They were all around me with a few very close watching me and they were all hollering loudly, it was an awesome experience and scary at the same time with them swooping over my head trying to find the source of the calls, I’ll definitely have to record them next time…👍

Totally understand why the Barred Owl would attack the closest source of the sound that's been taking all its energy and time.

Did you know they nest inside trees with woodpecker holes. That’s how I try to figure out where they are.
