Thanks! I did buy a set of OEM black headlights that need new lenses. Later this year I am going to swap everything out and upgrade all of the bulbs. Should be pretty cool.
I went the cheap route and got the black vinyl overlays. They go on just like window tint. Beings they are non see thru, I still have the chrome outline of the factory emblems. It looks nice on my black Grand Sport and goes with the factory chrome wheels rather well. Your ZO6 is pretty sweet. My next task is the ghost Oracle side markers like you installed. Adding trinkets never ends!

Like you, I don't want chrome on my vehicles. I've been removing it from my pickup a little at a time for years. Now I want to de-chrome a C6 Grand Sport. Thanks for the tip on the logos.

Jason, the heat gun and dental floss (not dental tape) and you would have been amazed. The amount of removing the old emblem tape would have been minimal plus you wouldn't have had to tape around the old badge to prevent damage a very slight witness from where the badge was (never exsposed to UV rays) will be slightly darker. Just use floss behind the badge like you would floss your teeth " back and forth"
I actually did that when I removed the side emblems and replaced them with black ones. (ruclips.net/video/7YEAIPJxXkU/видео.html). That works about the same, but I didn't use a heat gun. Hmmm...shoulda used both. I do plan to get some custom side emblems so I will have to remove thee black ones I put on last year. 😏

I am pretty particular about where things go, and I feel pretty confident that just using masking tape (which you will need to protect your paint when removing the old ones), I got as close as I would with locating pins.
Hey Jason. Those emblems look great! Ok, I have a very specific question. When ordering these, there's a dropdown called Bowtie Color. I'm afraid the black may be too black. Are the ones you installed Gray or Silver? They look gray and I think that's what I may want. Can you reply as soon as you can? Ready to pull the trigger! Thanks.
So far so good. A little difficult to clean since part of the emblem has a rough texture, so microfiber gets grabbed a little bit by it. Otherwise, I love 'em.

It's too bag their customer service is so poor. I messaged to ask about the material and they kept responding with "paper mache." They clearly don't give 2FX about their customers either. I know they're plastic but wanted to know about the type of "plastic."
I am sure you can apply them to any flat surface if you wanted to. Would it look right? I don't think it would look bad...but define "right". :). Some might give you a hard time for it not being the "original" location. But, it is your car and you should do what you think would make you enjoy it more!
I installed the same emblems on my c6. The only thing i dont like about them is the adhesive backing is so thick that dirt sticks to the surrounding edges of the emblems. Other than that they look killer. Have you had the same issue?
Yeah, I have the same issue sometimes. I use a small metal hook or a flat head screwdriver with some duct tape on the tip, sticky side out and carefully press it on the dirt.
On the front, yes. On the rear, there is a slight gap where the rear bumper cover "arcs" in. I didn't even notice it until you asked. 😁 It is very slight.

To each there own. But for me I don’t get why anyone would hide or tone down the corvette emblem the colors in the emblem are amazing and I think they pop out. I passed up on a 2013 Grand Sport because he blacked out all the emblems. It looked awful. I like to customize my 2010 Grand Sport and I’m sure not every one would like some of the things I did. It’s a beautiful car
I personally don't prefer chrome. I think it is a bit outdated...but only on my cars. Like you said, to each their own, and I never judge someone else or their car negatively because they DO like chrome.
To each their own, I suppose. I was thinking about getting different ones with a red outline that some other people have had made. That way, it won't be so stark and will match the side Z06 emblems that also have red in them. What do you think?

They are gloss black and then the "inset" areas are machined to be a matte texture, which looks like a dark grey (but are still black).

Too much black sucks, so many kids black out everything, wheels look like a primer on it etc etc;)
