Jake, great Cover!!! I have a question for you. Is this video monetized? We had one of our musicians do a similar style cover of this tune and it was pulled due to copyright infringement. The kicker is we didn't use a backing track. We had our guitarist cover all parts similar to what you did here. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks -SR
no it is not, i had it taken down twice but the second time i filed a dispute claiming that this is not from profit and for educational use only. seemed to work hope that helps!

nice job.. the playing and the editing... not exact, but that's a heck of a chore to tackle.. close enough.. 90% or so.. i've been covering this song for 40 years.. i've spent years honing my skills on this one (and stairway, among others) to be as true to the recording as possible.. i've had to teach the fills and harmonies to umpteen guitarists who joined my bands or when i joined theirs.. i always try to mimic the recording note for note whenever possible.. you certainly have the talent.. dunno what was causing the foul notes at the end.. keys? backing trax? and your 12 string level was too high throughout.. drowning out some of the other parts.. and if you ever retry this.. use a real bass and play the whole bassline.. the walk up, and down.. it really makes a difference.. and your fills were a little incomplete.. and some parts were embellished a little.. to be expected.. i'm sure you know all this.. you are very good.. just some advice if you want to really play it right and get the right sound.. phenomenal video man.. even as is, thats one helluva job..

Hey man, nice cover. Thinking about picking up the rg450 like you have here. Do you still really enjoy it? How would you compare it to a Jackson soloist slx?
thanks! I really like the RG, neck feels really slim and fast, the pickups aren't the greatest but with a little messing around you can get a great sound outta them. I've never played a jackson before so I can't really say much about the soloist, but from looking at it you can't really go wrong. if you wanna spend about 300 bucks more you should look into the LTD MH1000 which I currently play and it is fantastic, love the EMG active pickups. check out some more of my recent vids like my master of puppets cover and see it in action!
Tried to sing the song with my eyes closed and this background, i was in perfect sync. Good job.

The was a great cover. There were a few errors but the opening was absolutely flawless!!!!! (so flawless I had to check 7-8 times to verify it was you playing) Please re-record this cover. Remove the vocals in the background, lower the other guitars while playing the solos and fix the very few errors in the notes. If you do this you will have millions of views on this cover.

Nice job! I used no backing tracks and played and sang this song solo using my Boss RC-300 looper and they still hit me with a copyright strike and removed it. Happy they let you keep this up!

Hey Bro, how did you post this without copyrighted issues? I'm struggling to post mine
I'm guessing he got away with it because the vocals have pretty much all been removed from the song. Sure there is a point where you can sort of hear a voice but I listened pretty close and the voice doesn't really sound like Don Henley so my guess is the playing of the instrument itself isnt copyrighted so it passes by. Just a theory though, I mean it could be removed tomorrow. I was watching another cover just last week and the next day it was removed for copyright reasons. So I guess it could also just be a matter of time.

J M Final cut pro will do the job, just use cropping and transform. look up some vids on those 2 and you’ll be good to go

I was talking to my rhythm guitar player because I told him I want to do my next cover song on Fleetwood Mac, “Dreams”, and he was talking about adding in some acoustic guitar, rhythm and electric. Now I can hear that with lead, rhythm, but ADDITIONAL acoustic. I am not sure. It will be an interesting arrangement.

I learned it and recorded it at the same time, so about a little over a week
