They are not South African, they are Asian. African elephants have larger ears and the head does not have those 2 lumps on the head, between the ears.
Looks like an Asian elephant, not African.

This elephant needed medical attention. He weighs 7 tons (14,000 pounds). These guys are amazing.
Its wonderful to see everyone coming together to help this majestic animal.
Everybody had a job to do and they worked side by side for the love and care of these incredible animals.💕💕

I wish this were sub titles. I have no idea what was wrong with the elephant and why they were doing things as they did. I'm glad they helped. I just wish I knew more.
Ditto...maybe more explanation in the description box. I wonder what the one man did at the very beginning when it appeared he snapped some branches and maybe said a prayer? ...and it appeared they were gathering info from certain branches of leaves on the ground??..what were they seeing?? What clues were they getting??...otherwise just watching these guys protect and care for the elephants is inspiring
There was a narrative attached. He was supposedly injured and destroying property so they are relocating the elephant after vaccinations and or treatment

He is a very dangerous elephant. They come to the villages and kill people. So he is taken to another sanctuary.
It's amazing what can be accomplished when a community comes together. 💖 I love elephants so much.

I finally read the narrative. It was an angry injured elephant being treated and relocated because he was destroying property . They said people came to watch the spectacle. Yep enlightened. Lol

These men are Heroes, they work day And night to save a beautiful animal. I thank you for what you do for these beautiful Elephants. This is so Heart warming. I hate when a zoo or carnival or a mean person chained one up with a 3 foot chain , and make them stay without food or water all day. Everybody in the audience poked and throw them at them. It simply breaks my Heart. Thank you all and the caretakers, you are exceptional people, God has called you to care for this beautiful creatures of the wild. i didn't see any thing wrong with that elephant except that its the most docile wild elephant ive ever seen.
He was sedated. Supposedly he was angry and injured according to their narrative so he was being relocated

It is wonderful what these people do to protect these beautiful creatures! My only issue with the videos is other than seeing they are helping, You can’t determine what issues the elephant/s have, prognosis, nothing more. It leaves everything open ended

Asian elephants are gentle giants, they are definitely friendlier and more docile than the more aggressive and dangerous African elephants.
The 2 different elephants look different, aside from difference in ear size, and Asian phants having 2 bumps on their head and African has just 1. Their colours are different, African phants are all grey everywhere, while Asian phants are mostly a brown color but have yellow areas in front with little spots.

This video was not just inspirational from an educational aspect, but most importantly it shows the love that people from all over the world have for their native animals and wildlife. All humans have a natural love for our animal kingdom and there are only a few that would take advantage and exploit these beautiful beast for personal profit. A great majority of us would go as far as risk our own safety to save the life of a hurt and injured animal. Thank you to all involved who helped this beautiful male elephant return to health and again released to the wild.
