I don't think I've ever seen a whammy bar used specifically to do that. It's like you took something invented for messy styles and used it for something clean. Here for it!
By messy do you mean distortion or like technique?
@@nero5971 I'm thinking of something like surf rock, which I don't think would fit into either category. You use the whammy bar to make the pitch slide around all over the place to evoke a kind of lazy feeling. Sometimes that goes with distortion, but not always. And in terms of technique, it's all very deliberate, so I wouldn't call it imprecise either. I think you get what I mean.
Usually the whammy bar is used to make something feel earthy and human, and here he's created something otherworldly sounding.

I'm pretty sure it isn't a whammy, maybe a midi for pitch bending since the strings aren't getting loosened or tightened

this guitar is amazing. hasn't been a "break through" in guitars for nearly 50 years. but this mash up of a the classic guitar and electric shredder really the first in a long time bring something entirely new to the scene.
Ibanez tried introducing this guitar a long time ago but the vast majority of the public didn’t like it so they tabled the line until Tim hit them up again.

This guy didn't really do anything for ibanez to be honest , Tim makes popular songs using ibanez at the same time to somehow advertise it and his songs get millions of views and many people know about ibanez because of Tim so it's not really a surprise
