After the show we pad round the harbour to an artist-friendly bar where I chat to young man who last saw Sigur Rós in 1994 (!) when it was just Georg, Jónsi and original drummer Gusti, all with their long hair still flowing. You can’t say we are preaching to the converted on this trip. The atmosphere in the bar is good and communal, with the disparate elements of the crew coming together with some kind of team spirit and common goal." - John Best

I absolutely love this band, I accidentally came across them 12 years ago while flicking through channels on my telly and found them in concert on the Beeb and was mesmerized and still am to this day, they are a very unique band with a very unique, beautiful musical sound and a very special vocalist. I have many of their albums and when I listen to each track it's like going on a beautiful musical journey. I also love Iceland and hope someday to visit this wonderful country before I Pop Me Clogs. Rock On Sigur Ros.

Jónsi is the only member I’ve seen an interview with and he seemed like a very likable , very approachable human. In my next life I want to live in a tiny , magical country and earn a comfortable living by making people unusually happy all over the world through extraordinarily unique and moving music.

Love Sigur Rós, lov the whole () Album, saw them live tonight in Vienna. Music that drives me to tears. Very special.

I saw them in Luxembourg, Koln, Amsterdam and Paris in Oct/Nov 2022... this was my best concert tour ever.

Took me years to find this song as the first time i heard it was in the Dead Space trailer. Would go back to it so often to listen to the part of this song that was used in it. Was so moved when i finally found it and got to listen to it in all its amazing beauty.

Qué forma de percibir al mundo tan simple y tan poética me transmite esta maravillosa banda. Con tanta paz, serenidad, naturalidad, calma y...fluidez. Como estar en sintonía y armonía con toda la belleza de la vida y el mundo. Es ese tipo de felicidad que no te dan ni los placeres físicos ni las emociones fuertes, sino la que dan las pequeñas cosas, esos detalles que nos rodean en cada momento, y que si nos tomamos un momento para prestarles atención rebozan de vida y derraman alegría. De verdad me hacen entrar a un mundo del que a veces no quisiera salir nunca!

I know this is a late reply but it’s fascinated me too!
From how I’d count it it sounds like the syncopated snare hits change between being straight and swung which is why its so strange. The first hit is syncopated then the rest are swung if that makes any sense!
