Hey William, some over eager someone at TeeSpring deleted the tee shirt listing you're looking for with me unawares... it's annoying when they bombard me with all sorts of trash I DON'T want but delete something I DO want! Anyways I'll work to re-create the shirt so you can get one... they're kind of a kick to wear around to see people's reactions... and try to remember to let you know when they're available again. Best, Matt
@@NextLevelCarpentry thanks. I really loved the piece. Want to wear the shirt down to my hardwood supplier, maybe my moulding folks and a few others. Bill
@@billinfarmington5189 You can probably tell I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with TeeSpring... sorry, but their interface frustrates me. I re-created a tee with the same graphics as the one that disappeared so it's the same for all intents and purposes. Anyways, if you scroll down to the bottom of this page you should see a link to two BS1000 tee shirts, one short sleeve style and a long sleeve style, both with the same graphics. teespring.com/stores/next-level-carpentry-swag-shop Note it's not the exact one seen in the video because TeeSpring doesn't print on the sleeves (I made that first long sleeve tee just for the video using iron-on logos created on an inkjet printer) but it's got the official graphics we created for ongoing BS1000 conversations. There's some other BS1000 swag like stickers and a poster, depending on how far you might want to take things. 😉😎Let me know what you think of the shirts and, if/when you get one, how it goes over with people you run into? Thanks! Best, Matt
@@NextLevelCarpentry Thanks, Matt. I ordered a shirt and a mug for my buddies Christmas present. How would I send you any comments? Continue to go back to this reply thread? Bill
@@billinfarmington5189 Yeah, I think this thread is as good a place as any... there might be a place on TeeSpring but I'm a bit upset with them just now😳😯😁😎 Hope everything meets your expectations! Thanks!! Best, Matt
Since I bought this, I have not had to buy a piece of wood. I go to job sites and find scrap boards lying around and take them home. I've built a shed and a house, it has saved me around two hundred thousand dollars. I recommend this to everyone.
Hey Tom, thanks for your rave review, testimonial and recommendation... FYI I hear DuhWALT is on the lookout for a 'poster boy' for promoting the BS1000 and you sound like the perfect candidate to me: :-) Best, Matt
Gary... the logic of your suggestion is reasonable but PLEASE DO NOT run pieces through the BS1000 backwards!!! The helical octiron mechanism is basically a mechanical diode that only functions in one direction! If you accidentally feed the piece through it the wrong way make sure you're wearing boots as I suggest for dealing with Board Stretcher overflow during the malfunction :-) Best, Matt
Impossible on this model as it only understands embigulation technologies, the next model I hear will do both embigulation and unbigulation. Using a whole separate media of course. I am not affiliated with DuhWalt, this is simply talk from around the jobsite water cooler..
Most of us have 'been there' at one time or another Chris... I admire you for admitting it. You can have a bit of fun with your tormentors if you'll show them this video and tell them to go out an buy one of these to fix the mistakes they're making to need one in the first place! 😁🤣🤣😎 Best, Matt
Thanks Becky! Hope you can have a little fun sharing this with your friends and subscribers... might just be able to pull a leg or two. Happy Easter to your and your shop buddy!! Best, Matt
May I add the Whiteboard section was pure genius - you are truly one very, very funny guy with a somewhat twisted (and very dry) sense of humor. Thanks for numerous laughs.
I can't take credit for the whiteboard concept... that's my good friend Dan's brainstorm... but I felt the same way you do when he first suggested it. He was a great help in refining the graphics for it too so the video would have been much less without his input. You're certainly welcome for the laughs! Best, Matt
Wow, I'm thinking that if I keep running that board multiple times I could open a lumber yard!! What a great invention! Best review I've seen this year.
The level of B.S. in this video is epic. Well done sir!!! I truly enjoyed the fact you did the math on the percentage of the fictional increase and when you showed the board completely disappearing into the planner. Again, well done sir:)
Hey Virgil, the Board Stretcher DID get pretty deep on this one by the time it was done, didn't it? I'm waiting for someone to tell me the percentage math was B.S. too 'cuz I'm not sure I did the percentage calculation right myself. Thanks for your comment and compliment... and Happy Easter! Best, Matt
Next Level Carpentry I figured it was since it ended in .03% and you were measuring with an analog ruler instead of a digital caliper. Awesome video with a lot of detail.
