Tbh with the brackets in the title I thought it was gonna be a little more complicated than you let on but I was surprised when it actually worked you earned a sub thank you.
Just tried this and it does work. I had a problem where I could control the menu but not in game. Make sure your Xbox controller is turned off and it should ask to switch to mouse and keyboard and you’re good to go👍 -------EDIT: go to settings, general, change controller to keyboard and mouse
But how do I speak in Party then 😐
Dj Voltro once you turn off your controller and it asks you to switch to keyboard then click it. Then you can turn your controller back on and use the headset in that.

BHK Quavery have your keyboard and mouse plugged in. Launch COD MW and go to warzone or multiplayer or whatever using your controller. Once you’re there you should be able to move your mouse. Go to settings, general and on input devices switch it from controller to keyboard and mouse.

I will be making a video on this exact subject very soon. But so far, there are only a few options around this, 1 - using you controller and keeping it turned on and headset plugged, 2 - using your phone with the xbox app, and joining party through that device. 3 - using a windows 10 pc/laptop and using the xbox companion app. And 4 - buying a Mix amp like the astro a40 amp to use via USB with your xbox as your main chat/sound device. Hope that helps. 🙏
And yes any keyboard and mouse combo will work, as long as it is not Bluetooth.
