I was not allowed to sit for 8 weeks after my hip replacement. Also no lying on my side (either side) during this period. Do not worry about the numbness, mine took a year for the feeling to finally come back. Be kind to yourself and take it easy. This is a long healing process.
They no longer have any restrictions regarding sitting or lying at the hospital where I got mine done. A friend had hers done at a different hospital a week after I had mine done and she has a lot of restrictions. I guess it is down to the surgeon. Mine is an expert in the fiels and I was sitting all day once they got me out of bed the day after surgery with no ill-effects. My other hip was done a year ago and it healed quickly and had no restrictions. I can lie on my side with no problems once the surgical site pain had lessened.
I cant wait to see your temperature quilt. Sounds so interesting. Sending you healing vibes for your hip and your eyesight. I had a meaty a in my hand when I had an IV last summer. It took over 6 months to heal. It was a hard painful lump, and made me nervous, but it is gone now. I hope yours dissipates quickly. Take care!
Glad you are doing better! Your stitches look good-clever way to sew. I like to use a hoop for some reason. Looking forward to seeing your temperature quilt progress.
Catching up on your videos, glad your leg is better! (Almost commented on the previous one being like hope it gets better but it was a month ago so I figured I would just watch this one first, haha)
Hi Julie I'm glad you are feeling a little better. My Mom has diabetic neuropathy in her foot from breaking a bone, could that be what is happening in your thigh? That quilt is absolutely stunning.
Hi Robin. According to the surgeon it is just nerve damage that will disappear with time and he wasn't able to be more specific than that. Thanks you for the quilt compliment.
I can't wait to try this out when I get my quilt ideas to this stage.
Beautiful!

Thank you very much for the comment. The lump has fully gone now but the numbness is still there but is getting less every day so all good.

Thank you Susan
That quilt is stunning. The hot pink and white are such a brilliant contrast to the tiny prints. I ltive your work.
Thank you very much for the compliment
What a gorgeous quilt...wish I had the patience to make an heirlom quality instead of Grama's "drag" quilts. HAHA.
Thank you very much
So glad your hip is doing better. I have been quite sick with chest cold, but hopefully on the mend now. Happy crafting Patty
Thank you Patty. I hope you recover quickly from your cold.