Sounds great Armando... let me know how it 'plays' at your safety meeting! Keep in mind that there's official BS 1000 tee shirts available for anyone who wants to take the joke to the next level... Best, Matt
That was even better than the iClone.. 10lb BS in a 5lb bag.. Hahahaha outstanding. How you kept a straight face while making that I'll never know.. 😂😂👍
Thanks baxterboy23... I hesitate to self-promote but thought you might like that one. BTW there's a Teespring link in the video description in case you want to buy a DuhWALT t-shirt and spread the BS around to friends... there I go self-promoting again 🙄 Working on ideas for an April 1 2019 video production release already... that answers your question about keeping a straight face. By the time video shooting actually starts I've been over the script so many times it's actually work just to get it done and the humor is long gone. Good thing is I can get through it and you get to see the final result before tiring of it. Best, Matt
I know what you mean... this video project was as much wishful thinking as anything else Rich! I'd be lyin' if I said I never need a BS1000! Best, Matt
Yup, that's pretty much the main sales pitch for the BS1000, Livereater... don't be surprised if someone from the marketing department at DuhWALT gives you a call asking to use your comment as promotional material on their website DuhWALT.com :-) Best, Matt
I have seen several guys go to the lumber store asking for a board stretcher and come back humiliated. I couldn't believe they thought they were real! It is like when my husband sent newbies in the hospital to the supply room to get some Fallopian tubes!
Hi Matt, you had me so enthused up to half the video until I realized...🤣 👍 Back in the mid '70s it had this TV series (at least it was aired in our country Trinidad W.I. during those times) "My Favorite Martian" with Ray Walston & Bill Bixby. It had this particular episode (Can't quite remember being a kid back then) and Ray being the Martian had some sawdust on the ground and just twinkle his finger and it come out to be a solid 2 x 4 lumber... Only a few days ago I found your videos and looked up your channel and am very amazed with the simple way you approach woodworking. I just love them. I love the video how you took a large Framing Square and made a circle and the other video where you made an Arch and so very easy. Your ideas are very informative and has opened up a new way of doing woodwork. I being a woodworker since 1981 and is now building cabinet doors full time for the past 10 yrs or more. I also build kitchen cabinets and bedroom closets plus many different type of interior work. Your videos are very inspiring and I don't normally post any comments but I just could not resist yours. Thanks a whole bunch.
Thanks for breaking out of normal and posting such a great comment, Errol... it is an inspiration to me! I remember 'My Favorite Martian' but not any episode in particular. The one you mention is a perfect fit for this video... Ray Watson's 'board stretcher' beats the BS1000 by a long shot 😂😂😎 I'm glad you got beyond the Board Stretcher video to some of the 'serious' stuff at Next Level Carpentry and to learn the videos are helping you out... that's the main goal for building this channel. The 'simple way' I approach woodworking is a self-taught collection of stuff I've seen, learned and developed my whole life so it's quite different from other's who have taken official classes, workshops and courses. What I hope to share is that things I teach can be applied to carpentry in real-life work because they're what I use on a daily basis to run a comfortably profitably custom design/build carpentry business; a real distinction from woodworking videos for the sake of woodworking alone. Please share thoughts or comments on other videos here... they're always welcome, even if you see something you don't understand or agree with. Best, Matt
I have learned that if the boards are too short on one end, an effective solution is to rotate the board 180° and cut the needed length from the opposite end.
This must have been a ton of work! You had to make a custom shirt, custom labels, a custom machine (unless this was just a planner or something) and come up with all the crazy lingo! This is the kind of dedication the world needs more of!
Thanks for noticing and commenting, Jimbo... you're pretty much right on with your observations; it was a surprising amount of work, but with reactions like yours, it's been well worth the effort. BTW I'm working on making DuhWALT BS1000 t-shirts and SWAG available for viewers like you who might want to spread the Board Stretcher around a bit! :-) Best, Matt
Cool Chris... this link should take you to TeeSpring where a t-shirt and 'Whiteboard Graphic' poster are available. Let me know how it works out as I haven't done a very good job of promoting this stuff... yet. 😁😎 Best, Matt
Oh Matt, you are a dandy. That has to be 1 of the best April fools jokes Ive seen in ages. I hope you have another 1 lined up for next year. *CROSSING FINGERS*
Glad you found this video JohnBoy... put a lot of time into it hoping to get a chuckle and a comment from viewers just like you. Actually have 2 options for next April Fools but haven't decided which to run with... yet. BTW you might come across the 'iClone App' video here on NLC... it was my first spoof attempt so if you overlook the clumsy production you might get a kick out of it too... We're havin' fun now! Best, Matt
Matt, the was really good. Took me a few minutes to notice "DuhWalt". You seem so serious all of the time. Never expected something like this from you. Too funny!
