    Haggerty's teeps to the face are so aesthetically pleasing. You guys might want to avoid trying the technique if you're training in Thailand though 😅

    • @mechtainted
      @mechtainted 2 года назад +399

      @@eventhorizon7234 it's culturally inappropriate, as the feet (the lowest and least clean) and head (the highest and most important) shouldn't touch. Feet in general are something to be careful about (eg you shouldn't point with your feet, shouldn't show bottom of feet to buddah at temple etc).
      A lot of this is disregarded in Muay Thai where necessarily you're kicking all the time. With that said, almost all Thai fighters I've seen will apologies if they teep to the face in training. You can legally do it in MT, but you're probably going to piss the other guy off, and if you're not used to Thai customs it can get a bit confusing. I'd advise most people to just avoid it if they're visiting to train over here.

      I like them both equally. My one discrepancy about Rodtang is he allows hits and that free damage may hurt him in the long run and get him in a fight. I hope those free shots don't bring him down in battle. I would think much more highly of his fighting style if he didn't do that. Sure it's a spectacle, but I'd much rather see him block or deflect it. Haggerty is a very charismatic fighter, just look at his Instagram, his training and how he talks to people. i love haggertys guarded elbows - see how he locks his arms to his head whe hes guarding and uses his body to torque the elbows forward. very very functional - he uses his whole body weight to stab at and pierce through ones guard.
    the attack kind of moulds your body into a hammer - the locked, forward pointed elbows with hands locked on the head uses the legs and core as it primary power. this is why it can break down and through guards.

    Watching elite Muay Thai fighters is a thing of beauty, so technically good. Check out tawanchai who fights in one championships. Featherweight Muay Thai champion I believe. Outstanding striker. Probably one of the best I’ve seen, technique is perfect everytime.

      Rod tang the favorite was gifted that last fight. Not only that but the ref tapped on Haggertys back to stop the clench and split them up and as soon Haggerty let go rod tang hit him before they were even split up.

    Bro and there are still people who say that in majority a boxer would be in an advantage when fighting a muay thai fighter 😀😵

    • @FkTheUFC
      @FkTheUFC Год назад

      Those people are ignorant. Boxers win in boxing bout (most of the time, there have been Nak Muays and kick-boxers who have become world boxing champions) but put a Boxer vs a Nak Muay or kick-boxer in a full striking bout, the boxer would get destroyed everytime.
