    The wickerball looks really good! But its meant to be on the c7 as it has too many sharp edges too much going on that doesn't flow with the smooth lines of the c6z06. I just did the morimoto headlights and they look so darn good! Looking forward to seeing that install soon on your car!

    Man, this is Crazy. Most of the comments are on not liking the C6.5 looks. I've been looking for a more aggressive spoiler for my Z06 and then this shows up. I was like Ohh Hell Yes. But After seeing the way it looked installed well, I'm not to sure now. It's one thing going around thinking the new spoiler looks bad ass but when most other people think it looks kinda Gay well, makes ya second guess it now. Lol. Can you post some pics of it sitting out on the street at like a side angle and from a rear view(standing behind the car) getting the entire shot of the car in it. I think this might help. The vids are really close up and it just dont show the true beauty of it all. Thanks for all you do Bro. Great work👍👍

    I really like your information videos!
    I like the look of this spoiler but I have a APR carbon fiber one on my C6 and that costs too much money for me to replace.
    I had installed a set of the led tail lights on my C6 after you did the video for them and they look GREAT!
    I have just installed the C7 headlights on my car and they look much better than the stock units. If you are ever thinking of installing these headlights on your car I would recommend buying the from Radio Innovations because they have a wiring harness to be used to just plug and play the new units in your car. If you do not use the wiring harness only from them which is free with the headlights if bought form them it is more difficult in wiring up the new headlights. Check them out sometime!
    Please keep the videos coming!

    • @InJasonsGarage

      Thanks, Paul. Glad you like the vids. I have fun making them. As I mentioned, I am on the fence with the Morimoto headlights because I think it gets closer to trying to make the car look like a C7...almost being a poser type of thing. I don't know if I am the minority of that thought, though. Definitely on the fence.
      How did you do the installation? Did you remove the bumper cover?

    • @InJasonsGarage
      @InJasonsGarage  5 лет назад

      I do agree but I have to think there is a reason for it. I couldn't tell you what those reasons are at this point. :) At first, I had real crummy feelings about the holes, but I got to thinking...it will never not be covered and don't think I will have a reason to add more of them. And..the car car with side skirts (unknown company) that are screwed to the body and I didn't have problems with those holes. Can't change it now! :)

      After having this installed for a while...I feel it is worth it. The more I look at it, the more I like it. Just enough for a modded C6. Maybe just a bit over enough, but as a friend of mine used to say, "too much is just enough". I use that advise sparingly, but it works here! 😎
      I am still impressed by the quality. If you order one, you will see as soon as you open the box.

    New 6.5 spoiler arrived. Sold by Online Extreme now all thru Amazon, but no hardware upgrade offered. Also received their splitter and side boards for my 2012 GS. I got word a little while ago that Innovative Auto Creations might be stopping the sales of the spoiler, but I wasn't sure how that was going to play out. Other than the serial number plate and the custom options for color and hardware and all that, do you see any difference between what I have in this video and what Extreme Online provides?

    • @Clemens-bar
      @Clemens-bar Год назад

      Ya, saw that their website name was up for sale so I figured. The actual pieces for the wicker bill 6.5 looks just like your video but without what you mentioned, hardware, color, choices, and serial number. Paint looked excellent packed very well. I see no issues with the install, but did see one video that use the foam to seal gaps at the end. I’ll see how it looks and go from there, nothing difficult, really, just making it fit. Since it comes with its own third brake light, I need to return my European model LED third taillight and buy a little box that does the blinking third brake light routine. And install that as well. Now we are getting into your other territory of lighting. Lol.

    I wonder how the extra downforce affects the front (aero wise). I know the ZR1 spoiler was matched with front splitter to help minimize front end lift.

    • @InJasonsGarage
      @InJasonsGarage  5 лет назад

      That's a really good point. Probably something that shouldn't be overlooked. I do have a ZR1 front splitter that I need to install to balance everything out, I'd better start working on that.

    • @jayhilliard4365

    • @InJasonsGarage
      @InJasonsGarage  2 года назад

      I bought mine direct from Innovative Auto Creations. Yes, I paid more than what is on Amazon, but I wanted to know I received premium quality and I didn't want to have to pay to have it painted and to have to deal with potential issues like the 3rd brake light not working or fitting. In the end...it wouldn't have been that great of a difference if you factor in both time and money.

    • @InJasonsGarage
      @InJasonsGarage  5 лет назад +1

      I am on stuck the fence with the Morimoto headlights because I think it gets closer to trying to make the car look like something it is not (a C7). It almost stopped me from getting the C6.5 Wickerbill Spoiler. What do you think?

    • @gtab6936
      @gtab6936 5 лет назад +1

      Jason's Garage I agree with that. I’m partial to switching the stock headlights for black OEM ones to give the front a unique but more restrained look than the C7 style.

    Question?

    Your thoughts?
    Im waiting for my spoiler to arrive

    • @InJasonsGarage
      @InJasonsGarage  2 года назад

      Nothing to worry about. When you pull your old spoiler off, you can almost look straight down the holes and see the surface the car is sitting on. It is surprisingly hollow and open behind the rear bumper cover. Any rain that gets in the holes simply drops down to the underside of the car, no different than the factory spoiler. If anything, the C6.5 is better because it has that gasket.

    No way would I ever drill into the body of my car like this. If you are buying something thats an aftermarket and its a quality price, then the manufacturer should have made the part to align to the factory holes. Just my humble opinion.

      I do agree but here's how I justified it. The car looks tame without at least the ZR1 spoiler on the back. Any mistakes I made would be covered by the spoiler and never be seen. I do agree about the lack of lining up with factory holes, but the non-ZR1 doesn't have the holes anyway. If I hadn't switched from the ZR1 spoiler to this one, I would have 4 less holes drilled. ;)
      If you see the video I just released ruclips.net/video/l82RtIwaUl8/видео.html there were holes in the front from a previous owner, too!

      Agreed, it is but like many things, you get what you pay for as the quality is top notch. I have been getting a lot of compliments on it since I installed it, more than I thought I would because I thought it would be a "love it or hate" it situation. Maybe it is one of those things where photo and video doesn't quite capture it but real like does?

      Thanks for the suggestion. Prices can change over time, so I give the link in the description. In this case, the prices also change based on customization.