LOLITMOTN= Laughing Out Loud In The Middle Of The Night? There's definitely 'something just not right' with the BS1000! :-) BTW a DuhWALT tee-shirt and whiteboard schematic poster are now available through links in the video description if you're interested... Best, Matt
My trades were tile and plumbing, we had the tile stretcher.. I even dummied up a box with pictures, barcode, and a RonCo symbol for a buddy of mine. This video has been in my feed for a few days now and I just avoided it as I'm no fan of clickbait, then I noticed the author/producer and figured why not look and see... Glad I did.
I'm glad you did too themightyparthos, mainly because I tried to pack as much 'click bait' as I could into this one... and this one too: ruclips.net/video/ToBVDAnqrP8/видео.html Best, Matt
Shop classes around the country should be watching this ! ( OH WAIT ! WE DON'T HAVE SHOP CLASS ANYMORE ) ! Had to watch to the very end ! Great creative writing ! Very funny for those of us old enough to remember our shop class instructor sending some poor sucker kid to look for the perverbial " board stretcher " !
Quadsman11, this video is only a couple weeks old now so I'm curious the effect it might have on the psyche of all those 'poor sucker kids' when they find the BS1000 and imagine how their life would have been different if they'd returned to their merciless shop class instructor with this video playing on their smart phone! Thanks for your comment on the video and 'creative writing'... Best, Matt
That's cool, Richard! Let me know if you want a higher resolution image for the printout and I'll upload one to the Pinterest link on Next Level Carpentry... Best, Matt
Thanks Evan, working with a good friend we tried to dial it in for maximum effect of the Board Stretcher component and your comment leads me to believe it was well worth the extra effort :-) Best, Matt
woodstoney, what I'm hearing is that the fine folks at Fullah are working on exactly that: 10 lbs of ready made post holes in a 5 lb sack... go figure! :-) Glad you liked the video...
That's cool Mark... the shirts are kinda fun to wear for seeing people do a double-take at the logo and message😎 Note: the sizing runs a bit small so you might be more comfortable in the next size up from what you usually wear. Have fun! Best, Matt
I use this phrase alot, sarcastically speaking of course. I'm an interior trim Carpenter by trade. Love my job! I will definitely be wearing this shirt to work quite often. Can't wait to order mine!
Thanks for sayin' John... glad to know you found it here at Next Level Carpentry. Hope you find other videos on this channel helpful if not humorous. Best, Matt
SchMasHed, hard to predict what a Flat Earther's reaction to THIS video is going to be but I'm sure I'll be flabbergasted! If you know any, send them a link so we can find out sooner rather than later? Best, Matt
Next Level Carpentry, sorry Matt. Ive already bought stock in a startup building a polyelastamastistic exhaust mounted tester. It allows for testing of multiple exhaust samples simultaneously without direct analysis of exhaust fumes and instead uses a chest mounted reciprocating diode to ossmosisify and suspended particulates into a biological expectorant capable of being analyzed in a lab. Dont tell anyone.
SchMasHed, Your insider trading information is safe with me! But please, do tell more! I want in on the ground floor of any deal that capitalizes on biological expectorant! Here's my social security number and bank routing information: !@##@!$....!##$#$....!#$!#@$ which I trust you with implicitly! :-) Best, Matt
Seriously? They've acted as MY lawyers every time I've needed 'lawyers, guns and money' for over 25 years... I'm afraid they'd have to decline for conflict of interest reason... now what?! :-)
Matt, you were right - laughed so hard I pee'd my pants. Wow, you put a lot of work and money into that video. I see as of today, you have received 1,425 comments so obviously you hit a home run with this. Who in the hell are the 310 people who gave you a thumbs down - guys (or ladies) who tried to order one on Amazon but couldn't find it for some reason? This is my new favorite video of all time! GOOD JOB!
Thought you might get a kick out of that... it's pretty much all the board stretcher anecdotes we've heard in our lives all packed into a single video. I convinced you're right about the nature of the 310 'downers' on this one... it's gotta be tough to handle that moment at Home Despot when ya realize you've been had by a RUclips video so it's only natural to lash out 😏 Best, Matt
DuhWalt gave it away. Also the "Brain cramp" line sealed the deal. I knew this had to be true. Not to mention the BS 1000 is an amazing looking machine that sounds like a drag car. Amazing video.
Busted by my 'brain cramp', eh Richard? As much made up stuff is included in the video that's one I really wish wasn't an occasional reality for me... HATE it when that happens! :-) Really appreciate your comments... Best, Matt
Oh yes the ole turbo incabulator and flux capacitor combined with bovine excrament mixed together for a good ole Carpenters dream tool! Such a good job!
