Yeah, but this is a Chinese documentary used to talk about the wonders of Tibet and how China is totally not destroying their culture, because it “still exists wonderfully”.
Notice they have a method of deconstructing it. The immaterial is just as important as the material. Life make way for death, death make way for life. Impermanence is the cosmos, aka the only constant is change. The beautiful picture is still there, just piled up then scattered to the winds.
The sand is given away and cast in rivers as a blessing. It's not just a metaphor of impermanence and if you really think about it, it's actually about conservation of fundamental form -- Though the mandala is deconstructed the sand is carried by the river to the oceans and to all the shores of the world bringing the blessings with it.
same thing happens with the whoile Universe. It just unfolded what was inside it, but some people see chaos instead of a sort of "disorganized order" o a "pre-state". In any case, I think chaos is in our imagination, and harmony surrounds us. The question is finding the order of the universe inside the idea of what our mind perceibe as chaos.
Its meaning we should know that as a view of buddism. It's compared our lives to Mandara, which is very similar to them, every human body fades away like the sands in it, nothing remains after that right away.
Hindus also 😊😊 I'm a hindu and we people also do sand art It is as worship We people do it to impress Gods And they monks used that sign is also a sign in Hindus These signs are so powerful and these can bring happiness and prosperity and can release negative energy
My dog just died at the young age of 6 months. He had already survived terrible health problems and was looking like he was going to have a full happy life. Everyone loved him and he was the nicest and sweetest one. But alas, he didn't survive his last sudden respiratory problem. Thinking of his life as a mandala has helped me a lot.
I’m sorry for your loss my friend. Life is short, disasters happen. It hurts. I hope that in the time you’ve spent grieving you can look back on his life with happiness and fond memories, instead of with sorrow.
I’ve recently converted to Buddhism, the more I learned the more it spoke to me! I advise you do your own research on all religion and find what’s best for you, all of the world is connected so don’t feel as if there’s a wrong answer, even though there are those that will
Wow absolutely stunning. I watched one at a college where they put the sand down with a metal pencil looking thing that was vibrated with another metal piece . I'm sorry I don't remember the name of it. But what I'm trying to say is it wasn't done by hand like this is. This is so much more intricate. Especially using their fingers to place the sand. Absolutely amazing
This sand painting quite esoteric, mystical, symbolises the ultimate meaning of life as such. Greatest human achivement has no value.....life and death... ultimately it all Void...Shoonya....Nirvana is the only reality...hope..aspiration.... everything has come to end...this great truth is depicted through this Sand painting!❤️👌✋😂
It means all will disolve in sand one day how it couldbe beautyful no matter,,hi i want to learn drigon painting for chockchis can somebody help me plz
Is there any version available eith english subtitles? This video is much longer and seems more in depth than most on the process and belief, so I'd love to know what they are saying.
@@TibettravelOrg I must ask why you titled this video in English, and in the description tell us in English to watch the video to get an understanding of it, when none of the video is in English nor are there subtitles in English. What were seriously, actually thinking when you decided to publish this video to an English audience?
Given enough time, we are all anonymous.. we are all just passing through.. there will come a time where no one will know who is under our headstone ..The clock stops for all eventually, even for every monk who participated in this mandala, and they know it!🙏
Even if you arent a religious buddhist, the message says something beautiful every religion can interpret. For me , it says: why even care to take pride in doing anything of great measure at all, unless its done for reflecting towards the greater glory to God
To understand the mandala or the wheel of life we must first look at the whole picture. Several versions are known. The original wheel of life is held by a beast with five skulls on its head, sharp teeth and claws and often references to fire around it. The animal looks very aggressive. The beast comes from the sky to the earth. The wheel is divided into four equal compartments and one larger one. There are circles around it and two central circles with often three symbols in the middle. There are many different explanations for this image. But the real message is that there is a celestial body that comes close to the sun and its planets every few thousand years. That planet circles our sun in an eccentric orbit. Of the seven passages of this planet 9, five cause a severe to disastrous natural disaster that we know as a flood. The five skulls refer to this and the middle head is the largest because it represents the worst disaster we know as "the end of times". These disasters create four civilizations that can only develop for a few thousand years and the fifth civilization lives longer, 10,800 years. This cycle occurs according to a fixed timetable, just as we can calculate the sunrise of any given day. In the center we see symbols that refer to constellations. They tell the orbit of this planet. To learn more about the flood cycle with a timeline and highly developed disappeared civilizations, you can read an e-book: Planet 9 = Nibiru. search: planet 9 roest
The art in itself does nothing but the way it was made is the perfect way to pass down knowledge, if you can make this you can it’s method to create much more. It’s math and geometry, learn it.
Your very life may be as intricate and beautiful as this sand painting. You may endeavor with just as much discipline to perfect it. Can you also accept that even your life is to be swept away? Perhaps there is enlightenment there.
Because it's showing that in life u have to learn that things will get destroyed or you will lose something that you have spent hours on and deal with it because at some point in life you'll lose everything

FREE TIBET!! Let the world pray that the Tibetan people get their freedoms and control of their country back so that the Tibetan culture can survive.
I'm Indian but I'm for the freedom of Tibet.
Every Indian wants freedom of Tibet..... We even gave shelter to honourable Dalai lama

Samsara movie has a mandala scene where they use metal pencils as you described.

I know thay destroyed it at the end but still

Actually, they use a special, very dense kind of sand to prevent damage due to wind or sneezes.
