Murphy slams latest NJ Transit disruption as ‘unacceptable’

- After New Jersey Transit suspended trains on the Northeast Corridor for hours during the Tuesday morning rush, Gov. Phil Murphy called the latest service meltdown "unacceptable." As angry rail riders vented on social media, Murphy said, "It feels like both Amtrak and NJ Transit had issues. We're trying to get to the bottom of that."

It’s almost like decades of divestment in public transit are resulting in systemic issues. Gee, who could have guessed. Murphy is talking a big game while not pushing for dedicated funding.
I mean we have billions for a war happening 5000 miles away but don’t have a dollar to fix trains within the country.
Funny how we ask NJ transit to do more with less, but taxing Amazon and other multinational corporations, AKA asking them to do more with less? Oh no, can't do that.

Where are the NJ Transit officials in all this? Why have they not issued any statements reassuring the riding public that this issue will be resolved? Nobody believes in public relations anymore.

Really, the only solution to fix things is a few trillion dollars in reparing/rebuilding the ENTIRE electrified railroad infrastructure! D.C all the way to Boston
But we gave half that money to Ukraine and Israel. Just wait for the tax hikes to suck up more money from us to give to other countries