Showin' 'em how to cut super shims is one thing, showing that there really IS a board stretcher? That's a whole other thing... maybe you can win donuts or lunch if you bet the right person :-)
Glad you think so Karol! In case you didn't notice a BS100 t-shirt is available through a link in the video description as is a poster showing the 'schematic' white board graphic... just sayin' 😁😎
Thanks for your comment and compliment, DCD, it's good to know that pain from biting my lip to keep from cracking up was worth it :-) Truth be told by the time all the scripting, planning and set up for a video like this is over it's harder to remember lines than to keep from laughing. Best, Matt
Next Level Carpentry Loved it! You did such an awesome job! The diagram and the terminology was excellent. I also admired that you even came up with labels for the planer with Duh-Walt. Genius!!
Thanks for sayin', DCD... in an effort to take this video up a notch or two from the one I did for April Fools 2017 (here's a link if you've not seen it): ruclips.net/video/AVV2woCugU0/видео.html I asked a creative and capable friend for some help. The 'whiteboard' was his brainchild and, as a graphic design guy, it was cake for him to whip up legit labels for the machine. He coached me through the process and gave valuable input that made it much more than it would have been otherwise. BTW we're working on a selection of DuhWALT gear themed from the video and I'll notify NLC subscribers when they're available... should be bit more fun there too! Looks like you're getting in to some pretty cool CNC/Laser stuff on your Channel! I've had a local outfit laser names on some of my toolboxes and stuff but I got the idea it was really a stretch for them to get it done. Is that a channel for your business or for hobby and RUclips? Curious... Best, Matt
Next Level Carpentry Hi Matt! Yes, my RUclips channel is for my business as well as hobby too. My laser bed is 24" x 36" and I can engrave anything that would fit in those dimensions up to around 12-14" tall. I will check out the link you provided to your other video. Thanks for the feedback on my channel.
Thanks saundersd1962... I appreciate your opinion of Next Level Carpentry and your taking the time to comment here. I'll do my best to maintain your assessment :-) And thanks for 'binge watching' a bunch of these videos and adding them to your Liked Videos playlist... hope they help you with projects you're working on. Best, Matt
What an awesome video Matt. I was wondering if it’s too late to show my appreciation for the time and effort that went into creating this. Enjoy All your videos! thanks sir
It's never too late to receive a compliment Gary, thank you! Glad to know you like this and other NLC videos. I love sharing this stuff with appreciate viewers so it's all good! Best, Matt... and Merry Christmas!
The line of fine tools from DuhWALT is expanding as we speak... expect a new tool release from their team of brilliant engineers somewhere around April 1st 2019... just sayin' ! 😁😎
butsukete, Absolutely! Measure carefully to determine which is the shorter short end and be SURE to feed that end into the machine first for best results! :-) Best, Matt
The DuhWALT level bubble water replacement was a life saver. There the only ones that have the bubble factory installed. Was such a pain when I had to do it my self. Too small too big. Spill.. there a life saver. !! 6/4 stars !
Excellent piece of kit, thanks for the video. Now available retail in the UK too (it's known as the BLX1000 over here). What's not pointed out in the video is that the mechanical diode in the original has now been replaced with a bi-directional solid-state diode in the latest model. So it can now be run in reverse, in shortener mode, saving a fortune on saw blade resharpening, and removing the inherent dangers posed when cutting wood by hand using a handsaw. Great device, highly recommended.
Thanks for the tech insight into this unbelievable machine, 2112jonr! You got a hearty chuckle out of me with the BLX1000 Euro branding change... I assume that's the shortened version of your 'bollix'? Perfect! Best, Matt
Next Level Carpentry A pleasure Matt, it's good to see we can appreciate BS and BLX on both sides of the Atlantic ;-) And yes you got it spot on! Great video channel, really good to see a ton of humour in one of them, must have taken you ages to put this together! Keep up the good work, love your serious stuff too I have learned loads, thank you. Best wishes, Jon.
Very cool, Jon... good to share a cross cultural appreciation for BS/BLX with you... there's plenty of it to spread around, that's for sure! Thanks for mentioning 'the serious stuff' too. The more video production I do the faster it gets but then I try to bring in new/different techniques which make it take longer all over again. Still learning how to discern between quality and quantity and so appreciate feedback/input/patience from viewers like yourself while I figger it out :-) The best is yet to come! Matt
Aaaahahahaha. Great video, great laugh. Love the name of the machine and it's parts. Great job on the remodel of the decals. Looks very official. Thanks for the laugh
Thanks Shemai, glad to know you got a laugh out of it... a buddy helped out with the graphics part which is the main reason it 'looks very official'... without his help it would have been somewhat less convincing. Best, Matt
Thank you for saying so... there's a fine line between a great sense of humor and plain old insanity so I hope to stay on the right side of that line😁😎Best, Matt
Hey Matt...How's things? I think we need to find you some more work. Too much time on your hands. But you made me laugh out loud. Thanks. Once saw a kid on a carpentry crew go all the way to the lumber yard to pick up a board stretcher. He couldn't show his face in that yard for years.
