That's what years and years of hardening of the shins will do for you. Even kicking the heavy bag consistently for a prolonged period of time will help.
There are a lot of factors when it comes to weight. Bone and muscle density, hydration is taken into account before the fight can commence. Just because the guy is smaller doesn't mean he doesn't weigh as much and using gear would make you more muscularly dense this heavier.
Guy looks to be taking the Vitor Vitamins as well as being tough as hell. While he looks bigger than everyone his upper legs/thighs are very skinny, if he can survive the leg kicks above the knee for a few more years he has a bright future. I like how he digs to the body, and has some good offensive leg checks to deter non stop kicks. I'll be looking forward to the superlek fight
as long as he makes weight it doesn't matter... they are pro fighters, all of them should aspire to make the weight with the most muscle and less fat possible
Carillo looks massive, like he is fighting opponents from 2 or 3 weight classes below him. I can't say that he looks amazingly skilled compared to his opponents, he just looks like he weighs a lot more than them.
Hard fight would love to see him throw with the right a little more mix it up not always off the jab his hands will be the key , He has the power I believe he can do it !!! Slainte Mhath Brathair
@@fightfiend He's clearly found someway around the rehydration rules, because he is the biggest fighter I've ever seen for his weight class in one. Something isn't right.
He is tough and fast with nice footwork, but you can see how he could lose to Superlek. That right hand drops and pulls back every time he starts a technique - even a combination that starts with a stiff jab. He gets away with it in these fights because of his length against these opponents. All it will take is an opponent with a sharp left kick that he can deliver to the head the instant Nico Carrillo pokes out a hard jab. For the same reason, Carrillo was also vulnerable to long left hooks in some of these fights. I could see check hooks and left elbow counters that come down over the shoulder, giving him all sorts of problems when he steps into a combo. If he could spend some time with a technically sharp coach, he could really make some waves, but he will need to work hard on those hand levels first. I do like that he moves his head off the centre line on most hand techniques and how he nullifies the teep with catches and sweeps, but, again, he drops his hands often in the hope of getting the catch and sweep. This leaves him wide open if someone fakes a teep kick and then goes upstairs. He has potential, but unlikely to master Superlek at this stage
I believe if he looks that big and makes the weight. He has low bone density. Like in the first fight, his legs couldn't take the kicks. He obviously can beat Superlek with his boxing but if the Kicking Machine can defend it and light him up with the leg kicks, he gets it done within the distance.
He obviously has high bone density, look at the way he checked kicks. You can't check kicks like that with low bone density. Nong-O is a fantastic kicker and lit him up, and has huge legs.
@huwhitecavebeast1972 you're probably right. I had that thought because I can't see how he makes the weight then baloons up when he fights. He looks big for 64Kgs. Maybe he just has a great rehydration plan. What do I know?🤷♂️

Do these guys watch film of other fighters like they do in boxing? He has power in his hands, that's what is saving him so far, but Superlek will beat him when they fight now.
