I’m camping in the deep woods right now and heard one calling. My dad use to be able to call them. He grew up in the woods and spent so much time outdoors he could perfectly mimic their call with just his vocal cords and by cupping his hands. He passed a couple years ago and now every time I hear one I think of him.

Yes! Finally. I couldn't find ANY videos of barred owls "screaming". Now I know what I heard was an owl and NOT a coyote. Haha Took my dogs out in the dark and heard a creepy screaming sound and thought they were coyotes for a second. Phew!
This video is kinda old but I call owls with it at least 4 days a week at N and B processing rite at 9 o'clock great video keep the video's coming great sounding call for grand nationals!!!!!!
When the owls respond back you know its good. A buddy of mine and his son went with me to one of the farms I hunt, we got out to the tree line and my buddy was trying to make some birds gobble with no awnser. I pulled this thing out and blew it....the woods came alive, Turkey's in every direction! His son calls me now and asks me calling tips! I'm not realy that good...lol

That’s exactly how they sounded around my house in Oklahoma. About five of them would gather on the trees around my property and just hoot it up.