Hi Ed... things is pretty good these days... too busy, but good. Luckily things were a bit more relaxed in March so I had time to build the BS1000 video. Now the weather's nice so I'm not so jealous of you but I've spent all my spare time April and May on a sawhorse build video and it's go a ways to go yet. When you see it uploaded you'll know time's freed up a bit 😏😎 Hope all's well with you these days... Best, Matt
Fantom Zap, you made an important connection... Rockwell's Turbo Encabulator was in many ways the inspiration for this video with 'Cambium Retroencabulation' my way of paying homage to that timeless classic. Thanks for commenting, adding this to your Liked Videos and, most of all, your subscription to Next Level Carpentry! Best, Matt
Hey Finish Carpentry TV, glad to know you stopped by to check it out! Any 'shares' you might give it from your powerhouse RUclips Channel would be a big boost for the video and I'd appreciate it. BTW I mentioned your video: ruclips.net/video/LBsJfx4qnN4/видео.html in an earlier Next Level Carpentry video because I thought you did a great job of showing how to get those sharp angles done. All the best for your RUclips and carpentry endeavors! Best, Matt
Hey Mister Fix it, glad you liked this... I ran short of Board Stretcher by the time the video was produced so it might be awhile before there's any more to upload ;-) In the meantime I hope you find other Next Level Carpentry videos helpful even if they are Board Stretcher free and proud! Best, Matt
Glad you like it, Slo Mo... thanks for the 'LMBO' rating :-) I don't want to be pushy but will mention I'm trying out a new thing... with comments from you and a couple other viewers I made a 'skee matic' poster available through TeeSpring through a link in the video in case it's something you're interested in. teespring.com/duhwalt-bs1000-whiteboard-sche?tsmac=store&tsmic=next-level-carpentry-swag-shop#pid=623&cid=102381&sid=front Thanks for commenting!! This product worked so well i bought 3. I bought 10ft 2x4 ran it through all 3 machines simultaneously and got back just shy of 30ft. I ran out of that cambutilation whatcha-ma call it jiggidy who thing, so it out to exactly 29' 27/89th" long.
Love it, Donald... getting creative and pushing the limits... NICE!. Sorry you had difficulty running out of Board Stretcher... now that you have an idea what you can expect I'm guessing you'll call the fine folks and Fullah and stock up for future projects... it's far cheaper by the pallet! :-) Best, Matt
I was considering your response and I realise now that you Sir, are the hope of the planet (and my bank manager). If I splurge on the BS1K then I buy good quality stock in each width and then keep fullah stretchering those boards until I have the correct length stock for everything I need. Does it work for hardwoods as well as softwoods? My wife is going to love you too for the reduction in $$$ outlay for my stock supplies. Last question: when do you release the BS1K 'W' for width stretching?
Thanks CafassoFam... glad you like it... it was fun (and challenging) to make but knowing it's someone's 'favorite video on RUclips' makes the effort worthwhile 😁😎
That's great, Darth... I should suggest to DuhWALT that they include a pair of boots with every purchase! FYI the BS1000 already IS able to run in cordless mode when a wind or solar power source is used... look closely at 3:28 in the video and you'll see solid proof :-) You're welcome 'for (my) time'... thanks for watching and commenting! Best, Matt
Thanks DJ... really appreciate your comment! We tried to have some fun with it so it's fun to share with viewers who 'get it' and enjoy the humor... Best, Matt
I can't wait till you do either... make sure you build a bet into it somehow so you win a box of donuts out of the deal! Good luck and thanks for commenting! Best, Matt
Thanks for letting me know Andy... it's generous of FCTV to share links to Next Level Carpentry which I really appreciate. I think it shows a mutual sense of humor with carpentry work which makes me admire Richard a great deal. Best, Matt
Thanks worlds best, glad you liked it! The name was a fortunate coincidence somewhat at DeWalt's expense but so far they haven't pressed the issue :-) Best, Matt
Well, Matt, I finally came across the legendary Board Stretcher video today, and I must congratulate you for getting 10 lbs of humor into a 5 lb gag! Well Done, Sir!!!! I commend you for the extraordinary creativitiy, fantastic acting, well thought script and ingenious props. However, I won't sand for that overpriced Fulla BS! I know a couple wood-bee chemists who can reverse engineer and break that compound into its basic building blocks. They are part of a splinter group, and in the long term, mite even market it themselves. They often do this kind of thing to keep from getting board. On the plus side, I have heard that you might expand your circle of viewers if you feed them Fulla BS. PS, I'm still not finished reading the comments, so hope I haven't stolen anyone else lines.
