Great project, I’ve been using my one for about a week now and that’s pretty much how I have been using my one but good to have a ready made grbl file (that was half my battle). I’ve done a couple of small mods which include, making the rail holes smaller of the lifter and drilling out with a 1/8 bit after it has printed, added washers at end of springs, put a hole on the front side of the gripper so screw is easy to adjust and lastly added 2 springs side by side on the gripper so it holder some smoother pens.

please help me fix this issue , following your tutorial ,im using cnc shield v3 and arduino uno r3 , i have uploaded the grbl 9 firmware and the machine gets detected is ugs too , when i try to move the servo or run the motors using jogger it dosent work .

Can you tell me what I need to do so when I home my machine the pen (servo) moves up and not drop down and drag along the work surface? Whenever I run the home command (I have homing switches installed for X and Y only) the servo lowers and the pend ends up dragging across my work surface and it ruins my job. Thanks!

Ciao, the Mac version of Inkscape does not have the extensions folder. I create the folder, put the files inside but it does not work. I can't create the Gcode, there's another way to do it? grazie Simone

I have created a larger format machine but I am getting an Inkscape error when I try to generate gcode files with large document size. Standard page size works fine.

when you open Inkscape -1 goto FILE ,2 sselect Document properities 3, now change the page width and height to match what you need.........also look over all of the available selections and change to what you need.

Hello, I did everything according to your video. The programs work, the X and Y motors rotate correctly. But the servo is activated only once when starting work. Manually, when I write m03 s250 or m03 s90, the servo goes to the same position and does not move until restart. What could be wrong, what settings affect the server?

I have uploaded GRBL to my Arduino Uno board and setup UGS. I can connect and move the servo up and down but the stepper motors aren't responding at all. X or Y. Any ideas?

have you added microstepping jumpers on the CNC shield under the motor drivers? also you need to configure steps per mm, or x y feedrate, in UGS firmware configuration

How do I go about enable homing limit switches which I installed? Do I need to make edits to GRBL and reupload as well as edits in UGS? Thanks!
