it was this exact piece of advice that defined his ENTIRE method of dealing with the Goa'uld. Just mock the shit outta them.

And Jack loved every second of doing it:
"Sorry I am late Ba'al, but I had breakfast."
      "Insolence!"
      "No, tuna actually."

I think Teal'c loved how emotionally bonded O'Neill was to his people. Teal'c came from a world where its leaders didn't give a crap about the Jaffa. So when he saw O'Neill caring and worrying and standing up for his people he was very impressed.

And so, the US Air Force's greatest intergalactic troll was born.

In other words, treat them like a Bond villain. They can't help their arrogance getting the best of them.

Make sense. They played god for so long, enjoying so much adoration and worship, their ego must've inflated to the size of Atlantis.

Teal'c's advice "Do not see your friend" would have been a lot more helpful if Samantha Carter did indeed have a Goa'uld inside her (philosophically speaking)

I agree she had Jolinar in her a Tok'ra although the Tok'ra can also have their moments still better than dealing with a full on nasty Goa'uld.

They should never do a reboot of this show.