Great comment Francis, fullah it's own unique Boisterous Satire... nice! I've feared interfearance from the splinter group you mentioned but, lacking information, expect I'd only bark up the wrong tree in trying to root out effects of reverse engineering. Encrypted documentation on the Octiron mechanism is particularly vulnerable to Brute Strength cyber attacks so it may be only a matter of time before it's felled by haxe from such groups.
Hey Don, I'll have to consider a gag reel... thanks for the idea! It was tough deciding what silliness was going to resonate and what was just my whacked sense of humor that no one would 'get'. Most of the 'genius' is random bits from jobsite jabber, you know the kind I'm talking about? Best, Matt
Oh, I do know of what you speak. Back in 1971, I was on the receiving end of a "Ask Jim over there to get you a left handed Cresent wrench" back on my first job in the machine shop. Dumb a$$ that I was back then, I did. Of course, that was the beginning of a few weeks of snickers at my expense.
Yup... they always hid the left-handed Cresent wrench the same drawer as the metric ones, right? Life would be rather boring if we didn't get to experience being on both ends of gags like that, right? Happy Easter!!
We ALL need one of these from time to time... Check with Amazoon... and remember to include the free offer code. I guarantee they're cheap at twice the price! Best, Matt
Found a sight in Mexico, guaranteed half price next day shipping! Thanks for the code. All I had to do was pay in full. I can't wait for it to get here. The only weird thing is that the tracking number they gave me isn't working. Probably haven't shipped it yet, huh Mexico?
It's a minor inventory delay glitch, I'm sure... just be patient. Hopefully you got the shipment of Board Stretcher in advance so you'll be ready when your BS1000 arrives! :-)
That would have been a hilarious edit... thanks for sharing! I know exactly the sort of noise you're talking about Ron... I truly missed an opportunity here! Best, Matt
Not a problem at all, trottingwolf! See comments below that tell you that you need to measure carefully to find out which of the short ends is the shorter of the two and feed THAT end into the BS1000 first... nothing to it! :-) Best, Matt
this video had me laughing through the whole thing. Good to see some humor in woodworking when sometimes things can get frustrating.I even like all the work that went into making the machine look real.good job Matt.
Thanks for commenting on this one Steven... gotta give credit to my buddy Dan S. at Projex for his invaluable help in making the BS1000 look legit. It was a fun project for sure, especially when I learn it made some one laugh. Best, Matt
Thanks Jose, glad this hit the 'ol funny bone for you! I appreciate the comment and if you'll share it on instagoogletwitface with any friends you think might like it too... Best, Matt
Fear not, legion2k! Check out comments below and you'll see the BS1000 is more than capable of handling boards that are length challenged on BOTH ends, even if one of the two short ends is shorter than the other... :-) Best, Matt
Wow - Someone has spent a considerable amount of time on this. My wife thought I had gone round the bend when she heard me laughing. Nicely done sir - very nicely done. Blessings to you, and my 2021 bring you happiness and peace.
Yeah, this video did take a fair amount of time to produce but every time I hear that someone's 'gone round the bend' it makes all the effort more than worthwhile Merle! Thanks for watching and commenting... best to you in 2021 too! Best, Matt
Is it bad that it took me the whole video to realize that this was fake. At first I was thinking about its DeWalt not duhwalt. After that I had other ideas on y this is fake but whay finally made it click was the end where the steps spelled out faker and that pushed it over the edge. I feel stupid now
Hey Jonathan, it's a compliment to me that it had you going awhile... I tried hard not to laugh and make things relatively legit looking. Watch it again and you'll see a number of other 'easter eggs' hidden in there, starting with the words "Patent Pretending" in the upper left corner of the whiteboard. Don't 'feel stupid' because there's more than a few viewers who will never catch on :-) Best, Matt
Just found your channel. Want to buy one of those shirts. No longer available?
Hey William, some over eager someone at TeeSpring deleted the tee shirt listing you're looking for with me unawares... it's annoying when they bombard me with all sorts of trash I DON'T want but delete something I DO want!
If you need to shorten it, don't bother cutting it. Just run it through the machine backwards.
Gary... the logic of your suggestion is reasonable but PLEASE DO NOT run pieces through the BS1000 backwards!!! The helical octiron mechanism is basically a mechanical diode that only functions in one direction! If you accidentally feed the piece through it the wrong way make sure you're wearing boots as I suggest for dealing with Board Stretcher overflow during the malfunction :-) Best, Matt
Next Level Carpentry well, it might overflow but it will shorten a piece AND produce some extra bs powder.
