I've also had friends who saw him live right when Capital Punishment came out who've said his performances were never great because he would get tired very fast

Superb documentary, man. I too was influenced a great deal by Pun early on when I was first learning how to rap. Imo Pun, Big, & Pac are the best artists to study for teaching yourself the fundamentals of writing hip-hop. To anyone reading this comment who wants to give it a try, I say go for it! Practice makes perfect with this artform
There was an interview long ago. She discussed DV and they should how he pistol-whipped her in the face. She also talked about the day he lasted away and how she knew he was sick and wasn’t going to make it and sent her kids away and then he passed. Was Big Pun more better lyrically than Biggie? Idk, I’m starting to think so cause I’m sure he had more rap techniques than him. I feel like biggie knew how to make hits more than Pun. Both were amazing artists.
Pun definitely had the tongue twisters, Pac had the depth and aggression, and Biggie had massive charisma and unmatched flow IMO. The one thing that I didn't like with Pun is his breathing, like you can hear him gasping for air between bars.

Pun is still the best lyricist that has ever lived that's straight facts, and my opinion is that there's only 3 rappers that have the lyrical ability to match Pun that's Eminem,Lil Wayne and Tech Nine. And they've been doin it over 20 years each. Pun was just beginning when he passed sucks the world will never know how high the limit was for him

Great video. So blessed to be from The Bronx like Pun and listen to his music at a young age due to my older siblings. Wish he had more time in the game. Whenever BX rappers or Latino rappers are mentioned I always let people who don’t know, that Big Pun was one of the greatest rappers of all time. Only Latino rapper to go platinum off his only 2 albums, an incredible feat that has yet to be matched 🇵🇷🗽

Superb documentary, man. I too was influenced a great deal by Pun early on when I was first learning how to rap. Imo Pun, Big, & Pac are the best artists to study for teaching yourself the fundamentals of writing hip-hop. To anyone reading this comment who wants to give it a try, I say go for it! Practice makes perfect with this artform

There was an interview long ago. She discussed DV and they should how he pistol-whipped her in the face. She also talked about the day he lasted away and how she knew he was sick and wasn’t going to make it and sent her kids away and then he passed. It’s been a long time since I saw it but I’m sure you can find it on YT.

Was Big Pun more better lyrically than Biggie? Idk, I’m starting to think so cause I’m sure he had more rap techniques than him.
I feel like biggie knew how to make hits more than Pun. Both were amazing artists.
Pun definitely had the tongue twisters, Pac had the depth and aggression, and Biggie had massive charisma and unmatched flow IMO.
The one thing that I didn't like with Pun is his breathing, like you can hear him gasping for air between bars.

He was just getting started man. So tragic. I feel like if pun had lived through a health scare, he would've underwent therapy and counseling and learned to cope with his trauma in healthier ways...and would've had a legendary career

Sometimes you wish he would have gotten some therapy or something cuz his childhood was so f'ed up. Led him to be a crazy ass MC. But the best ones always die young 😢 not about how many sells you can make, but the impact you have on people and the rap game.
