It's not a dumb question, but it's a similar question as why wouldn't it just come with its own battery? You're buying a DIY solution as opposed to a meticulously made jakery or bluetti system. This gives you more control of what you want to do and doesn't charge you out the bumb for all the tiny little features if you're capable of doing them yourself. There are some other reasons but I consider this the most practical answer to your question, which is a great, valid question.
Let me just add on to that, as an electrical professional, there's a lot of systems that we use that could come with more built in, but these guys make a lot of money charging for the same equipment they've been making years and years and years😂 They think "if it ain't broke don't fix it.. just charge more"
I bought one of these plus the remote for it as well, only to find out the remote does NOT work with the new black inverters, only the old blue ones. then why put an Rj11 adaptor socket in them if there is no remote available for them? or am I missing something here Adventure Kings?

Hey love the vid, where you install the inverter to the mounting board. Is there any videos or explanations about these fitouts. I have a canopy similar and are keen to do the same thing
Purchased this inverter and connected 150A circuit breaker between inverter and battery connecting with the cables that came with the inverter. When i connect my 1200w pizza oven to the inverter the fuse blows after only a minute and cables are hot. Why???
Just keep in mind that your cabling is matched to the power draw of the inverter and the fuse or circuit breaker is matched with the size and length of the cable to protect it in case of a short. I'm not sure about the smaller diameter negative cable - my understanding of electrical theory is that the smaller negative cable will bottleneck the circuit. Also, if you're using a crappy lithium battery with a BMS that sometimes trips under the load of a blender starting up, then an easy-to-reset circuit breaker that caps the possible inverter power draw a bit is much easier than getting external power to the battery to reset the BMS, especially in a camper.
These kings batteries have a 100ah max continuous discharge and 160ah 10 second max pulse discharge so not so crappy compared to 90% of other lithium batteries on the market so could probably handle your blender start up !