Impossible on this model as it only understands embigulation technologies, the next model I hear will do both embigulation and unbigulation.
Using a whole separate media of course.
I am not affiliated with DuhWalt, this is simply talk from around the jobsite water cooler..
@@themightyparthos 'unbigulation' LOL!! Best, Matt

20 years ago on the first day of my construction job they sent me to the truck to find a wood stretcher. Well screw u guys, i found it lol

Happened to me the other week... Ahh, being an apprentice.
Happened to me when i was a roofer my dad wld send me to truck for the board stretcher they wld be on the roof laughing their asses off.
My dad's favourite joke was to send someone in a shop to buy a spare bubble for a spirit level!
I just bought one three weeks ago. $3200. No warranty, and I'm still waiting. Thanks duhWALT. !!!!!
Only paid $3200 for it?! Cheap at twice the price Adam! Best, Matt
Had me giggling like a kid! Thanks for the stress relief Matt.
I still remember being sent to the bosse's truck for the board stretcher 45 years ago!
Ahhh, the memories... glad it got you giggling! Best, Matt
Better than anything SNL has put out in decades.
You win the prize for best joke of the year! Great job Matt!
Thanks Becky! Hope you can have a little fun sharing this with your friends and subscribers... might just be able to pull a leg or two. Happy Easter to your and your shop buddy!! Best, Matt
Next Level Carpentry I almost fell for it. Do you have a video on the rebar stretcher?
You're a funny guy... everyone knows there's no such thing as a rebar stretcher :-) Best, Matt
What was the joke?
It was kind of an inside joke.... had to be there. Sorry if you missed it :-)
May I add the Whiteboard section was pure genius - you are truly one very, very funny guy with a somewhat twisted (and very dry) sense of humor.
Creative thinking Stefang... if it works out I expect royalties! Best, Matt
You better buy plenty of that BS powder! 🤣
LOL, I Just Subscribed, I kept waiting for the line, "But wait, there's More! More B.S. for your Buck". LOL Awesome videos.
Thanks Virgil, I just tossed that in there without much thought with hopes of making the embigulation factor more tangible to viewers... who knew?
I really like this reply. Fits right within the spirit of Fullah B.S. LoL
No point in sparing the BS at this point, is there? 😁😂😎 Glad you like it P Hebert! Best, Matt

Best, Matt
AvE definitely needs to do a tool tear down of the BS 1000. I bet even he hasn't seen one of these before.
No doubt for sure! :-)

I just purchased this machine. Thank you so much! It's always a pain in the butt to just buy a longer board. Now, I just stretch wood at home.
Yup, that's pretty much the main sales pitch for the BS1000, Livereater... don't be surprised if someone from the marketing department at DuhWALT gives you a call asking to use your comment as promotional material on their website DuhWALT.com :-) Best, Matt
2:10 The nuance was wonderfull. "cut twice and it's still too short." Priceless! 🤣
That was GREAT. Looking for more video like this. Keep it up.
Most videos at Next Level Carpentry are of a more serious nature but keep an eye out around April 1st this year just in case😀😂😎
Funniest thing I have seen in awhile!! You ROCK Matt and your work is amazing as well!!
Hey thanks Donnie... it's good to have a little fun along the way once in awhile, right? Best, Matt
I have seen several guys go to the lumber store asking for a board stretcher and come back humiliated. I couldn't believe they thought they were real! It is like when my husband sent newbies in the hospital to the supply room to get some Fallopian tubes!
You got it Zavia... think of countless hours spent looking for buckets of steam, turn signal fluid... and fallopian tubes!
Hi Matt, you had me so enthused up to half the video until I realized...🤣 👍
Back in the mid '70s it had this TV series (at least it was aired in our country Trinidad W.I. during those times) "My Favorite Martian" with Ray Walston & Bill Bixby.
Ray Watson's 'board stretcher' beats the BS1000 by a long shot 😂😂😎
I'm glad you got beyond the Board Stretcher video to some of the 'serious' stuff at Next Level Carpentry and to learn the videos are helping you out... that's the main goal for building this channel.
That's the secret Ferman!
Didn't expect Matt to do a vide like this...pretty good I gotta admit
@@NextLevelCarpentry I would buy one.

Perfect! Best, Matt

Thanks for the compliment Aaron... Much appreciated!
Best, Matt
For next year, you need to find a company that will build a tile stretcher.
I'll get right after it... there's no time to loose! :-)
I think there is an app for that you can download into the BS1000, as long as you bought the porcelain antenna option. @@NextLevelCarpentry
My new favorite video on RUclips --- well done man, well done!
