
Thank you! Haha it’s just a wig, so I still have the dark hair 😊
I wish I could like this more than one time!!!! So cool seeing the whole project from start to finish. I'm strangely proud of your accomplishment.
I absolutely loved seeing this whole video series and the finished ensemble all together is so breathtaking. I love video series and I really love how you film and edit your videos. I really gravitate to sewing videos that actually not just talk about sewing but show the sewing, love watching people create and you definitely do that. Thank you for all your beautiful content, hard work, time and effort!!!!
aw thank you so much, I really appreciate you taking the time to comment on everything! And I'm so glad you liked all of it 😊
this video was so cute!!! And the dress!!!! looks so amazing!!! the flowers train is so beautiful in movement!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely in love with it, and knowing how much work went into every aspect... stunning, truly
thank you so much!
Oh wow, I wasnt expecting a whole little movie! What a gorgeous video, and such a perfect location! It was lovely to see the dress in motion and the beautiful swish and swirl of the skirts and lace. Such a fantastic project, it's been a real treat to follow along 😍💙
ah thank you so much! I had so much fun making this haha, it's very heavy but so much fun to twirl around in 😊 thank you for following along!!
This is stunning stunning stunning I have showed my entire family every single video now and it still blows me away!!
aah thank you so much this is so sweet!
The finished cosplay is amazing! And so cool to see it all come together from the first undergarments to the final piece!
thank you!!
Oh wow!!! I knew it was going to be great, just based on the pieces themselves. But all together?!?!?!!? Its incredible. So gorgeous. The whole costume together is absolutely stunning! And this showcase!!! So fun to watch and it showed off all your hard work beautifully!! Excellent work!!
aah thank you so much this is so sweet 😭❤ I'm so glad you liked it all, thanks for being here for the ride!!! 💕
All that hard work really paid off! The results are breathtaking!! Lovely little clip to show of the wonderful costume!
thank you so much! haha the cinematic reveals are honestly my favorite videos to make!
Love how this turned out, it's so beautiful 😍

Oh my gosh the cosplay is wonderful! The twirl in the credit scene was soo cute! I love how animated the movements of the dress are, it's just really pretty to watch! Can't wait to see what projects you do next. Thank you so much for sharing.

Everything turned out soooooo good! I hope to someday make something half as pretty 😍
thank you!! you can do it!!
A beautiful end to all that work! Twirl that skirt!
haha thank you so much! it's lots of fun to twirl in 😊
If I could comment with a gif, it would definitely be foam mouth guy from avatar 💕
omg haha thank you!
Beautiful!
thank you!
Very beautiful. I know you were basing it off the illustration but I actually prefer it with your natural hair.
thank you! haha you're not the only one to have mentioned that, I think the teal ends up coordinating better with dark hair but oh well!
Beautiful
thank you!
Wonderful job!
thank you!
That was so awesome!!!
thank you!
Magical!
Thank you!
This is stunning! I can't wait to see everything from Katsucon and I hope you have loads of fun, even if the outfit is a wee bit heavy 😅
thank you! Yesss I hope I can meet you at katsu! haha it's super fun to swoosh around in even if it's a pain to wear so it balances out 😋
@@moth.faerie It would be loads of fun to go to a con again and give me a really good excuse to make something new! I have a few medieval dresses that when they come off at the end of the day I suddenly feel like I'm floating lol maximum swoosh always makes up for it tho 😍😍
WOW This is such a beautiful costume and it fits you like a glove :O... I love how many details it has and the different fabrics and many beautiful flowers.
The video is so good too and it really showcases the costume well. I love how you made the effort to show a transition between a classical Alice and a victorian one! :D
thank you so much!! haha I tried really hard with making a coherent-ish story, I'm so glad it paid off 😊💕
Hey, I just discovered you from this one video and subscribed!
thanks! My bf shot the video and I directed so it was definitely a collaborative effort! 😊 if you're at katsucon, otakon, or colossal east next year those are my planned cons!
Very nicely done. For added realism, would you consider stepping into ankle-deep water (with shoes and socks ON) to simulate the pool of tears? 😊
This was such a fun project to follow! I don't know how I haven't stumbled across your channel sooner but I am so glad I know about it now! You did such an amazing job! This really inspired me to FINALLY start on a costume I have been wanting to make for about 2 years now (life you know...) Still a bit of a ways off from REALLY being able to do everything - currently 6 months pregnant... so my body is doing things haha - but there are definitely things I CAN start on and that's something! I am so excited to have found your channel and to be able to see what things are to come!
thank you so much, I'm so glad you liked it! Aah what costume are you starting on? and omg congratulations and good luck! I'm going to be making my friend's wedding dress a few months after she gives birth so I'll be taking on a similar challenge soon 😅
@@moth.faerie oh man! Haha yeah the body changes happening right now are a little hard to keep up with haha. I wanted to make something for Halloween and just stuck with make a very short jacket and even in the time it’s taken me to make it it fits much different then when I started.
I want to make a Victorian bustle dress inspired by one of Evie Frye’s outfits from Assassins Creed Syndicate. So I want to make all the under things and dress and everything. I figured might be awhile before I have fit a corset but maybe I can start with some looser fitting / adjustable combinations and then her coat has a A LOT of embroidery and so I thought well…. I have the time…. Why not do it by hand. I may regret that haha
Ah that sounds super cool! Haha embroidery is definitely a good time killer, especially if you're able to work on it before you really need to fit it. Starting with all the loose undergarments would definitely work and then you might get some nice lounging clothes out of it too!
@@moth.faerie that’s my hope! I ordered a bunch of samples so hopefully I have get the ball rolling soon! I actually have some supplies already - I had plans to start it last year… but then we ended up buying a house… and based off your recent videos you know that goes haha.
But I figure I can make them loose and then instead of button closures opt for tie closures to give myself some flexibility haha
🤩 amazing
thank you!
Aaaaaaaaah! So beautiful
Thank you!!
Sooooo freaking pretty. * A *
But as a quick question out of concern for your lovely skirt, did you do a dust ruffle? The aesthetic shots are super wow, but then I started worrying for your hem when I saw you covering all that ground. XD
i didn't do a dust ruffle on this costume partially bc uh im lazy with that stuff lol but also because it's a high low skirt a dust ruffle would show through the front of the skirt. it does get a bit dirty but i just wash it in the shower by hand 😅
Beautifully done. It's a wonderful dress to see in motion. And the video was nice too.
Small suggestion - take some shots of you with your natural hair. Types the woman who got her hair partially relaxed so it could fit easier under a vail... But seriously, doll up your own hair and see what the camera finds?
In any case... gorgeous
- Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown
thank you! haha I'm not sure if I'm willing to put this back on for a little while, but I'll try to remember to grab some photos in my hair next time!
@@moth.faerie Fair enough. It's all beautiful work. You should be very proud.
Seems a bit dumb to comment about your shoes on such an amazingly made outfit, I am hugely envious of your sewing skills 😂😂 but OMG where did you get your shoes? I'm dying to get some like that!!!
ah no worries! i'm not 100% that this is the correct link but i think it is amzn.to/35YEOWJ - my old roommate trashed my shoes when she wore them on a night out and the ones i have now are the replacement so i don't know the exact link, sorry!
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
You are so beautiful. I love alice in wonderland story and your cosplay is magnificent so much creative. Keep up the great work my friend.
