187 is code for murder! It used to be used in a lot of rap songs, back in my day. It's cop code, criminal justice code for a murder. So, the rappers/others who used it, were basically saying, “I'm going to talk to you on YOUR terms. I'm going to use your speech against you!" Which, was really cool!! It was another form of wordplay, really. As well as being a social statement against racist cops, and against cops criminalizing the things that people, minorities in particular, had to do in order to survive, because lack of fair opportunities. It was a very powerful thing!!! I hadn't watched one of your videos in a while, and it's good to see that y'all are still as crazy as ever!! Of course, I love seeing people get into music from different eras, it really widens your musical experience!! A lot of my favorite music is from other areas of music, ages, etc than many would think, and it really enriches my life in many ways!! But, having been born in the early 80s, I'll always love the music from the 90s and 2000s, in particular! Not to say that some of my favorite bands, songs, artist, etc. aren't from before or after then, but I just have a soft spot for the music from that time, in general. Our rap was really at it's apex, it's prime, though, lmao!! Thus far, anyway!! Not to say the newer rap hasn't brought some good shit to the game too, because it has..... In fits and starts, lol!! A few of today's artist are some of my all-time favs too. I'm open to try almost any music!!! My limit is at purposeful hateful speech, without a good reason!! I go from mellow to “thrashasus" 🤣, that's what a Cousin of mine termed my core taste in music!! What can I say? I love a lot of hardcore music!!
    Take Care of Yourselves,
    Amanda Heath

So he was a very good basketball/athlete & had a huge appetite, so as a result, he ate himself into the size he became as he let himself go from dunking basketball's to obesity. That's the story he told. Anyway, saludos from your Puerto Rican brotha. Keep up the great work young men, I like what you're doing. I appreciate that you appreciate your Hip-Hop roots.

More Big Pun to check out (do lyrics videos, music videos are heavily edited): "Im not a player" and "Im still not a player" together to show how he could appeal to the females AND the guys at the same time.
"You came up", "Boomerang", "Beware" are others that show off his diversity in lyrics, flow and beats - but he has a whole catalog of hip hop gems.
He was the first Latino rapper to go platinum. Big Pun and Terror Squad were no joke.

I heard instead of keeping heroine and pills out the studio, fat Joe gave STRICT instruction not to let fried chicken and junk food in the studio because Pun's death was a real fear over his weight. One of his last singles released thay he was in he says "I just lost 100lbs kid, I'm trying to live" wild. His amity with multisyllable rap was immeasurable. R.A the rugged man on "uncommon valor" has a feature where he's reminiscent of Pun but R.A to me still doesn't have the cadence like Pun when he does it. R.A a legend in his own right too tho