Thanks CafassoFam... glad you like it... it was fun (and challenging) to make but knowing it's someone's 'favorite video on RUclips' makes the effort worthwhile 😁😎
“Fullah BS” 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I appreciate the full 6-smiling-emoticon rating, Michael! Matt
rofl. das is soo geil :D *gnihihihihi*
good job old man!
Thanks for your comment Daniel... well, except for the 'old man' part! 😢😁 Best, Matt
When I heard BS1000 I had to check the upload date. Haha
Ben, hopefully your curiosity paid off? Best, Matt
A lot of time and effort went into this B.S. 1000... I needed boots just watching... thanks for your time...
Is there a cordless version of this B.S.?
That's great, Darth... I should suggest to DuhWALT that they include a pair of boots with every purchase! FYI the BS1000 already IS able to run in cordless mode when a wind or solar power source is used... look closely at 3:28 in the video and you'll see solid proof :-)
You're welcome 'for (my) time'... thanks for watching and commenting! Best, Matt
I wounder how many people watched this then tried to order one? Lol good one.
Can't wait to hear testimonials! Best, Matt
Great job. Great video. Best thing I've seen on RUclips in quite a while.
Thanks DJ... really appreciate your comment! We tried to have some fun with it so it's fun to share with viewers who 'get it' and enjoy the humor... Best, Matt
Can't wait to show the guys on the job site.
I can't wait till you do either... make sure you build a bet into it somehow so you win a box of donuts out of the deal! Good luck and thanks for commenting! Best, Matt
"That you've cut twice and it's still too short." Bwaaahaaaahaaaaaa Good stuff! Found you via link from @Finish Carpentry TV
Thanks for letting me know Andy... it's generous of FCTV to share links to Next Level Carpentry which I really appreciate. I think it shows a mutual sense of humor with carpentry work which makes me admire Richard a great deal. Best, Matt
Great vid i love how u use a realististic sounding name
Perhaps try double bitted encryption and let 'em take a swing at it.@@NextLevelCarpentry
@@francismccabe3265 I'll axe 'em if they think it will work...
Matt, you have to do a gag reel for this. Damn, dude that was funny stuff. I especially liked the 10# of BS in a 5# bag. Genius.
Outstanding! I needed that!!!
Laughter doeth good like a medicine, right Dan? Thanks for your comment! Best, Matt
I will always remember the time i got tricked into looking for a pipe stretcher
A painful recollection to be sure! At least you can use this as payback now though, right?! :-) Best, Matt
Israel Vazquez I'll bet you couldn't get it until you found the key to the flag pole !
I love DuhWalt.. They think of everything....
I know... right? 😁😂😎 Best, Matt
It's not on duhwalts website. Have they been released in the US yet? I really need one of these! How much is the MSRP.
We ALL need one of these from time to time... Check with Amazoon... and remember to include the free offer code. I guarantee they're cheap at twice the price! Best, Matt
Its fake man...
Can't imagine what makes you say THAT! :-)
Fantastic. I would have added 1thing. When you turn it off, it keeps sputtering for a minute like my old 76 Dodge did.
That would have been a hilarious edit... thanks for sharing! I know exactly the sort of noise you're talking about Ron... I truly missed an opportunity here! Best, Matt
What if my board is too short on both ends?
Not a problem at all, trottingwolf! See comments below that tell you that you need to measure carefully to find out which of the short ends is the shorter of the two and feed THAT end into the BS1000 first... nothing to it! :-) Best, Matt
@@NextLevelCarpentry The BS2000 will address that small over sight.
this video had me laughing through the whole thing.
Best, Matt
DuhWalt bs1000 it made me laugh in the first 5 seconds
Thanks Razer Sharp, mission accomplished! Share the laughs on instagoogltwitface if you will? Best, Matt
Now that's funny. Thumbs up on this one. You had me rolling off my chair. Specially when you fed it and it disapeared. F@#$%&g funny.
Thanks Jose, glad this hit the 'ol funny bone for you! I appreciate the comment and if you'll share it on instagoogletwitface with any friends you think might like it too... Best, Matt
Now that's a BS done professionally...1000
Hey Rafon, I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not but do appreciate your comment :-) Best, Matt
Great video! Thanks for sharing
You're welcome Don... and thank YOU for commenting here... Best, Matt
one end? Nope.. Mine are too short on both ends.. too bad that BS might have helped..
Fear not, legion2k! Check out comments below and you'll see the BS1000 is more than capable of handling boards that are length challenged on BOTH ends, even if one of the two short ends is shorter than the other... :-) Best, Matt
Or simply buy two BS1000s.. easy!
It's okay. Unless you're a Carpenter. Then it isn't.
