16:29 Scott from Coldwarmotors! That guy is a Legend! 😎 He only put the body back on his T last week. Awesome video Alexander! You're a Legend too! 🔥🔥🔥
That was a fun surprise, I've been watching Scott for years. Glad to see the T made it together for this event. Jim's Conti on the other hand - OMG so much work to go! I thought Dean and Team Edsel were going to walk away with the Summer Showdown, but the tele-touch failed, then the hole in his floor was exposed, it was going to be a closer race than it appeared. But then seeing this clip of Scott today, it would appear Team T has marched forward and pulled out the victory. Funny Alex didn't recognize or acknowledge who Scott is, for some reason I would have assumed Alex would know what ColdWarMotors was. But maybe not, he's a busy guy that makes youtube, and probably doesn't watch much RUclips.
Alex: Everyone’s loaded up. Kids all fit in the back.” Abigail: Um...sort of. Except I can’t sit back and have to ride sitting on the edge of the seat! 😂😂😂 Looked like a wonderful time. So much fun just being out together as a family on a sunny day to watch these old cars race! Everyone looks so happy to be there! Alex, you and Melissa have the 3 greatest kids! All beautiful, respectful, talented, interesting with great personalities and genuinely nice people like their parents! Well done, both by you and by the kids themselves. 🥰
Omg has your family grown. Those boys are young men and oh my Abby has grown to a beautiful young lady. What a beautiful family. It was so very cool to see all these old vehicles and all the hours put into bringing them back to their glory
So happy your familyvis so close knit and enjoys being together for fun events . . . It really shows in everyone's positive dispositions. You family encourages others to be together just by being togther. Thanks for the inspiration . . .
I enjoyed this so much Alexander!! I always enjoy a good car show~ So nice to see the family out for a great afternoon of fun... Thank you so much Archbold family❣
Great video, Alexander! I like it when you take us on adventures like this one. I like your hat, it looks great on you. I also have always loved station wagons. I learned to drive on a huge one from the late 70's. I hope no one got sunburned! It looked like you just got a farmer's tan.:-) Your Peanuts shirt is great too!
Me, too! I drove my family’s second car (demoted when they got a new car) around when I was in high school. It was an Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser and it was a 1965 model. I got my license at 16 in 1971. That Vista Cruiser was like a tank - my mom always drove the “good” car every day and my dad drove the Vista Cruiser back and forth to work, to play golf and when he was taking the dog with him someplace. They kept trading the good car in every few years and kept the Olds. My dad refused to part with it. They continued to drive it clear up till 1980 when they were ready to get a new car and decided to demote their “good” car, meaning the Vista Cruiser could be retired. My dad heard of a young couple in desperate need of a second car as the wife was driving to nursing school an hour away and the husband needed use of a car during the time she was out of town. They saw the car (it was pretty distinctive and the only one in town) driving around for several years afterward!
We had one of those Kingswood station wagons. Ours was all grey, no wood panel trim. My dad got it as a dealer model with 500 miles on it for $3000 in 1971.
Patina . . . I kick myself for painting the Fargo the patina on it was perfect . . . but . . . 25 years ago it wasn't thought of. My Dad would have loved the Model T races he had a hotrodded Model T long before it was a thing . . .
Wow, thanks for taking us out to the races today!😀 Reminds me of my youth at the Homer winter carnival's ice car races, those were the days, hot dogs hot chocolate and hot cars.🤗🤗🤗
Love old car shows like this. My uncle's farm had quite a bit of old vintage trackers and machinery that belonged to my Grandfather Percy. So watching your show brings back memories.
Lovely old British cars, and I love the Jag C. Have you heard about the restoration of the one and only Lotus Bulldog. It managed 192 mph in test runs today !! 🌍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🌍
This is so fun! We have a 1946, a 1947, and two 1948 Dodge pickup trucks! We also used to have a really cool 1952 twin H power Hudson Hornet sedan. I sure loved that old car! She didn't settle down till she was going 80mph!
Easter egg? I just seen Scott from “Coldwar Motors” driving his model T he’s been rebuilding on his you-tube channel. Was that planned? Do you know Scoot?
This looks so fun! I love the chugging sound from old cars. Pretty loud, but they make any event or outing feel more exciting. I also miss our local motocross. Dirt would fly everywhere during the races, lol.
Ah, brilliant. Me and my beautiful Sarah went to a car show today in Maldon, Essex, England. It would have been right up your alley. Many classic cars - a few of which you may have owned! In fact, a couple I know you have had...
about 1965 I was at Darlington watching heats with the NASCAR racers and it was the loudest I have ever heard when they raced by sound reverberating off the roof and concrete bleachers.
LOL, the sound of those engines brought memories of Dad's old Model T. My brother actually got it, but didn't get around to restoring it. So Dad got it running, and every couple of weekends he and I would drive out 30 miles down the Columbia on Hwy 30, to 25 acres we had in the country, and plant trees or something. The old T managed about 50 mph, and it was a great ride! A bit noisy, though. 😁 The races were cool!
Haha remaindered me of 'wacky racers' cartoons. Great vid. We are doing it hard in lockdown here in Melbourne Australia and our RUclips vids bring some joy :) How has Canada avoided delta covid. Can we lean from you guys? Are you vaccinated ? We won't have lockdown end until we have 80% double vax.. so we live for these videos :)
Alex thank you for sharing your family trip to the model A races. I enjoyed watching, I felt like I was watching it in person. You really are good at making your videos interesting. Keep up the good work. Subscriber from south Texas.
In the early 60s we had a station wagon and my dad put an air conditioner on the drivers side window. It was kind of bullet shaped like the one here but it was a swamp cooler and worked by evaporation . The big drawback to it was , depending on how hot it was out, you had to keep stopping to fill it with water.

I feel an affinity with Rusty Wobbler. I'm getting old, and often feel both rusty and wobbly. We also have the same initials. :)
